Hey!
Not going to lie, I am kind of getting stir crazy being home pretty much 24/7 now that I work from home. I feel like I never leave the house and if you know me, I am a person that actually loves being at home so this is new. I still have boxes to unpack, but I’ve been kind of just ignoring them and reading or watching TV instead. Here is what I’ve been reading the last week and a half and what I hope to read soon.
Currently Reading:
Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid
I am currently reading Daisy Jones & The Six and I am really enjoying it. I definitely really like this one. I am 60% into it and I should have it finished today. It’s so addicting to read. It’s honestly so hard to stop and I curse work and adult responsibilities because I just want to read it all day. I love how it reads like a documentary. It goes back and forth between the different people involved in Daisy Jones & The Six band telling their story of past events and their stardom. It’s so rock ‘n’ roll and I am living for it.
Recently Finished:
You Asked for Perfect by Laura Silverman
The Test by Sylvain Neuvel
I recently finished You Asked for Perfect and The Test. I liked You Asked for Perfect, but it didn’t blow me away like I had hoped it would. It was still a good read and I actually flew through it. It was really easy to read and the characters were really likable. I didn’t relate to it too much and I think that’s why it didn’t blow me away. I can see why so many people really love it though and I would definitely recommend checking it out. The Test….HOLY CRAP! This book was insane! It was intense! And I honestly can’t even put my thoughts into words. I loved it so much and gave it five stars!! I still think about it. It’s a pretty short story, but it’s so damn good that you don’t even notice how short it is. You’re sucked right into it from the start, it’s crazy.
Reading Next:
Summer of ’69 by Todd Strasser (Netgalley)
The Beauty of the Moment by Tanaz Bhathena (Physical ARC)
Heroine by Mindy McGinnis
I said March would be a month full of ARCs and it hasn’t really worked out that way….YET! I am really hoping to at least get The Beauty of the Moment and Summer of ’69 read this month. Heroine is one of my most anticipated book releases of the year and it finally released yesterday, so I may have to read that one next or really soon. So it’s looking like one of these will be my next read.
What are you currently reading? Recently finished? Reading next? Have you read any of these books? Feel free to link me to your posts, so I can check them out!

I hope you enjoy it! I currently have the audiobook on hold at my library, because I really want to read it again in audiobook version haha. I bet it’ll be a pretty epic as an audiobook as well.
I love working from home. But I can understand the stir craziness. I usually go for a run and clean or do laundry to break up my day. 🙂
I’m so glad you’re liking Daisy Jones!! I LOVED that book!!
Working from home is pretty nice, but I definitely need to figure out some things to do when I start to feel a little stir crazy. Daisy Jones is so good! I plan to read it again once I get the audiobook checked out to me, haha.

You’re making me impatient to get to Daisy Jones & the Six! I m waiting for the audiobook from the library. I hope it continues to be good.
I have the audiobook on hold too, because I really want to listen to it as well. Haha. I think it’ll be really cool as an audiobook too. So I definitely plan to read it again by listening to it as soon as my library checks it out to me!
You are such a fast reader! Great job! I work from home too and sometimes I realize I haven’t gone outside for like a week lol. O.O
Thanks! I’m in this new city and I want to explore every piece of it, but lately I’ve only been able to be stuck inside. UGH. Hopefully soon though, haha. It’s not too bad working from home though.
Have you worked from home before now? When I first started, I used to get lonely and it was a bit discouraging. That phase passed though, and now I love it! But I do have to be proactive about getting out lol.
I have before but only like a day or two a week once in awhile, never every single day of the work week. So just going to take getting used to, haha. That’s good that you love it now!
Oh that makes sense! I’m sure you will adjust before long! 😊
I just finished reading Daisy Jones & the Six and it was so good! I keep wanting to put one of their songs on now lol.
That’s awesome that you just finished reading Daisy Jones & The Six! I should hopefully have it finished later today. It’s such a great story so far. I would love to be able to put on one of their songs, haha.
It’s good to hear you are enjoying Daisy Jones so far! It’s one of my most anticipated releases and I’m hoping to get to it as soon as I have less ARCs to get to. xD
I hope you can get to it really soon! I flew through it in just two days, so I bet if you started it you can too.
I might just do so next week as a birthday present to myself!
If ye don’t mind me asking . . . what type of job do ye do at home? If ye do mind just ignore. No worries.

I work for an e-commerce company. They sell furniture online.
I see. Thanks for answering. How does one find such a job? Was it because ye liked the furniture?

I’m not sure how to find one like this, because my aunt used to work for the company and then that’s how I was able to get the job.
Gotcha. I always wondered how because those jobs seem weird but necessary. Thanks for answering!

I’m so envious of how much you’ve been reading!
I’m currently reading Last of the Memory Keepers by Azelyn Klein. I haven’t finished a full book since December, which was Harry Potter. I’ve just not been in the mood much or haven’t had the time. Once I finish LMK, I’m hoping to read When the Curtain Falls by Carrie Hope Fletcher. It released last year, and I’ve been so impatient to read it!
I know what you mean about not wanting to be in the mood to read or having much time. That happens to me from time to time. I hope you get out of it soon and can start reading a ton of books again! I haven’t heard of those books, but I plan to head over to Goodreads and check them out! I hope you enjoy your current reads.
I wonder what you’ll think of Heroine! Drugs is a huge trigger for me so I am hesitant to begin this one.
I’ve read quite a bit of books that involve or center around drugs/drug use. I’m really into that topic for some reason. It can be very triggering to some people though. Not sure how this one will end up being like since it’s Young Adult, but we’ll see.
Girl, I feel you with the stir-craziness! I am there now with my school work too. Thanks for the reviews- always love hearing your thoughts & suggestions! Have a great weekend 🙂
Hopefully we can both get out of this stir crazy feeling ASAP! 🙂 Hope you had a great weekend!
You too, girl! ❤️
I’m glad you still enjoyed You Asked For Perfect, Ashley ❤ So happy you're enjoying Daisy Jones as well, I've heard a lot of great things about it! Happy reading! 🙂
Even though I didn’t absolutely love You Asked for Perfect, it was still good and I liked it! 🙂 Daisy Jones was such an amazing book. ❤
Ooooh, I hadn’t heard of the test before but now I really want to read it!! 🤗
I hope you get the chance to read The Test soon! It was short, but so great!
