Stealing Snow is a re-imagining of the Snow Queen fairytale. I am not really familiar with that fairytale, so I wasn’t sure what to expect with this book. I loved Paige’s series Dorothy Must Die, so I was excited to get my hands on her new book. Sadly, Stealing Snow fell really flat for me. I enjoyed the beginning of the story when Snow was in the mental hospital, but then once she goes to this new world of Algid it started to go downhill for me.

I found it so hard to connect with the characters and the story. I found myself having a hard time liking them and caring about them. I felt disconnected throughout the entire book with the characters and the story. Toward the halfway mark nothing really happened, but I pushed through it. Not a lot was going on and at first I thought it was just going to have a slow start, but then it just kept the same pace to the end. It lacked excitement and world building.

The romance was a bit weird for me, especially because there is three love interests. I’m not a huge fan of love triangles, but three love interests seems too much. I will say that the twist at the end was a surprise to me and I’m a little curious about what’s going to happen with that. Overall though, it just did not live up to my expectations. I wanted so badly to love this book as much as I love Paige’s other series, but it was not for me. I am glad I was given the opportunity to read this book though and maybe you will like it better!
