Hey!
I am making some pretty good progress with my reading so far this month, which is pretty exciting. I really hope it continues! I have quite a few ARCs that I need/want to read this month, so I am trying to read those right away. I am also trying so hard to stay away from the library this month, so that I can read the books that I already have and catch up on ARCs. Here are the books that I’ve been reading and hope to read next.
Currently Reading:
Somewhere Only We Know by Maurene Goo
The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkin Reid
I am currently reading my ARC of Somewhere Only We Know and so far I am really enjoying it. It’s been a lot of fun so far. It was released yesterday (May 7th), so I am hoping I can finish it soon and get my review posted. I am also listening to the audiobook of The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. I really like the audiobook and the way the story is being told, but the story itself is not blowing me away. I’m finding myself a little bored a times. It’s not as good as Daisy Jones & the Six was, that’s for sure. I am hoping to finish the audiobook at some point today. Maybe this last little bit will be really great. I think I only have about three hours left on the audiobook.
Recently Finished:
Shout by Laurie Halse Anderson
Happy Messy Scary Love by Leah Konen
Shout was such a great book. I loved the poetry and I loved reading about Laure Halse’s life and the way that she told it. It’s a really emotional and deals with so many tough situations. Happy Messy Scary Love was such an amazing book. I loved it so much and flew through it in a day. It was so hard to put down. I had so much fun reading it. I’ll link my review at the end of this post if you want to check it out.
Reading Next:
We Contain Multitudes by Sarah Henstra
Next up I plan to read We Contain Multitudes. I have been really looking forward to this one and I was so stoked when I received an ARC in the mail from the publisher. It releases next week, so I want to read this one ASAP and get my review up. I may or may not listen to an audiobook at some point as well, but haven’t found one yet.
What are you currently reading? Recently finished? Reading next? Have you read any of these books? Feel free to link me to your posts, so I can check them out!

I loved Evelyn. I should try the audio version.
If you loved Evelyn, I think you would really love listening to the audiobook. It was done so well.
Ooh, I hope you end up really enjoying Somewhere Only we know! I’m so excited to get my hands on it soon! The premise of the story sounds like such fun, and I can’t wait to see if it lives up to my expectations! Happy reading, love! ❤
I’m almost halfway through Somewhere Only We Know and so far I am really enjoying it a lot. I hope you get to read it soon. So far it has been a lot of fun! ❤
All of your books are new to me but Happy Messy Scary Love sounds right up my alley right now. Happy Reading!

Hope you found some to add to your TBR! Happy Messy Scary Love was such a great book.
AHHH Evelyn Hugo! I’m currently reading that one as well 🙂 I’m so sorry you’re not loving it as much as you thought you would, hope it will end on a good note for you though 🙂
Happy reading ❤
I hope you’re enjoying Evelyn Hugo! I ended up giving it three stars. I liked it, but it didn’t really blow me away like I hoped it would. I think my expectations were so high because everyone talked about how amazing it was and then I read Daisy Jones (which was so amazing) and it just didn’t compare to how great Daisy was.
Oh well… I loved Evelyn Hugo so much, I think I NEED to read Daisy Jones if you liked it even better then 😀
Evelyn is not as good as Daisy, but I still liked it. I hope you do as well!
I ended up giving Evelyn Hugo three stars and I did still like it. I just thought Daisy Jones was so much better.
I agree – Evelyn was not as engaging and interesting as Daisy was. It was a good book but I think Daisy blows it outta the park!
Agreed! Daisy Jones definitely blew it out of the water Evelyn Hugo was still good, but Daisy Jones was so much better.
I hope Evelyn Hugo will improve for you! Have a wonderful week and happy reading.
I ended up giving Evelyn Hugo three stars. I still liked it, but not as much as I hoped I would. Still a good story though.
Oh that’s a shame! I’m glad you still mostly enjoyed it though. 🙂
We Contain Multitudes looks really interesting. I’ll have to check and see if my library has it.
Shame that The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo is a bit of a disappointment for you. I thought it looked interesting, but had some reservations about reading it, too. We Contain Multitudes sounds like a great book. Lucky you, getting an ARC of it. 😀 Hope it’s as good as it sounds!
Here’s my WWW post.
I think my expectations for Evelyn Hugo was set really high, because so many people talked about how amazing it was and her other book Daisy Jones & the Six was so amazing. It was still a good book and I liked it, but not as much as I hoped I would. I am so excited that I was able to get an ARC of We Contain Multitudes. It sounds so great and I can’t wait to read it. 😀
I think that tends to happen a lot to me with really hyped books, too, regardless of where the hype is coming from. I’m always more hesitant to pick up those books now, because I feel like I go in with such high expectations that I’m just naturally going to be let down.
Loved this WWW! Such a fun prompt for a post.
What are you currently reading? Little Fires Everywhere (yes, still hahah)
Recently finished? Wellll what qualifies as “recent” lol!
Reading next? Still deciding! I think Woman in Cabin 10 ! I need a thriller in my life. hah!
I’ll have to look up these books! A good thriller would be really nice right now, haha. I think next month I may try to pick up a couple of them.
