HI!

I’ve been feeling kind of reading slumpish. I’ve been trying out a bunch of different books this week, but can’t seem to want to sit and read for long periods of time, so I have been reading a few pages here and there. I have a 15 hour long car ride coming up Sunday though, so maybe I will get a ton of reading in then! ๐Ÿ˜€ย Here are the books that I’ve been reading this week…

Currently Reading:

theunlikeliestorch

The Unlikelies by Carrie Firestone
Torch Against the Night by Sabaa Tahir

I am about 75 pages into the Unlikelies and it’s pretty enjoyable so far. Hopefully I can read some more at some point this week. This week is going to be insanely busy for me with getting everything ready for our honeymoon trip. I am halfway through the audiobook for A Torch Against the Night and honestly I am so bored. SO FREAKING BORED. I haven’t picked it up again in a few days. I really loved An Ember in the Ashes. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ Maybe the second half of Torch will be good when I finally get around to picking it up again.

Recently Finished:

sagavol1

Saga Vol. 1 by Brian K. Vaughan, Fiona Staples

I finished Saga Vol. 1 and it was so so good. It was my first real attempt at a graphic novel and I loved it. It got a little weird sometimes, but it was still great. So many feels. So many! It had me laughing out loud quite a bit as well. I love Marko and Alana. They were hilarious. I am really excited to continue with the series.

Reading Next:

thewindfallthesongrisingwallthedge

The Windfall by Diksha Basu
The Song Rising by Samantha Shannon
Walk the Edge by Katie McGarry

Same deal as it has been for the last few weeks for my reading next.ย I’m not entirely sure what I want to read next, but here are a few options I have and also the next two volumes of Saga (not pictured). I’m not bringing a ton of physical books with me on my trip, but I have my Kindle loaded up with a TON of books including these three. I’ve had the Windfall in my reading next list for the last few weeks. It’s the last ARC I have on Netgalley and it’s releasing at the end of June so I want to get to that one soon. I am dying to see what happens next in the Bone Season series. I read a couple chapters of The Song Rising and looking forward to reading more. I loved Nowhere But Here SOOO much and I am really looking forward to reading Walk the Edge, so we’ll see happens! What I’m reading next is really up in the air right now, to be honest.

What are you currentlyย reading? Recently finished? Reading next? Have you read any of these books? Let me know and link me to your posts if you have one!

    • Yes, read it! ๐Ÿ˜€ It’s really quick too since it’s most pictures LOL! It only took me a week since I wasn’t in the mood to read anything.

    • So far the Unlikelies has been pretty fun! ๐Ÿ˜€ I hope so too! The hubby will be doing all the driving, so I will have a lot of free time to just read. ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. eeeeeeeeeeK! I’m so HAPPY you LOVED Saga!!!! YASSSSS! *calming down now* lol! they only get better & funnier. I recently went back to the comic book store (Forbidden Planet in NYC is HEAVEN) and purchased 2 more graphic novels that I really didn’t need to p/u right now but I’m basically doing anything to stop me from reading Saga vol 7. I cannot & will not do that to myself *sobs* it’s a year wait for the next one. I’d really like to get to Nowhere But Here this summer & I’m almost certain I can squeeze it into my TBR. Road trip = reading & awkward singing ๐Ÿ˜‰

    • I’m so glad that I loved Saga! ๐Ÿ˜€ I can’t wait to read the other volumes I have. I’ve been trying to hold out until the road trip, lol. I’ll have to check out Forbidden Planet when I’m in NYC soon! I want to check out more graphic novels! Waiting a year for the next one sucks! ๐Ÿ˜ฆ I hate the waiting. At least I have a bunch of volumes left before I get to the seventh one lol. I hope you squeeze Nowhere But Here into your summer TBR! It was so good. Super stoked for all the reading and awkward singing soon! haha. ๐Ÿ˜›

      • Omg! I’m excited for you to be in NYC! Hope you enjoy your honeymoon! If you make it to Forbidden Planet, the great thing is that it’s up the block from STRAND! ๐Ÿ˜ which is heaven for us bookworms. Strand: 2nd floor is YA & comics, stick to the shelves if you want to find bargain prices. The displays have full price only but in the shelves you’ll find books both new & not yet released (hidden gems) for $9! ๐Ÿ˜‰ they also have some awesome swag ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผhope you have a blast! ๐Ÿ’™

  2. I’m with you on the bookish slump thing. I have been reading some great books and enjoying them, but can’t seem to focus for long periods of time. Is this what bookworm burnout feels like? Lol.
