5 star reads of 2017.

2017books.jpgHey!

I thought it would be fun to do a blog post with the books that I rated five stars. I’ll also have one for four stars and three stars as well. In 2016 I read 105 books and only rated 15 of them with five stars. In 2017 I read a lot less (67 books) and managed to rate so many (27) of them five stars! I was either less pickier with five stars this year or I read some pretty amazing books. ๐Ÿ˜›

These are in no particular order. I just sorted my Goodreads 2017 list by “rating” and these are listed from top to bottom. I did try to group same author/series together though.

  1. The only two books on this list I’ve read are the Bone Season and the Mime Order, and they’re also five stars for me too. I love them and the sequel The Song Rising was one of my top books of last year. I can’t wait to see how Samantha Shannon continues the series and I’m a little gutted we have to wait quite a while for the fourth book.

  2. Oh great post, Ashley! I haven’t read many of these books, but I loved Silvera’s More Happy Than Not, that book broke my heart haha. I can’t wait to read Jenn Bennett’s book, Alex Approximately, it sounds SO great! So happy you loved it ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. 27 five-star reads is incredible. I think I had about 12-15 five-star reads last year. The Hollow Girl, P.S. I Like You, and More Happy Than Not were all wonderful. I rated those all four stars, but can totally see why you gave out five stars. Hope your 2018 is filled with just as many five-star reads!

    • I was pretty surprised that my count ended up being 27 five star reads since in 2016 I read WAY more books than I did last year and I only had 15 five stars lol. The Hollow Girl was so good! I wish more people were reading it and talking about it!
