Hey!
The last two months I did really good with sticking to my monthly TBR created for each month (October & November), so I decided to go ahead and try one last time with a December TBR. There are so many books that I swore I would finally get to this year and sadly, I have not. I want to say I’ll try in December, but realistically that probably won’t happen because I have quite a few ARCs that I need to read. I created a reading challenge for next year to hopefully tackle those books that I swore I would finally read and didn’t. I’ll talk more about that and those books later at the end of the month or beginning of January.
As always, this may not end up being my final TBR or all the books that I end up reading. I have some books on hold at my library that I’ve been waiting FOREVER for, so if those get checked out to me then I will most likely read those first. Also, depends on my mood if I end up reading something else not listed. With that being said, here is my December TBR.
Physical Books:
The Next Person You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom (ARC)
The Lonely Dead by April Henry (ARC)
Famous in a Small Town by Emma Mills (ARC)
The Extinction Trials by S.M. Wilson (Buddy Read)
I have quite a few ARCs as you can see that I need to try to get to this month, so I can get my reviews up. The Next Person You Meet in Heaven was already released, but the others are January releases. I am also going to be buddy reading The Extinction Trials with Avery (Red Rocket Panda), which I am stoked for!
E-Books:
The Lost Sisters by Holly Black
The Wicked King by Holly Black (eARC)
The Hating Game by Sally Thorne (library)
What If It’s Us by Becky Albertalli/Adam Silver (library)
My New Crush Gave to Me by Shani Petroff
I am so stoked for The Wicked King. I am hoping to have time to reread The Cruel Prince before I read the sequel, but if not, it’s alright. There’s also a few other e-books that I own that I hope/want to read, but I’m not going to list them in case I don’t get to them. These are pretty much my top priority right now as some are library books and I may have a couple other library books that get checked out to me later this month. I am actually currently reading What If It’s Us now and it’s so good. I am really enjoying it a lot. It’s so hard to put down!
What’s on your December TBR? Have you read any of the ones on mine? Feel free to link me to your posts if you have one.
In case you missed it;

I hope you have a great day!
So excited for our buddy read! I’m also going to try and get round to What If It’s Us this month (especially as I need to return it to the library…)
I flew through What If It’s Us! It was so hard to put down and I loved it so much! I got the e-book from my library too and I didn’t have too much time left with it, but I managed to finish it in just a couple days. So good!
I’m so happy to hear you’re enjoying What If It’s Us – it is such a great book! 🙂
Happy reading, Ashley! ❤
I loved What If It’s Us! I don’t know how I feel about that ending though, lol. I want more! 🙂 ❤
I read the hating game In November and absolutely loved it. You got some awesome books on that TBR pile of yours
So happy to hear that you loved The Hating Game! I’m currently reading it right now and so far it’s pretty interesting.
It’s a fun quick book and I loved the snide comments that they said to each other. Have you read the kiss quotient? That’s also another good book but very much a NA.
I haven’t read The Kiss Quotient yet, but I’ve been dying to read it. I have the e-book on hold at my library right now, but the hold has been FOREVER. My physical copy is packed away right now which sucks!
I really enjoyed it and can’t wait for her next book “the bride test” which comes out in may. I hope you get to read it soon 😊
I loved The Hating Game! I really want to read Famous in a Small Town!!! Enjoy these!
I’m currently reading The Hating Game now and it’s pretty good. I am hoping to read Famous in a Small Town soon. Thanks!
There are so many great releases happening at the beginning of the year that makes me want to do a bunch of rereads (The Cruel Prince included). I hope that everything you pick up in December ends up being a great read for you.
I don’t reread very often, but I feel like I need to reread The Cruel Prince, so I can remember how much I loved it before starting the sequel haha. I’m hoping my library gets the audiobook checked out to me soon. If not, I’ll have to read without the reread UGHH. My physical copy is packed away right now. Thank you! 🙂
Excited to hear what you think! I haven’t read anything by Mitch Albom, but I have heard he is a phenomenal author!
Thanks! I love Mitch Albom’s books so much. He’s definitely one of my favorite authors. I highly recommend reading his books. 🙂
Happy to get to know of those wonderful books by Mitch Albom, hope to read them some day!
I hope you enjoy them when you get the chance to read his books!
Ooh, so many lovely books on this TBR! I’m looking forward to seeing your thoughts on the Holly Black books! I personally loved The Lost Sisters! ❤
I’m pretty happy with my TBR this month. I hope that I actually stick to it. I’m really excited to read the Holly Black books. I’m glad you loved The Lost Sisters. I can’t wait to read it. ❤
Great TBR! I was surprised by how much I enjoyed The Hating Game even though it’s not my genre… I hope you will enjoy these and have a wonderful month! xx
Thanks! 🙂 I’m glad you enjoyed The Hating Game! I’m currently reading it right now and so far I like it.
I haven´t read any book recently since we have Netflix and I get hook with it unfortunately. But I do love read a book while listening to the easy music:)
It’s so easy to get hooked on Netflix. Sometimes that happens to me too.

I hadn’t heard of THE EXTINCTION TRIALS, so I’m definitely going to add that to my TBR immediately! Also really excited for THE WICKED KING!
This month I’m reading WHITE STAG by Kara Barbieri and WICKED SAINTS by Emily Duncan (both ARCs!) And working on finishing up KINGS CAGE by Victoria Aveyard!
The Extinction Trials was a pretty good and fun read. I am currently reading The Wicked King now and so far I like it. I hope you were able to finish and enjoy the books that you planned to read this month.
