Books That Have Been On My TBR the Longest and I Still Haven’t Read.
Hi!
I am going to go with only the books that I own that I’ve had for a really long time now and still haven’t read. Let me tell you, it’s A LOT more than ten. I’m going to just get right into it. These are books that I’ve probably had since 2015 and haven’t read them yet.
All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven
A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab
Half Bad by Sally Green
A Thousand Pieces of You by Claudia Gray
The Young Elites by Marie Lu
Magonia by Maria Dahvana Headley
Amy & Roger’s Epic Detour by Morgan Matson (and all MM books)
Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
A Study in Charlotte by Brittany Cavallaro
Vengeance Road by Erin Bowman
I really want to try to make these books a priority this year and finally read them. There’s also PLENTY MORE not on this list that I want to try to make a priority this year. I really need to get to reading these older books I bought and that I’ve had for so long.
What are some books that you had on your TBR that you still haven’t read? Feel free to link me to your posts, so I can check them out.
In case you missed it;
4 & 4.5 star reads of 2017.

Wrap Up|| January.
I hope you have a great day!
I have a toooon of backlisted books as well, I think it happens to the best of us haha I’d say you should prioritize Six of Crows, Amy & Roger and A Darker Shade of Magic, but I am very biased haha
I don’t even like thinking about all the backlisted books I have, UGHH. It always depresses me, lol. Over the last few years I definitely bought way more than I actually read. It also doesn’t help that I get books from the library I don’t own instead of reading books I own, haha. I definitely want to get to Six of Crows, Amy & Roger, and A Darker Shade of Magic ASAP.
I just saw ‘all the bright places’ on another bloggers list – it’s a decent book but I really didn’t like the girl protagonist, she’s just so unlikable, at least by me but I did like Theodore Finch, he’s such a fun character, all sad and quirky but damm the ending.
‘six of crow’ is sometimes on my tbr list but there always seems to be some reason I keep removing it. at least, I don’t have a copy so I suppose I can still decide on this.
have a lovely day.
Good to know about All the Bright Places. I’ll have something to look out for. I definitely want to try to get to it ASAP. Same here with Six of Crows. Sometimes I’ll put it on my monthly TBR, but then I don’t ever get to it and then take it off the list. I do own a copy though and I love the Grisha Trilogy, so I am thinking I will love Six of Crows. I just have to finally get to read it LOL.
Oh man, I’ve been meaning to read A Darker Shade of Magic forever as well. Great list!
Thanks. Same here with A Darker Shade of Magic! Two of my close friends read and loved the series too and I still have yet to see why everyone loves it so much. I’m kind of scared to read it, to be honest. Because I tend to not love hyped books as much as everyone else.
Oh wow! I see a few I’ve had sitting on my TBR shelf for way too long & some that I even have owned copies of for a couple of years *for shame* LOL! OHMYGOSH! can’t wait to see what you think of Six of Crows *excited emoji* 🙂
SO MUCH SHAME with all these unread books I own, haha. I need to finally get to Six of Crows ASAP. I think maybe I’ll read it next month. I own the physical copy, but I’m going to try to get the e-book from the library. I feel like I read faster when I read e-books, LOL.
Omygosh same here! I love the feel of a book in my hands and on my shelves but I def read a lot faster in ebook format. Hope you enjoy the read ☺️💕
I hope you’ll get to read Amy & Roger, ADSOM and The Young Elites soon, I’d love to know what you think of these 🙂 I have read Magonia and was a bit disappointed by it
hopefully that won’t happen for you! ❤
I’ve seen a lot of mixed things about Magonia. I’ve had it for awhile now, so I definitely want to check it out soon. I hope I can get to all of those books ASAP! 😀 ❤
You must read Six of Crows! This is me hyping it to you, such that I hope it doesn’t let you down because I am still [arguably] at 100% success at recommending books. Maybe.
Cheers,
Joey @ Thoughts and Afterthoughts
I need to finally read it! You finally read I Hunt Killers, so it’s only fair that I finally read Six of Crows. HAHA. I hope it doesn’t let me down. I tend to not loved hyped books as much as everyone else. I loved the Grisha trilogy though, so I have hope.
A Darker Shade of Magic and Six of Crows are essential! I hope you get a chance to read both of these phenomenal books.
I need more phenomenal books in my life! I hope I can get to Six of Crows and ADSOM soon.
A Darker Shade Of Magic and Six Of Crows are must-reads! The whole series to be honest… And A Study In Charlotte is pretty good as well, although I still have to read the sequel. All The Bright Places is ok as well; part of the problem might have been me though. I personally couldn’t care for either Magonia or A Thousand Pieces Of You, but then again I’m in the minority (unpopular opinion review thingie spoiling the fun again). xD I hope you’ll get the chance to read these!
Hopefully this year I’ll finally get to all of these books! I am really excited about Six of Crows and A Study In Charlotte. I tried reading A Thousand Pieces of You, but at the time I think I only read a few pages before putting it down to read something else. I wasn’t in the mood for that kind of book, but I am hoping to give it another chance and see what happens.
You might enjoy A Thousand Pieces Of You a lot better than I did, because if I remember correctly the main problem I had was with the romance and love triangle (surprise!). xD
I could have listed Amy & Roger and most of the rest of her books on my list, too. I need to read more of Matson’s stuff. You’re going to love Six of Crows when you get to it!
I’ve read Morgan Matson’s other book series that she wrote under the name “Katie Finn” and I loved those books so much, so I think I would really enjoy her Morgan Matson stuff. I don’t know why I haven’t gotten around to reading any of them yet and I pretty much own all of her books! Hopefully I get to Six of Crows soon. I loved the Grisha trilogy, so I am excited.

Six of Crows is so good! I hope you enjoy it when you get round to it:) I need to read The Young Elites too! It’s been sat on my shelf for over a year:(
Hopefully we both get around to reading The Young Elites ASAP!
Such a great list, Ashley 🌸
I absolutely loved All The Bright Places; it’s hard to explain why, I just love it SO much and it is definitely worth reading!
I also still have Six of Crows, The Young Elitse, A Darker Shade of Magic and A Study in Charlotte. Six of Crows is definitely on top as I’ve heard nothing but excellent things about it!
Thank you, Michelle! 🙂
I definitely plan to read All the Bright Places this year and hopefully soon. Glad to see that you loved it.
I’ve heard nothing but excellent things about Six of Crows too! I hope we both love with when we get around to reading it.
