Books I Really Liked but Can’t Remember Anything/Much About.

Hey!

This is something that I am so bad with! Even some of my favorite books, I can’t seem to remember them clearly anymore. SO SAD, especially when I know I’ve loved them so much at the time that I read them. It’s so much worse when it’s a book that is a part of a series. Here are some of the books that I’ve read over the years that I REALLY loved, but can’t really remember much about them (other than the feeling of knowing I loved them).

The Serpent King by Jeff Zentner
Simon Vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli
The Book of Lost Things by John Connolly
The Giver (all 4 boooks) by Lois Lowry
Angelfall (all 3 books) by Susan Ee

These are some of my favorite books and it’s so sad that I can’t remember them completely. I know I loved them SO MUCH! I rated all of them five stars too. I think it’s time for a reread of these books. Luckily the Simon vs. movie is coming out this year though. It’ll give me a little bit of a refresher even if movies aren’t exactly the same as their books.

Legion by Julie Kagawa
Crystal Storm by Morgan Rhodes
The Song Rising by Samantha Shannon
Hollow City by Ransom Riggs
The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken

These are some of my all-time favorite series and series that I need to finish, but I just can’t remember most of what happened! The Talon series (Legion) and the Falling Kingdoms series (Crystal Storm) are both finishing this year though, so that’s pretty exciting. I just have to reread or find recaps, sigh. Part of the reason why I haven’t read Library of Souls yet is because I don’t remember much of what happened in Miss Peregrine’s and Hollow City, so I keep putting it on hold.

What are some books you really liked, but can’t remember much or anything about them? Let me know in the comments and feel free to link me to your posts!

In case you missed it, I have a giveaway going on until the 31st of this month (January). It’s linked down below if you want to enter and win a book of your choice! It’s international as long as book depository ships to you.

    • Yeah, it’s definitely crazy that we can forget the books that we love! I hope you love Angelfall whenever you get the chance to read it. I need to do a reread of it.

  1. My memory is horrible. I can only remember bits and pieces of favorite books, but never all of it. I’m always worried that if I reread one, it won’t be my favorite anymore, because my opinion will change!

    • Good point about your opinion might change if you reread it! Very good possibility, especially since as we get older we change in general. I don’t reread books that often. It sucks not remembering much about our favorites!

  2. I feel like it’s honestly due to how many books we read back to back, it’s hard to retain it all.lol. I only remember The Serpent King cause it made me ugly cry otherwise, I’ve forgotten many of my faves *sobs* 🙂

  3. The same happens to me too! I loved The Serpent King, Simon and Angelfall (all three) so much and I don’t really remember what it is all about… And Miss Peregrine is on the list as well. I only read the first and kind of need to do a reread before I continue with the series, but with book four coming out later this year I might just wait until that one is published so I won’t have to do another reread. 😉 And one of the reasons I’m waiting to start with the Talon and Falling Kingdom series is that I want to avoid forgetting what the series is about before the next book is published haha.

    • I think because we read so many books back to back, we don’t give the stories time to sink into our minds. Hahah. I think I’ll probably continue to hold out on Library of Souls until the new book comes out too. I may also listen to the first two books on audiobook, so I can get a refresher. Well the final books for the Talon and Falling Kingdoms series is coming out this year (final book for the Falling Kingdoms first week of February), so you’ll be able to binge them all soon!

  4. I loved The Serpent King and Simon vs. as well, but I only remember that the fist one made me cry a whole lot and the second one made me smile haha. It’s funny and also a bit sad that we tend to forget what books are about and details of a plot, even if we loved it. I can’t WAIT to see the Simon vs. movie to refresh my memory a bit 😀

    • Same here for The Serpent King and Simon vs. One had me ugly crying and the other had me non-stop smiling, haha. It sucks not remember, but happy I’m not alone in it. I was beginning to think I just have a terrible memory haha. I can’t wait to see the Simon vs. movie too. So excited for it! 🙂

    • Rereading Simon would definitely be the perfect way to prepare myself for the movie. I flew through it the first time I read it in a day, so I can easily fly through it again. Haha. Oreos are always a win!
