Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Artsy Reader Girl.

Most Anticipated Releases of the Second Half of 2019.

Hey!

I can’t believe it’s been almost a year since the last Top Ten Tuesday post I’ve done! I really need to get back into doing them, because they are a lot of fun. This week’s topic is about my most anticipated book releases for the second half of this year. There are SO many amazing sound books coming out this year that I haven’t gotten yet and that have still not been released! So many books, so little time…and money. 😛 Here are the books that I am really looking forward to in the second half of the year. The majority of these are ones that I actually have on preorder.

Regretting You by Colleen Hoover
The Lady Rogue by Jenn Bennett
Gods of Jade and Shadow by Silvia Moreno-Garcia
Technically, You Started It by Lana Wood Johnson

What books are you looking forward to in the second half of the year? Do we have any similar ones? Feel free to link me to your post, so I can check it out!

Still battling this reading & blogging slump, but hopefully I’ll get out of it soon! I’m crossing my fingers, because only reading 2.5 books this entire month so far is unacceptable, haha. I also think I only wrote a few blog posts throughout the month too. Sad day. I’ll catch up with all of your posts and comments in the next day or two. 😀

In case you missed it;

  1. Ah this is such a good list, Ashley and I’m so happy to see Permanent Record on here, I am so, so soooo very impatient to read this book 😀 Also very curious about The Lady Rogue. I hope we’ll enjoy these and… before then that you will get out of your slump! Sending you love ❤

  2. UHM, you’ve got fantastic taste because all of these are total musts and I’m beyond the point of anticipation I think. Phew. I’m so excited. DEFINITELY for Queen of Nothing, Permanent Record and Ninth House above all else but still NEED ALL OF THESE TITLES IMMEDIATELY.

    • Technically, You Started It sounds so good! I’ve seen it on quite a few lists too. Thanks. I hope it ends soon too. Or maybe I need to just do an official hiatus so I don’t feel so guilty about it, which the guilt of not reading/blogging is kind of digging me further into the slumps. I hope you enjoy your upcoming hiatus.

  3. We are def still in the same boat with reading & blogging I see *Hugs* it’ll come back to us eventually haha! I surprised myself with posting twice this week so far lol. I almost put Queen of Nothing on my list even though I haven’t read The Wicked King yet (cause I don’t do well with cliff hangers) but Bookworm guilt seeped in haha! I hadn’t heard of The Lady Rogue though, added to my TBR! Great list Ashley! ❤ ❤ ❤

    • I hope we both get out of these slumps ASAP! I didn’t like The Wicked King that much. It was only 3 stars for me, which is sad because I gave The Cruel Prince 5 stars. UGHH. But the cliffhanger is a pretty crazy one, so I definitely want that third book. I think The Lady Rogue will be interesting since Jenn Bennett usually writes contemporaries.

  4. A year??? Crazy! Welcome back to TTT then! 🙂 I only started doing them this April and some of them definitely require a lot of work, but I’m always looking forward to Tuesdays now.

Ninth House sounds very interesting, although I haven’t read any of Leigh Bardugo books before, even though I own a few of them… So I think I’ll read the ones I have first and then if I like the writing style, I’ll try the Ninth House.

Also, I have the ARC of the Hive! Very excited to read it (hopefully as soon as possible!)

    • Sometimes that topics for the week are so hard, so I don’t do them. And eventually it just turned into a year of not doing them. LOL. Hopefully I’ll get back into them now. That’s awesome that you just started doing them. 😀

I’ve loved the Leigh Bardugo books that I’ve read, so I am really excited about Ninth House. It sounds so good and I can’t wait to have it. I hope you enjoy her books when you get around to reading them.

That’s awesome that you have an ARC of the Hive. I can’t wait to see what you think about it! I love Barry Lyga, so I usually always preorder his books.

  5. Great picks! I can’t believe how many books are coming out in the second half of the year! A huge yes to Colleen Hoover, Jen Bennett, Leigh Bardugo and Holly Black… I also can’t wait for the new Schwab to come out. ❤

    • I am really excited about all the new books coming out in the second half of the year, although my bank account is not as excited as I am lol! I need to read more of Schwab’s books. I was underwhelmed with A Darker Shade of Magic, so I’ve been hesitant about picking up the rest of the series or her others books.

      • Haha I know the feeling! And even if you didn’t enjoy ADSOM her other books are still worth trying as each series is so different… City Of Ghosts is a great start; a MG story set in Edinburgh and it’s basically a ghost story with a twist. 🙂
