Book Haul|| August.

bookhaulyellow

Hey!

Somehow I ended up buying a lot of books this month, which has been a little strange for me this year. I’ve been trying to be very careful with how much money I spend on books and how many books I buy over the last couple years. I think it’s been steady at maybe 1-3 books that I buy a month this year, but somehow I ended up with EIGHT books this month! Deals…I can’t pass up good deals on books. You can check out a full list of the books that I own over here. There’s links to different pages on my blog that show my e-books and my physical books. I finally updated all lists earlier this month, but these below won’t be included until the next update. All book titles below are linked to Goodreads.

Books I Bought:

Patron Saints of Nothing by Randy Ribay
Hot Dog Girl by Jennifer Dugan
Thunderhead by Neal Shusterman

I’ve been wanting  Patron Saints of Nothing and Hot Dog Girl for awhile now and seen them super cheap on Amazon this month, so I decided to get copies of those. I needed Thunderhead, because I read Scythe this month and wanted the sequel ASAP! I can’t wait to read it. Hopefully I’ll be picking it up soon.

Radio Silence by Alice Oseman
Pumpkinheads by Rainbow Rowell
Spin the Dawn by Elizabeth Lim

I want to own all of Alice Oseman’s books, so I got Radio Silence this month. I think I am only missing one book of hers that I’ll eventually get. I told myself not until I read Solitaire and Radio Silence first, lol. I’ve liked most of Rainbow’s books that I’ve read, so I had Pumpkinheads on pre-order and I’m looking forward to reading it. It will be a good addition to my Halloweenie TBR in October too. I read an ARC on Netgalley of Spin the Dawn and liked it so much. I seen it was only $8 on Amazon, so I decided to get a copy and now I can go pre-order that sequel! 😛

A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J Maas
Once Upon a River by Diane Setterfield

I got A Court of Wings and Ruin solely because it was only $1.99 at this outlet store I went to. I really didn’t like the sequel in the series (I think I gave it two stars, I’m still angry about it) so I have no idea if/when I’ll pick it up but for some reason I didn’t want to pass up $1.99. I love wasting money, clearly. *rolling eyes at myself* I also got Once Upon A River at that same outlet store for $3.99 and I’ve been wanting to read it, so at least that was a win.

  1. Last month was where I went crazy so this month I only bought two ebooks and two e-reader cases. Last month I learned that Nook books can’t be converted again so I bought the latest ones on my Kobo also and I bought a hardback version of one I wanted to own… publishers loved me last month probably! My spending is going way down now. Trying to check out books from Overdrive more.

  2. I always buy ebooks because I don’t really like physical books (feel like the only bookworm ever here haha) so Amazon deals are the way to go for me! This month so many were on sale for 999p (!!) so I also got Radio Silence, Ace of Shades, Save The Date, Second Chance Summer, Crazy Rich Asians, Finale & Amy and Roger’s Epic Detour. You can tell I love my summer contemporaries haha

    • I love Amazon e-book deals. It’s so hard to pass them up. I like to read books more on my Kindle than physical books, to be honest. But I do like owning physical copies too haha. Sounds like you got a lot of great books! Quite a few of them I want to read too, like Ace of Shades and the Morgan Matson books.

  3. Oooh we’ve recently bought/acquired quite a few of the same books! I got Scythe, Patron Saints of Nothing and Radio Silence at YALC at the end of July all of which I’m really looking forward to reading (although when is an entirely different question xD)
