Hey!
Before I jump into my book haul post, I want to show you my new book room! The husband did a pretty awesome job putting in the new flooring and we repainted the walls as well. I wish I took proper before and after pictures of the room, but so that you can get an idea…before we had green walls (it was like a shiny baby green color) and beige carpet. It seriously HAD to go! Now we have grey walls (it has a hint of blue in it) and grey vinyl flooring and it’s so beautiful! π Here are a couple of pictures…

What do you think? π If you click the pictures, you can see them bigger. I am so stoked and happy with the way that it turned out and now I’m in here pretty much ALL THE TIME. I even traded in watching TV shows on an actual TV to watching them on my laptop just so I can be in here. π Maybe this will motivate me to read more and blog more again! Fingers crossed! I do have some other things to say, but I’m going to save it for my October wrap up that I hope to post either tomorrow or Monday.
So, my October book haul…I’m pretty happy with all the books that I got this month and almost all of them were on sale, so that was nice! π You can check out a full list of the books that I own over here. Thereβs links to different pages on my blog that show my e-books and my physical books. Anyway, here are the books that I got in October.
Print Books I Bought:
Swamp Thing by Maggie Stiefvater
Wonderland by Juno Dawson
How to Make Friends With the Dark by Kathleen Glasgow
Hold Still by Nina LaCour
I saw a bunch of different previews/illustrations of Swamp Thing, so I really wanted to get it because it looked awesome. I actually read it this month and I’ll talk a little bit about it in my wrap up coming soon. Wonderland is part of the London Trilogy and since I already have the first two books in the trilogy, I decided to get the third as well. Wonderland actually came with a signed bookplate in the book, which was cool. Hopefully I’ll be reading all three really soon! Hold Still and How to Make Friends With the Dark are books that I found at this discount store, but were also on my TBR. I was stoked to get them for $2.99 each!
E-Books:
Halloween Season by Lucy A. Snyder
The Boy Between by Josiah Hartley, Amanda Prowse
Spellbreaker by Charlie N. Holmberg
The Guinevere Deception by Kiersten White
These Witches Don’t Burn by Isabel Sterling
Tristan Strong Punches a Hole in the Sky by Kwame Mbalia
I’m pretty happy with the e-books I got this month. I also tried not to go crazy this month either, so I tried to limit myself a lot. I opted to get Halloween Season as an e-book instead of physical book because it was only $4.99. I was able to get The Boy Between and Spellbreaker free with my Amazon Prime membership. The other three are books that I wanted so bad and they finally were on sale, so I had to get them! Can’t beat $2.99 or less!
What new books did you get in October? Have you read any of the ones that I got? Feel free to link me to your haul post, so I can check it out!
As I mentioned above, I should have my book wrap up coming tomorrow or Monday. I am hoping to maybe finish one more book or one more audiobook before October ends. We’ll see though since I only JUST started my current read and currently haven’t even started any new audiobooks yet, lol. Wishful thinking, I guess. I’ll also be doing some blog hopping between today and tomorrow. π
In case you missed it;
Book Haul|| September
I hope you have a great day!
Love your book room! I could curl up in there and read all day.
Thank you! π I spend so much time in here now.
I love your book room so much! That’s the floor I want for our house.
Thank you! π I love this flooring so much. We did all the bedrooms in our house with this flooring and it’s so great.
Wow! That is such a cool book room! I only have 1.5 bookcases. I got my first Funko Pop recently, too. It was a gift. It wasn’t book related, though. It’s Britney Spears in her “Slave for You” costume.
Thank you! π I used to only have two book cases, but then I got way too many books and needed more haha. I am about ready for another since my last one is almost full haha. That’s cool that you got your first Funko Pop! The Britney one sounds really cool. I have some book related ones, but mostly mine are TV/movie related Funko Pops.
I don’t really have another place to put them and more physical books would drive my husband nuts. LOL
Your book room is AMAZING!!!!
Thank you! π
Ahhh I love your book room! I don’t even have a bookcase and you have a few full of pretty books π
Great book haul too!
Thank you! π Such a bummer that you don’t have a bookcase though. Where do you keep your books?
