March 15: Ten Books On My Spring TBR.

Hi! πŸ™‚

I normally try to stay away from TBRs, because I tend to never stick with them. Instead I am going to list ten books that I own that I really want to read soon (or at some point this year). I feel too much pressure to stick to TBRs and it takes the fun out of reading for me, so I’ve been trying to stay away from making them. Anyway, onto the books!

Monsters of Men by Patrick Ness
Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard
Β Ruin & Rising by Leigh Bardugo
The Sword of Summer by Rick Riordan
More Happy Than Not by Adam Silvera

The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken
The Witch Hunter by Virginia Boecker
Vengeance Road by Erin Bowman
Library of Souls by Ransom Riggs
Illuminae by Amie Kaufman, Jay Kristoff

I actually own so many books and choosing ten that I really want to read soon wasΒ so hard. I’ve been pretty much just hoarding books for a year, lol. I have a ton of really great ones (hopefully) that I meant to read and never got around to doing so. They probably have layers and layers of dust on them. I also have those that I just really want to read and lots of series I need to finish. I actually want to try to make it a point this year to finish series I started and catch up on the recent books in those series if they aren’t complete yet.

What are some of the books on your Spring TBR? Have you read any of the ones on my list? Let me know and please feel free to link me to your posts, so I canΒ check them out!

I’ll have my California trip post up sometime this week. I still need to go through all my pictures and decide which ones to post. I took tons, so I don’t want to post every single one lol. Off to work for me!

I hope you have a good day!

  1. Of these I have read Illuminae and Ruin & Rising (which you already know how much I loved them) and also The Witch Hunter which was a bit of a disappointment. I also have Glass Sword on my list this week!

    • Illuminae and Ruin & Rising may be my next reads after I get these ARCs read. Ahhh, that sucks that The Witch Hunter was a disappointment for you 😦 I hope I like it.

  2. Some great choices! I LOVED Vengeance Road and The Witch Hunter. I didn’t really enjoy Illuminae, it was just okay, but it is definitely easy and the design of the book is great!

    Hope you enjoy these πŸ™‚

    • Vengeance Road was one of my most anticipated releases last year and I am sad I never got around to reading it. I can’t wait to read it. I love the design of Illuminae. I hope I like it! πŸ™‚

      • Vengeance Road took me a minute to get used to because it’s written in that southern/cowboy dialect – but definitely give it a chance, its a fun read.

  3. I am the same way – I hate making TBR lists because I never stick to them, and it’s too much pressure! But I had fun coming up with a list anyway. I probably won’t read most of them this spring. πŸ˜‰ Great list!! I hope you enjoy the ones you pick up. I’ve heard great things about Illuminae!

    • Anytime I have made a TBR I found myself in a reading slump, because I am not in the mood to read those books and then I feel guilty if I don’t. It’s fun to make the lists, but sticking to them is a different story HAHA. πŸ˜›

    • The Darkest Minds has been on my TBR forever now, haha. I think it’s time I finally read it! I’ve gotten so many books last year that books I’ve had for awhile just seemed to get forgotten lol.

  4. I thought for sure you would have read Glass Sword by now!! Once you read it we must discuss!! Have a great time making it through these books Ashley!

    • I read the first two chapters, but then put it down. I know I’ll love it just as much as Red Queen and I don’t want to wait another year for the next one haha. So I’ve been holding back from reading it. I’m definitely going to ASAP though as soon as I get these ARCs I was sent read.

  5. Oh man, I still have to finish the Grisha trilogy, I am so behind! I looked for Vengenace Road last week and the bookstore didn’t have it; second time I looked! Great list and happy reading! πŸ™‚

    • So far I have been enjoying the Grisha trilogy; although I didn’t like Siege and Storm as much as I did Shadow and Bone. Such a disappointment that your bookstore didn’t have Vengeance Road. I hope they get it soon! πŸ™‚

  6. Library of Souls was pretty good. Darker thant the previous books, and better than the second one. A few others here are on my TBR shelves for some future date. Or at least the first book so of it’s series is, in some cases… I hope your spring is filled with amazing reads!

    • It’s so hard to stick to them, because I tend up really wanting to read something else instead lol. At the time of making the TBR I am in the mood for them and then it just changes as the month goes on.
