Popular Books that Lived Up to the Hype.

Hey!

I forever have bad luck with hyped books. I don’t usually love them and I don’t understand the hype surrounding a lot of them. I don’t know why I am like this, haha. I guess when I see a book getting so much hype, my expectations become WAY too high and I expect amazing and get none of those amazing feelings when I read them. There have been a few where the hype was real and I was here for it though!

FALLINGKINGDOMSserpentkingthecruelprincedarkestmindstheboneseason

Falling Kingdoms by Morgan Rhodes
The Serpent King by Jeff Zentner
The Cruel Prince by Holly Black
The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken
The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon

A little cheating for Falling Kingdoms, because not going to lie, the first book didn’t “WOW” me, but I am LIVING for the series and it’s one of my favorites of all-time now. With all the hype surrounding The Cruel Prince, I was sure I was going to hate it. I absolutely loved it so much and I can’t wait to get my hands on the sequel.

simonvsdarkmatterredqueeneverythingeverythingSHADOW

Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli
Dark Matter by Blake Crouch
Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard
Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon
Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo

Honestly, I have no idea why I am including Red Queen on this list. I guess because I loved the hell out of Red Queen, but the rest of the series sucked. The sequel was bad and I didn’t even get past a few chapters of the third book before I had to DNF it. But I did LOVE the first book so much, so I guess the hype was real for that one. The rest of the series, not so much.

What popular books did you read that lived up to the hype? Feel free to link me to your TTT posts, so I can check them out!

Wrap Up|| July.

wrapup

Hey!

I reached 1200 followers this month, which is so exciting! Thank you for following me and liking my posts. I definitely need to do another giveaway really soon. 🙂 July has been the month of ups and downs in my life outside of blogging. I’m not entirely happy with how things ended up, but such is life. I have to keep moving forward and accept what is and roll with it. Aside from personal life, I was able to read a decent amount of books compared to how busy and stressed I was, so that was cool.

You can find a full list of these books and the other books I read this year over here. All will be linked to Goodreads below and I will also link to individual blog posts if I did a review for them.

Physically Read Books:
These are the books that I read by myself (not audiobooks) throughout the month of July.

peterdarlingananatomyofaddictiontheboywho

Peter Darling by Austin Chant – 4 out of 5 stars.
Peter Darling is a LGBTQ Peter Pan retelling. I’ve been wanting to read it for awhile now and I was super stoked to finally read it. I thought it was great, a lot of fun to read, and pretty emotional at times too. I love Peter Pan and I love reading retellings.

An Anatomy of Addiction by Howard Markel – 4 out of 5 stars.
An Anatomy of Addiction is is about Sigmund Freud, William Halsted, and cocaine. It was a really interesting read. It talks about their lives and their discovery of cocaine, the uses of it in the medical world, which ultimately lead to addiction. It was such a good book.

The Boy Who Could See Demons by Carolyn Jess-Cooke – 4 out of 5 stars.
The Boy Who Could See Demons deals with mental health and it was really good. I really liked the story and it was hard to put down.

whywebrokeupmilkandhoneymarysmonstermydiarrhe

Why We Broke Up by Daniel Handler – 2 out of 5 stars.
I have been wanting to read Why We Broke Up for such a long time now and finally did. I was pretty disappointed with how bored I was. I also wasn’t a fan of the writing style and some of the conversations just didn’t make sense to me. I actually wanted to DNF the book, but I also wanted to know what happened to these people’s relationship so I kept reading. I guess it has that going for it, even with it not being that great, it still makes you want to continue reading.

Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur – 3 out of 5 stars.
I liked Milk and Honey. There were some really great poems and some pretty powerful ones too.

Mary’s Monster by Lita Judge – 4 out of 5 stars.
Mary’s Monster was great! It’s a story about the woman that wrote Frankenstein. This book is told in verse and it also has a lot of awesome illustrations throughout the entire book. I was sent an ARC for review and finally got around to reading it. I plan to do a full review soon.

My Diarrhe by Miranda Sings – 4 out of 5 stars
I am a really big fan of Miranda Sings on YouTube and her Netflix show Haters Back Off. I liked her first book and I really enjoyed her second book My Diarrhe. It was pretty hilarious.

Audiobooks:
These are the books that I listened to the audio versions throughout the month of July.

adarkershadeofmagicillbegoneinthedark

A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab – 3 out of 5 stars.
I wasn’t really that impressed with A Darker Shade of Magic. I liked it, but it didn’t blow me away. The first half of the book was pretty boring, to be honest. I did like the second half a little more though. I plan to give the series a second chance and listen to the audiobook for the sequel at some point this week.

I’ll Be Gone in the Dark by Michelle McNamara
I didn’t actually finish I’ll Be Gone in the Dark…yet. I’m not counting it as read, but I wanted to include it on my list. I started it, but it got returned to the library before I could finish it. I’m currently on hold at the library again, so hopefully I’ll get it soon and be able to finally finish the audiobook. I enjoyed the first half and I am looking forward to finishing the second.

Currently Reading Books:
These are the books that I started to read in the month of July, but didn’t get a chance to finish them yet.

theshadowmindsjournal

The Shadow Minds Journal by Kia Carrington-Russell

A goal I have for August is to try to read and review at least three ARCs. I have a ton of ARCs (check them out here) to read for the rest of the year and some I didn’t get the chance to read toward the beginning of the year that I still plan to read/review. I am currently halfway through the one that I am currently reading (The Shadow Minds Journal) and it’s pretty interesting so far.

What did you read in July? Have you read any of the books that I read? Feel free to link me to your wrap up posts, so I can check them out!

Book Haul|| July.

bookhaulyellow

Hey!

Posting a few days early, because I’ll be pretty busy the rest of July and not sure when I’ll get the time post my haul. Last month I didn’t buy any books (aside from e-books), but this month I didn’t have that same success and ended up getting some books, lol. No pictures of my own this month, because I had to pack up my books. Book covers from Goodreads below though. Here are the books that I got this month.

Books I Bought:

hocuspocusmydiarrheallyourperfects

Hocus Pocus & The All New Sequel by A.W. Jantha
My Diarrhe by Miranda Sings
All Your Perfects by Colleen Hoover

These are my three preorders that I’ve been waiting for. I had to get the Hocus Pocus book, because I am obsessed with the movie and this book has the original story and then a SEQUEL! It doesn’t have the best rating, but I hope I like it. I am also obsessed with Miranda Sings, so I had to get her new book. I actually read it already and I really enjoyed it. So funny. And then of course CoHo. I have to own and read everything Colleen Hoover writes. 😛 I am going to try really hard to get around to reading it in August.

Book of the Month Box:

ghostedkissquotientspinningsilver

Ghosted by Rosie Walsh
The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang
Spinning Silver by Naomi Novik

Book of the Month finally had books that I was actually interested in! So I signed up for July, so get these three books. I am super stoked for them all, especially Ghosted. That was the book I chose for my main book and then I had a free book credit and got The Kiss Quotient and I’ve been wanting a Rumpelstiltskin retelling so bad and was stoked that I seen Spinning Silver. I got that as an extra for $9.99.

Books from Publishers/Authors:

thenextperson

The Next Person You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom

I was so stoked when I woke up to an email from Goodreads saying I won a giveaway and even more stoked when I seen that it was the new Mitch Albom book! I’ve mentioned it many many times that he is one of my favorite authors. I am so excited to have an ARC of The Next Person You Meet in Heaven.

theshadowmindsjournalthreehares

The Shadow Minds Journal by Kia Carrington-Russell
The Three Hares by Geoffrey Simpson

I was sent these two e-books from the authors to read and review. I am currently reading The Shadow Minds Journal and it’s pretty interesting so far.

E-Books:

Warning: I went a little crazy with the e-books this month!

starfishuprootednyxialittlemonstersdevilswithin

Starfish by Akemi Dawn Bowman
Uprooted by Naomi Novik
Nyxia by Scott Reintgen
Little Monsters by Kara Thomas
Devils Within by S.F. Henson

theroadtojonestownathousandperfectnotesdreadnationpoppywarperfectfriend

The Road to Jonestown by Jeff Guinn
A Thousand Perfect Notes by C.G. Drews
Dread Nation by Justina Ireland
The Poppy War by R.F. Kuang
The Perfect Friend by Barbara Copperthwaite

I’ve been stoked for these ten books, so I couldn’t pass up all the e-book deals. I am a sucker for when e-books are on sale for almost nothing! I think the most expensive one was only $3.99. I’m most excited for Starfish, A Thousand Perfect Notes, and Little Monsters.

thekingstideakillersmindwhispermethis

The King Tides by James Swain
A Killer’s Mind by Mike Omer
Whisper Me This by Kerry Anne King

I got these three for free on Amazon Prime Day. They have first reads program where you can get a book early for free if you have Amazon Prime. Each month there are six choices and you can pick one of the six for free. For Prime Day they let you have all six for free this month. I only chose three of the six though and they all sound really good.

That’s all for my July book haul! 🙂 Have you read any of these books? What books did you get this month? Let me know and feel free to link me to your haul posts if you have one.

I wrote this in my last post, but figured I’d share it again: I created a page on my blog called arcs/review books. It’s going to be home to all of the books that I have been sent by publishers and authors to read each year. I am hoping that it’ll keep me on top of my reviews and books. I have been really busy this year though, so I fell a bit behind. I am still hoping to read them all this year and get my reviews posted.

Hey!

I haven’t updated since last Friday, ahhh. I’ve been meaning to, but have just been really busy and pretty stressed about things. My sister was in the hospital for a week and that ended up being such a disaster (hospital’s fault). She’s finally home though and recovering, so that’s good. We’ve also been busy packing, but another post on this another time.

These are some random hospital views from my sister’s hospital room and from another room in the hospital. Hospital food is gross, by the way. We had to eat dinner there once. I will say though, they had some pretty amazing french fries. The other food I got wasn’t the greatest.

Pictures of my niece (Grace) and my nephew (Jackson). I spent a lot of time keeping an eye on them while their mom was in the hospital. One night I cooked them dinner; grilled cheese, simple, right? WRONG. It’s not surprise that I don’t know how to cook, but apparently I can’t even cook a grilled cheese. By time I got to making the third and forth one, they were burning. I even burnt the pan so bad and burned the shape of the bread into the pan LMAO. The burn still won’t come out of the pan. Haha. They still tasted good though. That’s all the matters? 😛

We have a bird feeder (left) hanging over an empty pot that has some dirt in it. Well thanks to all the little birdies that eat from the feeder, we now have this random sunflower growing. It actually already bloomed, but I haven’t had the chance to take a picture yet. Pretty neat! It also looks like we might have some wheat growing in the pot too, lol!

Random things with the hubby. We went to Target to get some containers for my books and they put in a new Harry Potter section at the store. We were walking through the store and also seen a random Sorting Hat photo prop. I made him take a picture, lol. He’s taken the test on Pottermore a couple years ago and got sorted into Hufflepuff. We also got shaved ice from that new place that opened up near us. I talked about it in my last picture update. It’s so good!

Random pictures of Leaf and Dax. I don’t have any new pictures of October and Colby right now. Actually quite a surprise, because I am forever taking pictures of my furbabies, haha.

Shark Week started last Sunday, so it was fitting I wear my shark shirt. I LOVE sharks and I LOVE Shark Week. I’ve been so busy this week though and haven’t had the chance to watch all the new Shark Week shows. I am hoping I get some time soon, because I have A LOT of them. They usually do like 2-3 new shows a night and it’s for six nights I believe. So that’s a lot of shows I need to catch up on. I’ve recorded them all to my DVR though, so that’s good. And a random selfie.

img_0868

La luna y la estrella ♡ I got this really neat picture on my iPhone of the moon and a star right next to it! I thought it was really cool. I tried with my camera, but it just wasn’t working out for me, so I decided to just get this shot with my phone.

A new BBQ restaurant opened up down the street from our house. Like it’s literally at the end of our street. So my mom and I finally decided to check it out. Since it’s right down the street, we decided to walk there. On the way home I seen this bush with these little yellow flowers and thought it was really pretty. Yesterday after work I seen this spiked caterpillar on a plant as I was leaving.

A random sunset picture. I was also trying to mess around with the manual mode on my D3400 again. I still have yet to master it. I just haven’t had the time to really do much with it. Hopefully that changes soon. Anyway, I got these really pretty pictures of the sky and silhouetted trees.

335d74f7-fa60-4fe3-a43b-8b199ba2f8a6

Another sunset picture, because you guys know I live for taking pictures of the sky/sunsets/sunrises. This was on our way from having dinner with the hubby’s parents when they flew back in from vacation. It was raining, but it made this picture pretty amazing. I focused on the raindrops instead of the sky and I love how it turned out. I used my phone for this one.

I created a page on my blog arcs/review books. It’s going to be home to all of the books that I have been sent by publishers and authors. I mentioned how I wanted to create a blog post for it, but I decided to do it as a page instead. That way I can update it throughout the year and then when a new year rolls around, I can clear it and start again with a new year of review books. It’s linked above, so feel free to check it out! Hopefully it’ll also keep me on top of my reviews and books. I have been really busy this year though, so I fell a bit behind. I am still hoping to read them all this year if I can. If not, I will still get to them ASAP!

Tomorrow I am going to Lake Placid to help my cousin move. Her and her husband just bought a house and they finally closed on it earlier this week. My mom and I are going after I get off work and staying until at least Saturday night, possibly even until Sunday. I am excited to go, because a new place to take pictures, lol. Anyway, that’s all for this post! I will hopefully catch up with your posts later today or tomorrow. 🙂

WWW Wednesday is a weekly MEME hosted by Taking on a World of Words. Simply answer the following questions. 🙂

The three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

*Goodreads linked below.

Hey!

My reading is all over the place. I’m reading (and listening) to so many books at one time, which I never do. I think I’m in a reading slump or heading that way, so I keep starting new books to see if one will grab my attention. I also have so many ARCs that I need to get to, but just haven’t been in the mood to dive into my stack. I don’t want to read them when I’m not in the mood for them, because I don’t want to risk not liking them because of that. I’ll have a post on all the ARCs and review books that I need to read, so I can start checking them off the list! Anyway though, onto what I have been reading recently.

Currently Reading:

illbegoneinthedarkwhywebrokeuptheshadowmindsjournal

I’ll Be Gone in the Dark by Michelle McNamara
Why We Broke Up by Daniel Handler
The Shadow Minds Journal by Kia Carrington-Russell

Also, Circe. But it’s unofficially on the list, because in reality I haven’t touched it in months and not sure when I will pick it up again. I’m listening to I’ll Be Gone in the Dark, I’ve had it on hold at my library for months and finally got it. I only have it for a few more days though, so I have to try to finish it this week. It’s good so far. I’ve been wanting to read Why We Broke Up for awhile now. I was looking at my bookshelf over the weekend and it was calling my name to finally read it, so I started that. It’s okay so far. I’m a little over halfway through it now and I am hoping it gets better. I’m not really a huge fan of the writing style and sometimes the conversations in the book make no sense at all. I was sent an e-ARC of The Shadow Minds Journal from the author for review. I’m about 16% into it and it’s alright so far.

Recently Finished:

theboywhoadarkershadeofmagic

The Boy Who Could See Demons by Carolyn Jess-Cooke
A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab

I finally read A Darker Shade of Magic…I wasn’t that impressed. I liked it, but it didn’t blow me away. I was pretty bored throughout the first half of the book. I’ll still give the series a second chance and pick up the sequel soon. I also read The Boy Who Could See Demons, which was really good. It deals with mental health and I really liked it. I flew through it, it was hard to put down.

Reading Next:

murdertrending

#MurderTrending by Gretchen McNeil

I’m not entirely sure what I will be reading next. I’m reading so many at one time right now that I am going to try to focus on finishing those. I may try to read #MurderTrending soon since I got that ARC from Netgalley and it’s release date is early August. I have a few July ARCs I need to read too, so we’ll see what happens. I packed up the majority of my books (see below) and only kept like 30 or so out; including my ARCs that I need to read. So we’ll see what happens.

What are you currently reading? Recently finished? Reading next? Have you read any of these books? Feel free to link me to your posts, so I can check them out!

I have so much going on right now outside of the blogosphere and reading, so I don’t even know how much time I’ll have to read (or blog) the next month or two. I got the okay from my boss about moving and keeping my job, so we are heading to Lakeland at the end of August. We have a lot of things to do like get rid of things, start packing our stuff, paint our current apartment, and finding a new place to rent in Lakeland. There’s also a ton of little things that go into it too, like changing our address with the post office and changing it with other places too, getting power and water turned on over there, switching our internet/cable service to over there. SO MUCH TO DO AND NOT ENOUGH TIME! Hopefully once all of that is done and we’re settled, I’ll be on a lot more. I’ll catch up with your posts in the next day or two when I get some down time. 🙂

Hey!

I seen Yvo over at It’s All About Books post this “My Blog’s Name in Books” tag and I thought it looked fun, so I am doing it too! This book meme was originally started by Lynne from Fictionophile. My blog’s name is pretty long, so this should be interesting. I used the books on my Goodreads shelf of the TBR books that I own. All linked to Goodreads.

THE RULES:

1.  Spell out your blog’s name. (this is where you wish your blog’s name was shorter LOL)

2. Find a book from your TBR that begins with each letter. (Note you cannot ADD to your TBR to complete this challenge – the books must already be on your Goodread’s TBR)

3. Have fun!

All of these are books that I have been dying to read and just haven’t gotten around to reading them for whatever reason. I am hoping to finally read some of them this year and if not then maybe I’ll make a reading challenge out of this list next year and try to read all of these. 😛

Best Books I’ve Read In 2018 (So Far).

Hey!

I can’t believe it’s already been half a year! So far in 2018 I have read 38 books and listened to 10 audiobooks (currently listening to my 10th now). Here are ten of my five star reads. I think total I have about 12 or 13 five stars for the year so far. All of these books below were so amazing and I loved everything about them. Some are sequels and series enders that I absolutely love so much.

thecruelprinceimmortalreigninfernoemergencycontactyourname

The Cruel Prince by Holly Black
Immortal Reign by Morgan Rhodes
Inferno by Julie Kagawa
Emergency Contact by Mary H.K. Choi
your name. by Makoto Shinkai

turtlesallthewaydownwhattosaynextV23 new typeface tagline.inddorphannumbereighthammerofthor

Turtles All the Way Down by John Green
What to Say Next by Julie Buxbaum
Tell Me Three Things by Julie Buxbaum
Orphan Number Eight by Kim van Alkemade
The Hammer of Thor by Rick Riordan

Turtles All the Way Down was probably the biggest surprise of 2018 for me, because I honestly went into it thinking I was going to hate it. I don’t usually love John Green books, but this one was pretty amazing. Another surprise was The Cruel Prince, because really hyped books and I don’t mix well. I don’t usually love hyped books as much as everyone else and I have no idea why! But it just doesn’t always happen for me, but I loved The Cruel Prince so much. Immortal Reign (Falling Kingdoms) and Inferno (Talon Saga) were series enders and they are two of my favorite series of all-time! I hated to see them end, but they were so damn amazing. ALL THE FEELS.

Hey!

It’s been almost three months since I’ve done one of these posts and I don’t even know where to begin with it. I don’t remember what I have and haven’t posted already. So there may be a few repeats. I love posting these type of posts and my pictures, but when I go so long without doing one then I have no clue where to begin again, ahhh. 😛  Warning this is probably going to be REALLY picture heavy, because there’s probably 60+ pictures.

Feel free to follow me on Instagram (heyyitsashley)! A lot of these haven’t been posted on my Instagram yet, so you’re seeing them first! Eventually they’ll make their way on there. I take so many pictures and don’t want to post a million at one time, so I hoard pictures to post later, lol. Anyway, onto my pictures!

Let’s start with FOOD, because food is amazing. 😛

I stumbled upon this restaurant called “I Heart Mac & Cheese” and holy crap I was in heaven. I needed to go their, ASAP! Last week the hubby’s parents came down to visit and they took us there and it was great. I got the pulled pork mac & cheese. SO MUCH CHEEEEESE!

Recently the hubby and I tried a new pizza place (it’s amazing and we’ve already gone twice in like a week and a half) and we also tried a new burger place that was really great too. The burger place is called BurgerFi and the pizza place was called D’Salvos.

This new shaved ice place opened up down the street so we tried it out for my aunt’s birthday. It was really good. They sell alcoholic drinks in kind of shaved ice form and they were good. No picture of the drink, but I do got a picture of the shaved ice we got too. Also, their interior decor is amazing. One wall is painted like the ocean/sky. The ceiling has lights that are printed with clouds on them. The floor is like the ocean. And the table is sea glass. I accidentally deleted my picture of the floor. They also have a chalkboard wall so you can write/draw on it.

The shaved ice is blueberry. It’s sitting on the shaved ice table. The ocean/sky scene in the background is one of their walls. Below is my mom writing on their chalkboard wall and the top right corner is their sky/cloud lighting. SO COOL! 🙂

Alright, moving right along. Onto, furbabies!

img_0715

A year ago yesterday my little Leaf turned one (well technically she turned one in June, but I got her in July so that’s her new birthday). I tried so hard for days to get pictures of her in the birthday hat, but she just wasn’t having it. So I got pictures of her eating the birthday hat instead? They are all still pretty cute pictures though. I am so stoked we decided to keep her. We love her so much.

We’ve been dogsitting the hubby’s parents’ dog and Leaf and Digby love each other so much. It’s cute. They’ve been playing so much together to. 😀 Here is another picture of Digby, because I have a problem with taking pictures of animals. 😛

2e09c5ba-2c2d-4824-9505-6853e41ef02a

My four! Dax, Leaf, October, ColbyJack.

And some pictures of them loving each other.

Some other misc. pictures. First two are the cats are when I was trying to relax in the bath, but they all wanted to watch me. WEIRDOS. Third picture of me walking the pup. And the last picture is Leaf photobombing my picture of October.

Now onto nature type pictures. First up, the sky.

img_9904

Next, flowers and plants.

First picture is a shadow of some leaves on the side of our house. I really love how it turned out.

The rest are just some random pictures.

Some really neat buildings I’ve seen. The first picture each shop is a different color. Second picture is a parking garage that is painted to be a sunset (or sunrise). The entire parking garage isn’t picture. It’s HUGE.

A couple different pictures of the moon.

Playing with sparklers with my nephew and sister. My nephew didn’t a bunch of scribbles with his sparklers while I took a picture. My sister tried to write things out. Got this really cool one of an “A” she did. Last picture is just me holding the sparkler.

The hubby’s eye, lol. For some reason I really LOVE this picture though. And the second picture is of me and my new glasses! 😛  I really love these glasses.

And DONE! So many pictures. There’s even more pictures that I probably didn’t post, but trying to figure them out will be so hard. I’ll just leave you with these and hopefully I don’t let myself go months without doing another one of these posts. I will hopefully catch up with all of your posts at some point this week. I hope you had a great weekend!

Hey!

A few ago my mom took my sister and I to visit our dad. I love going to visit him, because I don’t see him that often. I am also able to take a ton of pictures when I go to visit him, because he has a huge garden with so many plants and flowers. I’ve posted about it before over here. If you haven’t noticed, taking nature pictures is kind of my thing; especially plants and flowers. So I took a bunch of pictures at his house and then we went to walk around the flea market for a little while. After the flea market we went to walk around Black Point Marina.

PICTURES FROM MY DAD’S GARDEN.

My dad had a few of these giant rocks that have little crystals covering them. Kind of like a geode or maybe it’s a geode, lol. That’s what I thought about when I seen it. It looks so cool and they shine in the light, because of all the tiny crystals. My dad broke me off a piece to take home with me (below). It’s so pretty, especially when you look at it in the light/sunlight.

Spider, caterpillar, and snail (above). There are massive amounts of spiders in my dad’s garden. You’re always having to duck down or collide with a spider/spider web. I hate it! I don’t like spiders. I don’t really like any insects, to be honest. I like taking pictures of them though, so I have to face my fear of spiders (and other creepy crawly bugs) every time I want a picture. 😛

Bright green iguana! It looked really neat. There were TONS of them all over this park. I mentioned in my last post with my pictures from TY Park that iguanas are everywhere in Florida. I think the younger ones are bright green. Because I see a lot of even bigger ones and they aren’t as green as this one.

We got my dad in on the lensball photography fun! 😀 I think this shot came out really neat. He wanted to hold the lensball while I took the picture. Inside the ball is a restaurant that was on the water at Black Point.

After the park we went to go get pizza and I also got these mac & cheese balls that were amazing! I didn’t take any pictures of the food, but I wish I would have. Went back to his house where I took more pictures and that was the end of the day. It was overall a great time and hopefully we can go back to visit him again really soon. Below is a picture of my dad trying to figure out what was up with his phone, lol. It kept randomly playing some man talking, haha.
