June TBR.

Hi 🙂

TBR lists are so hard for me to stick to, so I made a pretty short list for this month. That way it’s not too intimidating to the point that it’ll make me not want to read them. It also leaves it pretty open so that I can read other books as well that I may be in the mood for. Last month I read six books (not counting audiobooks), so I should be able to hopefully read some other books as well as these three books that I chose for my June TBR.

Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson
I am buddy reading Mistborn with some friends. So far I am about 70 pages into it and I am enjoying it. I’m pretty excited to really get into it though. I wasn’t able to read as much as I hoped yesterday. So far it seems like something I will love though. I am crossing my fingers it continues to go well.

And speaking of crossing my fingers…

Hearts, Fingers, and Other Things to Cross by Katie Finn
I’ve mentioned it a million times, but I LOVE the Broken Hearts and Revenge series by Katie Finn. All you Morgan Matson fans may love Broken Hearts, Fences, and Other Things to Mend because well…Katie Finn is Morgan Matson. 😛 I definitely recommend checking it out, but if you do, do NOT for any reason at all read the description to any of the books besides the first book. You will spoil it and trust me, you do NOT want to be spoiled. I love the series so much and it’s so fun to read. Hearts, Fingers, and Other Things to Cross is the final book in the trilogy and I am so stoked to see how it all ends!

Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard
I did an audiobook reread of Red Queen in May, because I really wanted to finally get to Glass Sword. I’ve been putting it off for way too long. I loved Red Queen so much and I am hoping that Glass Sword does not disappoint.

What is on your June TBR? Have you read any of these books?

  1. I am super curious about what you are going to say about Glass Sword. So far, it’s been a disappointment for a lot of people (me included), but I hope you still enjoy it. I stand by the opinion that a map would have made it better.

    • Ahhh I keep hearing that Glass Sword has been a disappointment. 😦 Hopefully it isn’t too far. I loved Red Queen, so that’ll be really sad and annoying if I don’t like it. I think that’s why I keep putting off reading it. I’m scared I’ll be disappointed. lol

    • So far I am really enjoying Mistborn! Yay! I don’t want to say I’m going to put off Glass Sword again quite yet, but it’s a possibility. I’ve seen so many people have been disappointed with it and now I’m scared to even read it lol. Sigh.

  2. I finally managed to get a copy of the first book, so I’m hoping to start Katie Finn’s series soon! Mistborn as well… I personally didn’t like Glass Sword, but I hope you enjoy it better.

    • Yay! I’m glad you got a copy. I hope you like it. 🙂 I’ve seen a lot of people have been disappointed with Glass Sword. So sad 😦 I hope I like it.

  3. That Katie Finn cover is so, so pretty and summer-y. I own the first book, but haven’t read it. I’m not the BIGGEST fan of Morgan Matson’s books but I’m willing to give this one a try. Good luck with your TBR. Hope you like everything you read. ❤️

    • I love the book covers for this Katie Finn series. I actually haven’t read a Morgan Matson book. I own them all, but haven’t gotten around to reading them. I have read her books as Katie Finn though. So I’m hoping I love her other books too. Broken Hearts was hilarious, fun, and easy to read. Some twists thrown in as well. It’s definitely a fun series to get into if you need a break from fantasy or a lot of emotionally draining books. I hope you like it!

  5. Mistborn was so good!! Loved that book. ❤ Still haven't picked up the next book though–should definitely get on that! And I'm super interested in seeing what you think of Glass Sword. Unfortunately it wasn't the best experience for me but I hope it turns out to be better for you. ❤

    • I’m 200 pages into Mistborn and I really like it. I’ve seen a lot of people say how much of a disappointment Glass Sword was, which sucks since I loved Red Queen so much. Hopefully it’s not too bad.
