Ten Books That Will Make You Laugh (or at least chuckle)

Hi!

I’m not a fan of the weekends going by way too fast, but I survived Monday and made it to Tuesday. πŸ˜›Β I love when a book can make me laugh and sometimes I’m easily amused. I’m just going to get right into my TTT and show you the books that had me laughing like crazy.

Trouble Is a Friend of Mine by Stephanie Tromly
Dead End in Norvelt by Jack Gantos
Winger by Andrew Smith
Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli
Yes Please by Amy Poehler

Trouble Is a Friend of Mine was so ridiculous, but I loved it so much haha. Digby was hands down an awesome character. So many crazy things happen in Dead End in Norvelt, but it was funny and pretty ridiculous at times too.Β Winger was really funny when it wasn’t serious (it can be at times) and there are little drawings and cartoons within the pages. If you weren’t smiling and giggling when you were reading Simon vs. then something may be wrong with you. πŸ˜› Amy Poehler is my spirit animal. I love her and her book was so hilarious.

Modern Romance by Aziz Ansari
Eightysixed: Life Lessons Learned by Emily Belden
Dash & Lily’s Book of Dares by Rachel Cohn
Broken Hearts, Fences, and Other Things to Mend by Katie Finn
Percy Jackson and the Olympians series || The Heroes of OlympusΒ series by Rick Riordan

Like Amy Poehler, I love Aziz Ansari. I loved him in Parks & Rec and I love his stand up. His book was not at all a let down and it was so funny at times. Eightsixed had me laughing non-stop. It’s been a few years since I’ve read it and I defintely want to do a reread. It was non-stop hilarious. Dash & Lily and Broken Hearts were fun reads with tons of laugh out loud moments. I love the Percy Jackson books and there are always funny commentary thrown in with the mix of characters. I definitely need to do a reread of these books as well!

Have you read any of these books? What are some of the books that make you laugh? Let me know and feel free to link me to your posts. I would love to see them!

Random picture. I did a book rainbow on my bookstagram (foreverbookish_) and I liked how it came out. Feel free to add me on Instagram! πŸ™‚

I should hopefully have a couple of book reviews up this week. I know I have been slacking with reviewing the books I read. Hopefully that’ll change soon and I can get those up on the blog. I miss being on here regularly. I’ve been in this weird place (or mood – I don’t really know what to call it) in my life lately and can’t quite figure out what or why. I hope that I get out of whatever it is that I am in and get back into blogging (and reading) regularly again.

Off to work. I hope you have a great day!

  1. Love the bookstagram! So pretty!! I’ve never heard the Percy Jackson mentioned as having humor in them before so now i’m definitely going to move them further up my TBR pile! My TTT

  2. Love your list! The Percy Jackson books definitely made me laugh all the way through. I love Rick Riordan’s writing! Here’s my TTT. πŸ™‚

    • Thank you! I love Rick Riordan’s writing as well! I need to jump back into his books. I bought the Sword of Summer when it was released last year, but never got around to reading it yet.

  3. Aziz Ansari really is the best, I loved the audio book because it just felt like I was listening to this stand-up and instantly became the weird person giggling at the gym. Also, the bookstagram is adorable πŸ™‚

  4. Great book picture – love how you set it up. πŸ™‚

When “Trouble Is a Friend of Mine” came out, I was really curious about it, and since then, I’m totally forgotten about it. One of these days I’ll have to pick it up. That cover alone suggests it’d be a fun read. πŸ™‚
