Hi!

In case you were wondering, it’s not Friday. I actually thought it was Friday and let me tell you…the disappointment finding out that it was actually Thursday was REAL, you guys!

I’ve been taking part in monthly photo a day challenges on my Instagram account (heyyitsashley) and I’ve been having a lot of fun with them (when I don’t fall behind on pictures). I figured I would also cross post them to my blog as well. I think for the purpose of blogging, I will post 3-5 per blog post that I do throughout the month. That way I am not spamming my blog with a million photo a day posts back to back. You can follow me on Instagram (linked above) if you want to see them daily though! Some of these pictures will be taken with my Nikon. There will also be some taken  with my iPhone X.

It’ll be a little different this month and I won’t count the actual days of the month, because I missed a lot of days this month. I totally forgot the challenge even started until six days ago, lol. These are the five pictures that I did manage to do. Lately I have no clue what to caption my pictures anymore, so the majority of them are just emojis, lol. 😛

Random picture of the air freshener in the car. I thought it was cute. I love pineapples and the liquid inside was pink, so it worked. I don’t know why, but I really love this picture.

My sister was in town, so we went to Taco Beach Shack at the beach. I had a margarita, because you can’t really have tacos without margaritas. I mean you can, but it wouldn’t be the same. The sun happened to be setting too, which made for a pretty cool picture. Although trying to eat with the sun in your eyes and not having sunglasses was kind of lame.

Palm tree is in our backyard and the other tree is in the neighbors yard, but it looks pretty neat with them grouped together. Kind of digging the rainbow glare too. It was sunny (you can tell by the sun in the left corner 😛 ). It’s been so damn hot here this week. That’s Florida for you.

I was kind of stuck on this one, because I’m not really sure what inspires me. I feel like I should know, but honestly…I don’t really know. I haven’t really thought about it, I guess. I thought this quote was really good though and words can be inspiring. We have this sign in our yard where my mom created a little beach themed area with shells and sand years ago. The sign actually used to be pink, but rain over the years changed it’s color. Still pretty cool.

I went with a picture of some bright pink flowers for this one. I am OBSESSED with this picture and I love our rusty shed in the background. I think it makes the picture look even cooler, to be honest. Probably one of my favorite pictures I’ve ever taken.

The picture I have for today is really cool and the theme is black and white, so I just put a black and white filter on it, but it works. I’ll save that for my next photo a day post next week though. If you follow my Instagram (linked at the beginning of the post) then you can see it later today. I’m still trying to think of a caption for it, but I am stumped. It’ll probably end up being just an emoji if I can’t think of a caption or if I can’t find the perfect quote/song lyrics to go with it.

Regular bookish update: I have a ton of ARCs that I hope to start reading soon, so that I can put some more book reviews up. I have been slacking on the book reviews. I think I may try to do more reviews for non-ARC/new release books too. I did that in the past, but over the last couple years I haven’t done much of that. Even if it’s just mini reviews for the older books, that would work for me too.
