Hi!

I am leaving for my honeymoon/vacation this weekend, so you won’t see any posts and stuff from me for a little over a week. I’m so excited for the trip though! First we’ll be driving to VA/DC area for a few days, which I am beyond excited about. I’ve always wanted to go to DC.

We are also going to BookCon next weekend in NYC, which will hopefully be amazing. Signing tickets went quickly, but luckily a lot of authors I want to see have in-booth signings as well. Adam Silvera, Stephanie Perkins, Nicola Yoon, Renee Ahdieh, Marie Liu. Just a few that I hope to catch their in-booth signings. Sad I didn’t get Leigh Bardugo tickets, but those went SO FAST! I did get tickets for Veronica Roth, Danielle Paige, Morgan Matson, and of course Barry Lyga!

Barry Lyga is the number one person I’m most excited about. We were going to go on Sunday as well, but we are skipping so we can see more of NYC instead and I’m totally cool with that! I am super stoked about Morgan Matson too. I read her Broken Hearts and Revenge series that she wrote under “Katie Finn”, so I tweeted her asking if Katie Finn would be able to make an appearance (LOL) to sign some books too and she said “for sure”! That’s one of my favorite series. I feel like I’m getting a two for one with her signing, because I can get a book signed by Morgan Matson and Katie Finn. 😛 lol.

I got Veronica Roth and Danielle Paige under the hubby’s badge, but I am hoping they’ll let me go in his place. If not, he’ll be getting books signed for me. Total bummer, because I originally wanted Veronica Roth but at the time getting my tickets there weren’t any. I checked later in the day and there was one available but my spots were used up and he had an opened spot. I was sitting at the computer when tickets went on “sale” and as I was looking through the list of who I wanted, tickets were getting sold out quick. Totally my fault, I should have figured out who I wanted ahead of time. Live and learn for next time.

My May monthly wrap up and book haul will be late this month since I won’t get back home until June 7th. I am officially (minus working from home today) on vacation! We leave Sunday, yay! Today aside from working at home, I have a ton of things to do to get ready for the trip. I totally slacked this week and did nothing, the usual. I’m always a last minute person. I do my best work last minute? 😛

Anyway, that’s all! Just wanted to give you guys an update letting you know that I will be MIA for a little bit. Hopefully I’ll see some of you at BookCon if you’re attending!
