Hey!

I was tagged by Alexandra from Whimsy Pages to do the Christmas book blogger tag. I love Christmas and knew I had to do this tag too. Continuing reading to see questions and my answers. πŸ™‚

❄ What Is Your Favorite Christmas Scene In A Book?

I haven’t really read many Christmassy books, so I am going to go with Christmas at Hogwarts as my favorite Christmas scene in a book.

❄ Do You Have Any Christmas Book Traditions?

homealone2homealone2

I don’t really have any Christmas book traditions. Maybe I’ll start a new one? I did read Home Alone 2: Lost in New York children’s book this month, so maybe I’ll make it a point to read it every single year before I watch the movie. It’s one of my favorite movies.

❄ Do You Prefer To Get Presents Of Book Vouchers Or Books?

Honestly, it doesn’t really matter. They both result in new books, so it’s a win either way haha. It’s rare that anyone buys me books for Christmas, which is sad! I want all the books!

❄ Do You Give Books As Presents?

I don’t give books as presents often. I have a few times, but that’s pretty rare too. My family isn’t that big into reading. I did buy three books for my younger sister this year though. She actually requested them, which was a first.

❄ What Bookish Item Is On Your Christmas Wishlist?

I am in real need forΒ  a new Kindle, because mine doesn’t hold a charge for very long anymore and I’ve had it for four years now. So I have a white Kindle with a back light (mine doesn’t have one) on my Christmas wishlist. I already exchanged gifts with my family and sadly didn’t get it. Always next year! πŸ˜›

❄ What 3 Books Would You Love Santa To Have In His Sack For You?

princecharmingOnEarthWereBrieflyGorgeousdragonpearl

I would love from Santa to bring me Prince Charming (Rachel Hawkins), On Earth We’re Briefly Gorgeous (Ocean Vuong), and Dragon Pearl (Yoon Ha Lee).

❄ Fake Christmas Tree Or Real Christmas Tree?

I’ve always wanted a real tree, but we always end up getting a fake tree. They are so much easier and in the long run, cheaper because you get to use the same one every year instead of spending money to get a real one each year.

❄ What’s Your Favorite Thing About Christmas?

My favorite thing about Christmas is buying gifts for my family and friends, because I love picking things out for them and seeing their faces when they open their gifts.

❄ What Christmas Book Would You Recommend?

dashandlilysbookofdarestwelvedaysofdashandlily

I haven’t really read many Christmas books, so this is a tough one. I really liked Dash & Lily’s Book of Dares and the sequel as well. They were fun Christmas books.

❄ What Dish On Your Christmas Menu Are You Most Looking Forward To?

I have no idea, haha. All of it? πŸ˜› I really liked deviled eggs too, so I guess I am looking forward to those every year.

❄ When Do You Open Your Christmas Presents?

We usually open them on Christmas morning (December 25th). This year we are spending Christmas with the husband’s family, which is exciting.

❄ What’s Your Favorite Christmas Song?

hanson

I love all the Christmas songs, haha. One of my favorites would have to be from the Hanson Christmas album Snowed In, lol. The song is called Merry Christmas Baby.

❄ Are You Dreaming Of A White Christmas?

I am forever dreaming of a white Christmas, but this is Florida and it doesn’t snow here. So I guess I will just keep dreaming.

I tag anyone that wants to do this! I would love to see your answers, so feel free to link me to your posts so I can check them out.Β πŸ™‚ And I will leave you with a picture I took this weekend. My family and I went to this Christmas event in Celebration (town in Florida). It was fun seeing all the decorations and watching some bands play Christmas songs.

In case you missed it;
Friday Finds #84.

I hope you have a great day!

  1. Unless I provide a specific list, I end up with gift cards for Christmas instead of books as well. Probably best because people can go so very wrong shopping for a book for me. I bough Dragon Pearl for my niece for Christmas and the cover is so stunning in person. I wanted to keep it, haha.

  2. I don’t have a lot of Christmas traditions, but I always love watching the first two Home Alone movies as well! I totally didn’t know there were Home Alone books though. xD

    • I haven’t watched the first Home Alone movie in such a long time, because I just love the second one so much. But I do like that one too. I think the children’s books came after the movies and more of a recent thing. The Home Alone 2 one came out in 2019 and I believe there is one for the first book too.

  3. Ashley!! Oh how I miss reading your posts. Okay yes, Home Alone is my husband’s favorite too! Such a classic. Loved reading your answers to these questions!! Thanks for sharing ❀ Hope you have a wonderful Christmas!

  4. Yay! I’m so glad you managed to squeeze this post before Christmas!

Ooh, yes! No Christmas passes without Home Alone on TV πŸ˜€ (and also Lord of the Rings, and lately Harry Potter). Lol

Noone gives me books as presents either, even though I always say how much I’d love a book or a voucher! What’s wrong with people??? πŸ˜€

And I love that you open gifts on Christmas Morning. We open after midnignt and I don’t really love that. I want the next morning to feel magical like it did when I was little. Maybe when I will have a little family of my own, I can make them open gifts in the morning πŸ˜€

    • I love the Lord of the Rings movies so much. It’s been so long since I’ve watched them. I think I need to make a LOTR movie marathon at some point this year, haha. Sometimes my family goes back and forth. Some years they’ll open at midnight and others we open the next morning. We spent Christmas this year with the hubby’s family and they open Christmas morning after having breakfast. True, you can always open Christmas gifts on Christmas morning once you have your own little family. πŸ™‚ It can be your new family tradition.
