2016readmybooks

Hi!

I’ve been taking part in Maren’s (The Worn Bookmark) read my books challenge over on her blog, where I read the books that I already own versus only new books. I made a TBR jar of all the books I own (NOT including books I bought and will buy in 2016). My goal is to read 30 of my already owned books from that TBR jar.

# Books read in June: 1
# Books read year to date: 7/30

illuminae

Illuminae by Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff

I was able to actually finish a book for my read my books challenge. I’ve been horrible with this challenge this year, ughhh. I stayed up last night to finish the last 200 pages of Illuminae (review to come). I finished at 11:40pm, so 20 minutes before July 1st. 😛 It’s so sad that I’ve only read 7 of 30 older books on my shelves. I need to stop borrowing library books and read my own books, lol. I also need to mix it up and read my older books instead of newer books I get, sigh. Maybe July will be better? lol. Crossing my fingers!

Hello!

I got quite a bit of e-books this month. There were so many good deals on e-books and I couldn’t pass them up, sigh. I got them all for $3.99 or less!

Nevernight by Jay Kristoff

I haven’t been requesting books on Netgalley, but I decided to request Nevernight because it sounds so good and Maren (The Worn Bookmark) seemed to be loving it. I was excited that I was approved for it and can’t wait to read it. I didn’t really enjoy Illuminae, so I’m hoping that I have better luck with this Kristoff book.

Have you read any of these books? Did you get any good e-book deals this month?
