Hey!
I haven’t done one of these posts since October of last year, YIKES! 😛 I figured I might as well get back into them, because it’s fun to share my reading progress throughout the month and to check out everyone else’s! Here are the books that I’ve been reading this week and ones that I hope to read really soon.
Currently Reading:
Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo
A Soldier and a Liar by Caitlin Lochner
Trying to stay on top of series this year by continuing them instead of putting them to the side after reading the first book, so I picked up Crooked Kingdom ASAP after reading Six of Crows. So far I really like it. I was sent an ARC of A Soldier and a Liar, so I am reading that one as well. It’s being released this month, so I want to get it read and reviewed ASAP. So far it’s pretty interesting. I’m only about 60 pages into it.
Recently Finished:
The Sun and Her Flowers by Rupi Kaur
I read Rupi’s book Milk and Honey last year, so I wanted to check out more of her work. I flew through the poems in The Sun and Her Flowers. They were good and I liked them. I really liked the illustrations that went along with some of the poems as well.
Reading Next:
Just for Clicks by Kara McDowell
The Beauty of the Moment by Tanaz Bhathena
These are both ARCs that are releasing this month, so I want to get them read and reviewed. I am really looking forward to the both of them. I don’t know exactly when I will get to them since I am really busy this month with other life things, but I will for sure be reading these two next as soon as I finish my two current reads.
What are you currently reading? Recently finished? Reading next? Have you read any of these books? Feel free to link me to your posts, so I can check them out!
I mentioned in my wrap up post how this month was going to be crazy busy with packing and moving, so I am pretty much just trying to fit in reading and blogging when I can. It’s going to be a little hectic this month, sigh. Hopefully things get back to normal in March though.
In case you missed it;
Wrap Up|| January.
Book Haul|| January.
I hope you have a great day!
I wish I liked to read poems more. I see that author’s books everywhere!
Her poems aren’t too bad. I’ve given her books three stars, because I like them. But honestly, the majority of them don’t blow me away. I don’t read a lot of poems though, so maybe that’s why.
Glad to hear you enjoyed Rupi Kaur. I have her works. I just haven’t read them yet and am looking forward to doing so soon. Good luck on your upcoming ARCs! Here is what I’m reading: https://greatmorrisonmigration.wordpress.com/2019/02/06/www-wednesdays-february-6-2019/
Hopefully you get the chance to read more of Rupi Kaur’s books soon. Thanks!
I want to start the Six of Crows series soon. Hope you enjoy A Soldier and a Liar. My WWW.
Hopefully you can start Six of Crows soon!
Trying to keep on top of series sounds like a great plan. I’m happy you’re enjoying Crooked Kingdom. I loved that duology.
I’m so bad with staying on top of series. I have so many series that I haven’t finished yet. I’m trying to not do that so much this year, haha. So far I really like Crooked Kingdom.
Enjoy your books…I am curious about The Beauty of the Moment. Here’s MY WWW POST
Thanks!
I hope you’ll love Crooked Kingdom, I thought it was a great sequel for sure and it made me emotional towards the end, too haha 🙂
I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on Just For Clicks, I really enjoyed this book 🙂 Happy reading!! ❤
So far I really like Crooked Kingdom! I’m not a little over 200 pages into it. I’m excited to see what happens next. 🙂 Hopefully I will be starting Just for Clicks as soon as I get Crooked Kingdom finished. ❤
I’ll finally read Crooked Kingdom this month, hopefully, and I’m super excited!😄. I hope you have a great reading month💛✨
Oh awesome! I hope you enjoy Crooked Kingdom! I’m a little over 200 pages into it now and I really like so far. I hope you have a great reading month as well. ❤
Good to hear you are enjoying Crooked Kingdom so far! Have a wonderful week. xx
Thanks! 🙂 I’m glad I finally decided to read this series, especially because I seen that there is going to be a book three!
Wait, there is going to be a third book?!?!!!!! You totally blew me away with that information just now. xD I might just wait with King Of Scars until I know more…
Yes! There isn’t a whole lot of information that I have seen, but according to the page on Goodreads for the third book it just says “Leigh Bardugo confirmed that her longterm plan for the Grishaverse involves a third Six of Crows book “many years down the line”.”. So it’s probably save to read King of Scars since it says that it’s “many years down the line”.
safe* (not save, lol).
Ah yes I don’t think I can wait that long haha. xD
Welcome back! WWW Wednedays keep me organized. The Beauty of the Moment looks so good! I can’t wait to hear your thoughts. Here is my WWW: https://silverbuttonbooks.com/2019/02/06/www-wednesday-february-7-2019/
