Introducing: Andy Reads.

Hey!

I thought it would be fun to let my husband guest post on my blog once a month. So I am introducing a new monthly segment on my blog called “Andy Reads”. It will be my husband reviewing a book that he has read throughout the month. Something to know about Andy, he’s not really a reader. From what I can remember, the entire time him and I have been together (November 2020 will make 13 years!) he’s only ever read five books. Those books were the Hunger Games series and the first two books in the Divergent series.

I thought it would fun to get him to read more books and I also wanted to introduce new content to my blog this year. I created a page (over here) to document all the reviews that he does throughout the year and if all goes well, I will continue to add books/reviews from him for years to come! All reviews he writes will be linked over on that page to keep better organization of it and to not mix it up with my own yearly books/reviews.

I’m not sure which book he is going to read this month, but he has mentioned maybe The Man in the High Castle or The Sword of Shannara. I looked up the Sword of Shannara on Goodreads and it mentioned being 700+ pages though, so I don’t think he’ll be able to do it. I’ll mostly let him choose the books that he wants to read, but I will also try to include some of my favorites that I think he should read as well. His reviews will be coming toward the end of each month. I really hope this turns out to be amazing. I’m actually super stoked about it and he says it’ll be fun. So we’ll see how it goes! 😛

Off topic, I went to a painting class with my friend yesterday and the picture they had us paint was Baby Yoda (The Child), which is why we really wanted to go to it. It was so much fun. I wish I would have taken a picture of hers as well as mine, because hers turned out so different since she chose to go darker on the colors. Here is mine and then a group photo of everyone that was in the class and their paintings. It’s cool how everyone’s turned out so different.

  1. That’s such a fun idea! My hubby doesn’t really read either, and I don’t think I would be able to convince mine to do guestposts on my blog haha. Looking forward to see what Andy will pick! And that baby Yoda picture is adorable. xx

    • It would be nice if our hubbys loved reading like we do, haha. He’s currently reading Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover, haha. So hopefully he’ll stop slacking with it and have the review by the end of the month. I have to keep reminding him to read a few chapters each day. Thanks, it was so fun doing the baby Yoda painting.

      • Haha I tried but he just isn’t interested unless it’s non fiction about war or sports or something similar… xD I don’t mind too much though as we still have Netflix to watch together. 😉 Tell him to hurry up so we can read his review! It will be interesting to see how he reacts to Maybe Someday. 🙂 xx
