BOO! HI!
I know, I know…I’ve been gone for awhile. We had that hurricane and I’m fine. No damage for me, but I was out of power for like 4-5 days. It was the worst, because I live in Florida and it’s HOT AF! I’m good though! I won’t make any excuses as to why I haven’t updated. I just haven’t been in the mood to blog or read lately. 😦 Maybe that’ll change soon!
Now onto my recap of what I read in September. You can find a full list of these books and the other books I read this year over here. All will be linked to Goodreads below and I will also link to individual blog posts for them if I did a review.
Physically Read Books:
These are the books that I read by myself (not audiobooks) throughout the month of September.

The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas – 3 out of 5 stars.
The Hate U Give was a good book, but it didn’t live up to all the hype for me. I had some problems with it, but for the most part it was alright. It’s a really important book though and I think everyone should read it.
Bad Romance by Heather Demetrios – 5 out of 5 stars.
I. FREAKING. LOVE. THIS. BOOK. SO. MUCH. HOLY emotional roller coaster. I could not stop reading Bad Romance. I read it in a day. It was so freaking good! This is also a really important book that I think everyone should read.
The Upside of Unrequited by Becky Albertalli – 4 out of 5 stars.
I finally read The Upside of Unrequited and it was such a great book. It wasn’t as good as Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda, but it was still a great book. I had fun reading it. I loved the characters. Almost non-stop smiling (as I was when I read Simon vs.). ALSO!!!!!….so much talk about Cadbury Mini Eggs, which are my freaking favorite Easter candy EVER!
Currently Reading Books:
These are the books that I started to read in the month of September, but didn’t get a chance to finish them yet.
Invictus by Ryan Graudin
The Art of Starving by Sam J Miller
Currently in the middle of both of these books. I’m enjoying Invictus so far. It’s interesting. The Art of Starving was pretty good at the beginning, but now I’m having trouble with it. I”m pretty bored now, which sucks because it was so good! I still have half the book to read though, so maybe it’ll start getting good again.
What did you read in September? Have you read any of the books that in September? Feel free to link me to your wrap up posts, so I can check them out!
I may do a September book haul soon. I think I bought one or two books in September. I was also sent a package from Fierce Reads that had SEVEN ARCs in it! HOLY CRAP! I need to figure out what books I bought this month and possibly take some pictures. 🙂

Happy you didn’t have any hurricane damage.
Thanks, me too! 🙂
Hi Ashley! I’m so glad to hear you’re okay and that the hurricane didn’t do too much damage for you. ❤
I'm so happy to hear you loved Bad Romance so much, I really want to read this book – I loved I'll Meet You There by the same author so much 🙂
Hey Marie! 😀 Thank you! So glad everything turned out okay with the hurricane. I would definitely recommend checking out Bad Romance. So good and hard to put down! I think you’ll really like it. 🙂
Glad that you are safe and no damages to your home.
Marilyn
Thank you! 🙂
What matters is that you’re safe and sound. Mood changes all the time! Great post, keep it up!
Very true! Thank you! 🙂

Glad to hear you’re doing well. I can’t imagine what you must have gone through. I’ve been on the fence about buying Invictus, but with my October TBR full, I think I’ll wait to decide in November. Glad to hear you’ve enjoyed it so far. Happy October!
Thank you! You have plenty of time to decide you want to buy Invictus since you have a full October TBR!
