Hello!
I seen this December photo a day challenge on theeminha‘s bookstagram and decided to take part in it on my bookstagram (foreverbookish_ – feel free to add me!) and also turn them into blog posts as well. You can check out my original post over here with all the topics for each day if you want to take part in it as well!
Day 3: Favorite author of 2016.
Morgan Rhodes. I read Rhodes’ Falling Kingdoms series and the first book in her Spirits and Thieves series this year. I became instantly obsessed with her books, especially the Falling Kingdoms series. She is definitely one of my new favorite authors and I am so happy I discovered her books this year. I can’t wait to get my hands on Crystal Storm and The Darkest Magic. I am so excited to see where these series go and I am dying for more from her.
Colleen Hoover. I never read a book by CoHo until this year. I have seriously been missing out! Her books have been amazing and I haven’t been let down yet. I love her writing. Her books seriously destroy me every time, yet I can’t seem to stop reading her books. I don’t own them all yet, but have been borrowing from the library. I can’t wait to finish building my CoHo collection though! I have my eyes on the UK editions of the Slammed series on Book Depository.
What was your favorite author of 2016?
I will be back tomorrow with day four. The topic for day four will be “your favorite genre this year“.
In case you missed it;

Adding you up! Lovely post 😄 happy to connect 💕
Do check out my writings too, will appreciate your views 🤗
I need to read the Falling Kingdom series! And while I have a love-hate relationship with CoHo’s books, she is one of the very few authors that is able to convince me I can actually enjoy romance. It Ends With Us and November 9 are on my list of all time favorites!
Yes, I definitely recommend reading the Falling Kingdoms series. Heads up though, I wasn’t blown away by the first book. So if you find yourself not really liking the first book too much, continue the series. It gets better and better! I don’t really read much romance books besides CoHo. She makes me curious to try others.
That’s great advice! I’ll keep it in mind when I start the series next year.
