Hey!
I’ve found myself not really reading much over the last couple weeks, but I finally managed to finish a book this week, which was exciting. It put me a book ahead on my Goodreads challenge. With being in a bit of a reading slump, I was starting to fall behind on my Goodreads challenge. I’ve also been in a bit of a blogging slump as well as this reading slump, so I need to catch up with you guys this week.
I hate falling behind, but it happens. It’s been a pretty crazy couple weeks in my real life too. I plan to do some blog hopping tomorrow and Friday. Be on the look out and feel free to link me to some posts you want me to check out that I may have missed! 🙂 Anyway, here is what I’ve been reading this week.
Currently Reading:
Immortal Reign by Morgan Rhodes
I actually just started Immortal Reign this morning, so I only got through 2.5 chapters, but I am already LIVING for it. I don’t want this series to end, but I can’t wait to see what happens. I am dying to get home, so I can read all night.
Recently Finished:
When Dimple Met Rishi by Sandhya Menon
I knew I hit a reading slump, because I started When Dimple Met Rishi almost two weeks ago and only just now finished it. I also read the second half of the book in a single day (yesterday), so that even more confirms that I hit a slump. I decided to just stay up and finish the last half of the book instead of going longer without reading. I actually really enjoyed this book so much. It was so fun and cute. AND OMG RISHI! I pretty much fell in love with him.
Reading Next:
The Roanoke Girls by Amy Engel
A month or two I was sent a copy of The Roanoke Girls for review and haven’t been able to get around to reading it. I think I will try to read this one next, so I can get my review up. It sounds pretty interesting, so I am looking forward to it. I also have a ton of other books/ARCs I need to read and review as well. Lots of May/June/July releases. I want to try to get to some of them early and draft reviews to post later. I don’t want to fall behind with review requests/ARCs, especially with it only being the second month of the new year.
What are you currently reading? Recently finished? Reading next? Have you read any of these books? Let me know and link me to your posts if you have one!

I’m glad to hear you liked When Dimple Met Rishi! I haven’t read it yet, but had heard lots of good things about it!
I think you’ll really like When Dimple Met Rishi!
When Dimple Met Rishi is such a fun, cosy read. I really loved it when I read it last year. I also have a copy of The Roanoke Girls to read, I just never seem to get to it! I hope you enjoy it!
Here’s my WWW.
Hopefully we both enjoy The Roanoke Girls when we get around to reading it. It sounds pretty interesting. 🙂
I’ve heard great things about The Roanoke Girls. It’s one I want to read, so I’ll be watching for your review.
The Roanoke Girls sounds so interesting, so I can’t wait to finally read it!
I feel you on this post Ashley! I’m feeling myself slip into a slump & so I’m being very picky with the books I p/u lol. I’m already falling behind on arcs but doing my best to stay afloat, in my case it’s the last minute approvals that get me. Up in the air with what I’m going to read next, I have Daughter of the Siren Queen practically screaming “READ ME” & To Kill a Kingdom has me wanting alllll the Siren books so it’s meant to be lol. Hope you get back in the groove of things soon <3! 🙂
P.S. The Roanoke Girls was DAAAAARK! but I enjoyed the writing 🙂
Ahhhhh, I hate slumps. 😦 Hopefully yours doesn’t end up being too bad. Last minute approvals always get me too. I try not to request so many, especially from Netgalley or I try to space them out by release date. Like only requesting 1 o 2 with the same release month. I just bought the e-book for Daughter of the Pirate King since it was on sale! I need to add To Kill a Kingdom to my TBR. I need more Siren books in my life. I am super stoked to finally read The Roanoke Girls. I like dark, haha. It sounds interesting. 🙂
Yea I have zero self control when it comes to Books 🤦🏻♀️ 😂I swear in my head I could read them all! Lol! But I’m currently working on cleaning up my NetGalley cause it’s outrageous at the moment. Thankfully my Edelweiss will completely be clean by end of April 🙌🏼 we def need more Siren books! I’ll take pirates too. I’ll def have to come check out your thoughts for The Roanoke Girls, Bookworms either hate it or love it 🤷🏻♀️ I really enjoyed the writing. Happy reading Ashley 💜💜💜
Every time you mention The Fallen Kingdoms series it reminds me I really need to get copies and start reading it! Good to hear it’s living up to expectations so far. And I can’t wait to read the other two as well. Happy reading!
YESSSSS go read the Falling Kingdoms series! Tip though, if you’re not into in the first book, DON’T give up on it. I thought the first book was okay, but I kept with the series and every single book after it was amazing. Haha.
That’s good to know! I’ll definitely keep that in mind then.
When Dimple Met Rishi was my first read of the month and I loved it. I’m glad you enjoyed it as well. Rishi is an utter sweetheart!
Happy to hear you loved When Dimple Met Rishi too! Rishi ❤ Haha.
