Hey!
I thought it would be fun to do blog posts showing the books that I read throughout the year and what I rated them. This list is my two star reads. This is the last post of this little mini series, because I didn’t have any one star books in 2018. They are in the order that I read them, but I did group book series together. You can check out a list of all the books that I read in 2018 over here.
Before I Let Go by Marieke Nijkamp
Why We Broke Up by Daniel Handler
Florida by Lauren Groff
Sadie by Courtney Summers
People Kill People by Ellen Hopkins
The Hating Game by Sally Thorne
The Lost Sisters by Holly Black
I had so much high expectations for these books and I wanted to love them so much, but they ended up being just okay to me. I had way too many issues with them or I found them to be mostly boring. Linked below are my other star rating posts that I did throughout the month. It was a lot of fun looking back on all the books that I read last year. Looking forward to seeing what my lists will look like this year!
5 star reads of 2018.
4 star reads of 2018.
3 star reads of 2018.
I should have my wrap up and book haul posts coming soon and also a review for Comics Will Break Your Heart. I’m still in the process of writing that one. I really liked it a lot, but I also have no idea what I want to say. I hate when that happens! Sometimes I know what to say and others I’m just stumped, even if I enjoyed a book a lot, sigh. I’ll figure it out though. The book doesn’t release until middle of February, so I have time to get my review written.
In case you missed it, I have a giveaway happening on my blog for my four year blogiversary! You can win a book of your choice and it’s International! I’ll link it down below if you’re interested in checking it out and entering. I’ll be picking two winners this Friday! 🙂

I hope you have a great day!
I’m so sorry that you didn’t like Sadie! Have you written your review for that one yet?
I wish I would have liked it better. Everyone seemed to love it. I didn’t write a review for it. The reasons I didn’t like it though were I found a lot of it to be boring and I didn’t like the ending of the book, it felt unfinished. The big picture and themes in the book were sad, real, and important, but the story itself I felt was boring.
Yeah, I can see that. The ending definitely did leave things unfinished.
It saddens me to see The Hating Game on here, but I guess not everyone can love it.
I wanted to love The Hating Game. I was so sad when I didn’t.
I also read The Lost Sisters, and I didn’t give it 2 stars but I can see why you did, it was nothing spectacular. I did enjoy seeing the events of The Cruel Prince through Taryn’s eyes, to understand her better, but I didn’t make me like her better as a character, it was simply interesting to have more insight 🙂
Yeah, The Lost Sisters wasn’t really that spectacular. It was nice getting Taryn’s view for it, but I never liked her and this book definitely didn’t change my mind on that. More insight was nice though.

I’m sorry The Hating Game wasn’t for you! I’m actually surprised by how much I enjoyed it since it’s most definitely not my genre. I wasn’t blown away by Sadie either although I did enjoy it slightly better than you.
I usually like books like The Hating Game, so it sucked when I didn’t really like it that much. Sad that we weren’t blown away by Sadie like everyone else was.
