Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.
10 Of My Most Recent 5 Star Reads (Or Ten Of The Best Books I’ve Read Recently if you don’t 5 star stuff…)
I’ve been pretty selective with my rating, so I haven’t really been throwing five stars out too often. I don’t have a whole lot of five star stuff so far this year, so it’ll be a mix of this year and last year’s five stars. These are in order by newest five stars to oldest five stars.
Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover
Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover
Every Day by David Levithan
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince by J.K. Rowling
Dumplin’ by Julie Murphy
Shattered Blue by Lauren Bird Horowitz
The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness
I Hunt Killers by Barry Lyga
*I five starred the entire IHK series, but linking only the first book*
Whistling Past the Graveyard by Susan Crandall
My Sister Lives on the Mantelpiece by Annabel Pitcher
What are some 5 star books you read or some of the best books you read recently? Let me know and link me to your posts!
I posted my March book haul post yesterday. Feel free to check it out over here. I hope you have a great day!

i’ve heard so many great things about Dumplin! My TTT
I really loved Dumplin’! 🙂
Oh my gosh, Maybe Someday is one of my all time favorite CoHo books! I’m so glad you enjoyed it 🙂
I just got into CoHo this year and she has yet to disappoint! 🙂 Obsessed with her books!
Maybe Someday has been on my list for so long, but I felt it was a bit hyped–especially on Instagram. However, your reviews are always on point. So, I’m definitely going to read it soon. Lovely list of books! I need to check out some of them. 🙂 ❤
Thank you! I wasn’t sure I would love Maybe Someday, but I ended up loving it so much. It even has a soundtrack to go along with the book, which makes the reading experience even better! 🙂 ❤
So many awesome books on your list, these are ones I have either loved myself or am desperate to read. I love all of Hoovers books, they are just so good. My favourite has to be Maybe Someday, I just loved that and the experience of reading it and listening to the album as you went along… SOOOOOO GOOD!!! I am definitely going to be adding some of these to my already endless TBR, so thanks for the awesome recommendations!!! 🙂 Here’s my most recent five star reads, if you want to check them out 🙂
Thank you! 🙂 I am obsessed with CoHo now. I just got into her this year. Maybe Someday is definitely my favorite too and it was so neat having the soundtrack to go along with the book. I’m glad you’re going to add some of these books to your TBR! I hope you enjoy the ones you add! 🙂
I still need to read Dumplin! Pretty sure I will love that book. I’m still sad I didn’t like The Knife! Oh well… can’t love them all!
Yes, read Dumplin’! I love that book so much. I’m still sad you didn’t like The Knife either. 😦
It seems that most readers who check out Colleen Hoover’s books tend to like them a lot. I haven’t read them yet but I’m a little curious. I plan to reread HP & the Half-Blood Prince soon.
I never read any of Hoover’s books until this year. I honestly didn’t think I would even really like them and never checked them out, but I’ve read four books so far of hers this year and I loved every single one. lol!
Lol that’s the usual reaction to her books. I guess she’s really good at hooking peeps.
I haven’t read any of the books on your list this week. I’ll be adding a few of the book titles to my ever growing reading wishlist.

I’m glad you’ll be adding some new books to your list! I hope you love them! 🙂
I loved the idea of Every Day, but I am still upset that the action of the story basically started in the end and we’ll never get to find out how it continues 😦
There is going to be another book that is a sequel for Every Day. I know Another Day came out, but that book was the same story told in the girl’s point of view. But there is going to be another one that continues with A’s story.
Oh, I had no idea there was going to be a third book! I just knew about Another Day and I had no interest whatsoever to read that. Thanks for letting me know!
The Knife of Never Letting Go is one of my all time favorites – the whole series, really! 🙂
Check out my TTT.
Every Day, Harry Potter, The Knife Of Never Letting Go, I Hunt Killers… I totally agree! I really want to read Shattered Blue and Dumplin’ as well; hopefully I will be able to get copies soon. And Maybe Someday is on my April TBR; fingers crossed I like it better than Ugly Love. 😉
I hope you can read Shattered Blue and Dumplin’ soon. 🙂 Hopefully you like Maybe Someday. There is a soundtrack/playlist that goes along with the book, which is neat.
