releaseday

Hey!

I wanted to do this post to share with you three ARCs that I was sent from publishers or received on Netgalley that are being published in September. I haven’t had the chance to read them (yet), but hopefully I will get to them this month. I want to highlight them on my blog now as well as later when I get my reviews up. These books below will be linked to Goodreads in case you want to add them to your TBR and I will share their book descriptions and their release date below as well.

surrenderyoursons

Surrender Your Sons by Adam Sass
Release Date: September 15th, 2020

Goodreads Description: Connor Major’s summer break is turning into a nightmare. His SAT scores bombed, the old man he delivers meals to died, and when he came out to his religious zealot mother, she had him kidnapped and shipped off to a secluded island. His final destination: Nightlight Ministries, a conversion therapy camp that will be his new home until he “changes.” But Connor’s troubles are only beginning. At Nightlight, everyone has something to hide from the campers to the “converted” staff and cagey camp director, and it quickly becomes clear that no one is safe. Connor plans to escape and bring the other kidnapped teens with him. But first, he’s exposing the camp’s horrible truths for what they are— and taking this place down.

noneshallsleep

None Shall Sleep by Ellie Marney
Release Date: September 1st, 2020 – OUT NOW!

Goodreads Description: In 1982, two teenagers—serial killer survivor Emma Lewis and US Marshal candidate Travis Bell—are recruited by the FBI to interview convicted juvenile killers and provide insight and advice on cold cases. From the start, Emma and Travis develop a quick friendship, gaining information from juvenile murderers that even the FBI can’t crack. But when the team is called in to give advice on an active case—a serial killer who exclusively hunts teenagers—things begin to unravel. Working against the clock, they must turn to one of the country’s most notorious incarcerated murderers for help: teenage sociopath Simon Gutmunsson. Despite Travis’s objections, Emma becomes the conduit between Simon and the FBI team. But while Simon seems to be giving them the information they need to save lives, he’s an expert manipulator playing a very long game…and he has his sights set on Emma.

**This next book is the third book in a series, so I am not going to put the book description below. Instead I am going to share the book description of the first book in the series. I don’t want to spoil it for you and I also don’t want to spoil it for myself as I still need to read the second book (hopefully this month), so that I can read this one.**

whenvillansrise

When Villains Rise by Rebecca Schaeffer
Release Date: September 8th, 2020 – OUT TODAY!

Goodreads description of the first book in the series called Not Even Bones: Nita doesn’t murder supernatural beings and sell their body parts on the internet—her mother does that. Nita just dissects the bodies after they’ve been “acquired.” But when her mom brings home a live specimen, Nita decides she wants out — dissecting living people is a step too far. But when she tries to save her mother’s victim, she ends up sold on the black market in his place — because Nita herself is a supernatural being. Now Nita is on the other side of the bars, and there is no line she won’t cross to escape and make sure no one can ever capture her again. Nita did a good deed, and it cost her everything. Now she’s going to do a lot of bad deeds to get it all back.

Any other September releases that I should add to my TBR?

I’m not a fan of this new WordPress editor at all. It’s going to make wanting to post so annoying. I luckily already had this post drafted over a week ago. I am actually really annoyed by it, UGH. I can’t figure out how to align my paragraphs with “justify” like I do with all my posts, because the keys are different on a MacBook and the “shortcuts” don’t work. UGHH. The fact that this post won’t be aligned with justify is actually making me so anxious right now, because I like all my sentences to be straight and aligned perfectly with each other. :/ EDIT: I finally figured out how to justify, but I still REALLY, REALLY hate this new “block” situation with the new editor.

Anyway, I’m going to spend today catching up with your posts from the week and replying to comments, and then I think I’ll put my Halloween decorations up around the house.

In case you missed it;
Wrap Up|| August.
Book Haul|| August.

I hope you have a great day!

  1. None Shall Sleep sounds so good! I had to add that one to my TBR. I have an unhealthy obsession with books that deal with serial killers even though I’m a big baby and they scare me. Lol!
    I just joined WordPress so I’m not sure how it looked compared to the new, and I’m sorry you’re having issues with it! Hopefully you can figure it out. 🙂 All looks well on my end!
    Have a great day.
