November 9 by Colleen Hoover
4 out of 5 stars.

“When you find love, you take it. You grab it with both hands and you do everything in your power not to let it go. You can’t just walk away from it and expect it to linger until you’re ready for it.”

Goodreads Description: Fallon meets Ben, an aspiring novelist, the day before her scheduled cross-country move. Their untimely attraction leads them to spend Fallon’s last day in L.A. together, and her eventful life becomes the creative inspiration Ben has always sought for his novel. Over time and amidst the various relationships and tribulations of their own separate lives, they continue to meet on the same date every year. Until one day Fallon becomes unsure if Ben has been telling her the truth or fabricating a perfect reality for the sake of the ultimate plot twist.

I have this new obsession with Colleen Hoover and her books now. November 9 was such great book. I love the entire idea of Ben and Fallon meeting one day a year and having no communication in between. It was an interesting concept and I think it all played out well in the way that Colleen wrote this book. I also liked that it switched between the POV of Ben and Fallon. It was nice to get both sides and I fell in love with Ben instantly and wanted to see more of him! 😛

Fallon toward the beginning bugged me a bit, but she started to slowly grow on me. Another thing that bothered me was Colleen’s choice of words. Like throwing “instalove” and “TBR” into the book was a bit strange to me. It’s great seeing those things around the blogosphere and social media, but I didn’t think it was good for a book. One of my friend’s that read it pointed out that Colleen was trying to gear it more for bloggers, which I think is true. There were a couple times where I guessed what was going to happen, but other than these things it was a great book.

I loved that Miles and Tate were in this book! I loved Ugly Love so much and it was interesting how Miles, Tate, and Ian played a part. I was like “OMG” when I read the part with Miles and Tate and it all clicking with Ian. It was fun! There was also a pretty big twist and I never expected it. OMG was it insane! Overall, this book was pretty crazy, but mostly in the best way. It had me laughing and crying so much. I really loved it and I am a hardcore CoHo fan now. I can’t wait to read more of her books.

“Loving someone means accepting all the things and people that person loves, too.”

Have you read November 9? If so, what did you think? Let me know!

Sorry that I have been a little MIA this month. I have so much going on and things to figure out. I’m going to be going to California in three weeks and I have so much to do to prepare for it. I am reading all of your blog posts though, but I haven’t had the time to sit down and comment as much as I would like. Hopefully after this trip things will get back to normal for me and blogging!

I hope you have an amazing Monday!
