Book Haul|| May.

bookhaulyellow

Hey!

Happy Friday! Today I have my May book haul to share with you. I am pretty happy with my haul this month, because it’s full of books that I have been dying to read. I’m going to just jump right into my book haul. Here are the books that I got this month. You can check out a full list of the books that I own over here. There’s links to different pages on my blog that show my e-books and my physical books. *I am hoping to finally update these pages next month.*

Books I Bought:

A164DA8E-B5B0-4E9F-9418-1707A81D5E2A

Clap When You Land by Elizabeth Acevedo
The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins

I love Elizabeth Acevedo’s books, so I had to get a copy of Clap When You Land. I really want to buy all of her other books since I usually listened to the audiobooks from the library for previous ones. I didn’t own a hardcover copy of The Hunger Games, so I decided to get that one since it’s the only one I was missing in hardcover and The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes was just released this month. I wanted my collection to be complete, lol. The Hunger Games series is what got me into reading fiction/YA. Before I read The Hunger Games series, I pretty much only read non-fiction books.

Books from Publishers:

Dear Universe by Florence Gonsalves

The Novl sent me a copy of Dear Universe and I am really excited to read it. It sounds good and I love that book cover. Hopefully, I will pick it up soon and get my review posted on my blog.

Netgalley:

When Villains Rise by Rebecca Schaeffer

I was approved on Netgalley for When Villains Rise and I was so stoked. I read the first book Not Even Bones a couple years ago and loved it so much. I finally got a copy of the sequel this year and I plan to reread the first book, the sequel, and book three soon. I can’t wait to relive the first book and dive into the rest of the series.

E-Books:

catfishingoncatnetfulldisclosurethecheerleaderseveryotherweekenddarius

Catfishing on Catnet by Naomi Kritzer
Full Disclosure by Camryn Garrett
The Cheerleaders by Kara Thomas
Every Other Weekend by Abigail Johnson
Darius the Great Is Not Okay by Adib Khorram

I was so happy to see these books on sale, because I’ve been wanting to read them for a while now. I actually already read Catfishing on Catnet and really liked it. I can’t wait for the sequel next year.

What new books did you get in May? Have you read any of the ones that I got? Feel free to link me to your haul post, so I can check it out!

I know I haven’t been blogging as much as I used to, but I am hoping all of that will change soon. I even got a new laptop and maybe that will motivate me to want to blog even more too! The one I currently use is starting to crap out on me and the screen is so small. I am really excited that I was fortunate enough to get a new laptop. Maybe it’ll jump start me wanting to blog even more again. It’ll be nice having a computer that actually works correctly for once, haha. I plan to catch up with your posts and reply to comments as soon as my new laptop gets delivered this weekend. 🙂

By the way, thanks so much for always sticking by me even if my blogging schedule and blog hopping has been so weird this year. It hasn’t been the best year for me, but hopefully that’ll change. I’m trying to be optimistic here, because I’m tired of being so down on myself. Anyway, this weekend or Monday I’ll have my May wrap up posted, so be on the look out for that. 🙂

  1. I just finished my first of Elizabeth Acevedo’s books: With The Fire On High! Since I enjoyed it so much, I feel inspired to pick up The Poet X and maybe even Clap When You Land. She is such an amazing author, with great messages too! I bought The Ballad Songbirds and Snakes and it’s on my TBR for June. Can’t wait to get stuck in 🙂

  2. Great haul! Can’t wait to see what you think about The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. I haven’t bought that one yet but I loved The Hunger Games so it’s on my radar.

    • Agreed! I originally planned to read Clap When You Land this month, but since I had to come with my mom to my aunt’s house, I didn’t bring it with me. 😦 I just have my e-books with me right now, haha. I am happy to hear that you adored Darius! I can’t wait to read it ❤ We like a lot of similar books, so I bet I will really like it. Thank you, Marie. That means a lot! I'm always here to support you too. ❤
