I was pretty good this month with not getting a ton of books! I’m proud of myself, because there are SO MANY BOOKS that I really want to buy. Last month’s haul was pretty insane compared to this one, lol. Here’s my April book haul…

Bang by Barry Lyga

The Upside of Unrequited by Becky Albertalli

I’ve been dying to get my hands on Bang. It was one of my most anticipated books of the year. I’ll have my review linked at the end of the post. It sadly didn’t live completely up to my expectations and hopes. I also bought The Upside of Unrequited. I’m super stoked to have it, because I loved Simon VS so much. I won an ARC of Fireworks on Goodreads, which is exciting. I’ve enjoyed the other books from Katie Cotugno, so I’m looking forward to reading this one.

The Onyx Vial by Alexis Lampley

I got this book in my one-time Nerdy Post box. I’ll have my blog post linked down below if you want to see more about Nerdy Post and the boxes that I got this month; in case you missed it. I didn’t have a picture of it by itself, so I’m reusing this one. I can’t wait to dive into it, it sounds really good.

Netgalley eARCs:

I decided to request some books on Netgalley since it’s been awhile since I’ve done that. Here are a couple of the ones that I was approved for so far. I still have some other pending requests as well. I’ll be reading these two in May, so I can get my reviews up before they release.

Amish Guys Don’t Call by Debby Dodds

One of Us Is Lying by Karen M. McManus
(releases May 30th)

I read the first chapter of One of Us Is Lying and it’s pretty interesting. Not going to lie though, I’m nervous about all the multiple POVs. So far there is 3 POVs, but I’m thinking there is going to be at least four of them. I’m not a huge fan of books with a lot of POVs, but hopefully this one works for me. It gives off a little bit of a Breakfast Club vibe and I love that movie so much. Amish Guys Don’t Call sounds  pretty good. I am also fascinated by the Amish for some reason, lol. I think it’ll be a fun YA contemporary read.

My April book haul wasn’t too crazy, so that’s good. Next month I’m only expecting to get two books. I have two pre-orders for May, but I don’t think I’ll be getting anything other than those two. BUT you never know. 😛 I’ll have my wrap up post for the month of April posted on Monday.
