Living Dead Girl by Elizabeth Scott
3 out of 5 stars.

“I have been smashed and put back together so many times nothing works right. Nothing is where it should be, heavy thumping in my shoulder where my heart now beats.”

Goodreads Description: The thing is, you can get used to anything. You think you can’t, you want to die, but you don’t. You won’t. You just are. This is Alice. She was taken by Ray five years ago. She thought she knew how her story would end. She was wrong.

It’s hard to write my thoughts on these types of books. It’s also hard to rate them as well. It’s always so strange to me, I guess. It’s hard to say you loved a book about a girl getting kidnapped or you hated it. It’s even harder giving it a bad rating.

Living Dead Girl is a really short read; it’s about 170 pages. The short description of the book instantly made me want to read it and see what it was all about. I flew through it in a day and a half, because it was so hard to put down. Honestly, it’s hard to put any book like this down. It’s sad and pretty disturbing at times. I felt so sad for Alice and everything she had to go through while with her captor. She was 10 at the time she was taken and I can’t even imagine what it would be like for a 10 year old to have to go through what she did and for five years.

It was a good book, but I was very disappointed with the way that it ended. I wanted more from it and it was lacking. It’s hard to say that a book like this is lacking, but mostly it was just lacking a better ending. I wanted a better ending and it wasn’t there. It’s a quick read and interesting; I would recommend it.

Have you read Living Dead Girl? If so, what did you think?

I hope you have a great day! 🙂
