Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover
5 out of 5 stars.

“Love isn’t always pretty. Sometimes you spend all your time hoping it’ll eventually be something different. Something better. Then, before you know it, you’re back to square one, and you lost your heart somewhere along the way.”

Goodreads Description: When Tate Collins meets airline pilot Miles Archer, she knows it isn’t love at first sight. They wouldn’t even go so far as to consider themselves friends. The only thing Tate and Miles have in common is an undeniable mutual attraction. Once their desires are out in the open, they realize they have the perfect set-up. He doesn’t want love, she doesn’t have time for love, so that just leaves the sex. Their arrangement could be surprisingly seamless, as long as Tate can stick to the only two rules Miles has for her. Never ask about the past. Don’t expect a future. They think they can handle it, but realize almost immediately they can’t handle it at all. Hearts get infiltrated. Promises get broken. Rules get shattered. Love gets ugly.

I recently listened to the audiobook of Confess by Colleen Hoover and I really enjoyed it, so I decided to give another book of hers a chance and listened to the audiobook for Ugly Love.

Holy moly was this book amazing! End of review.

😛

Just kidding! But no really, this book was so so so good! I honestly don’t even know what to say about it other than I loved it so much! Can I please please please have a Miles? I fell in love with Miles probably more than Tate did, lol. Tate, I enjoyed her character but I do admit that she annoyed me a little bit. I also felt so bad for her too though, because you know…it couldn’t have been easy! Work, nursing school, a guy she may be falling in love with.

I don’t usually read a lot of new adult or romance novels, but I loved this one. This one was the perfect amount of it all! I love Colleen’s writing style and the way she wrote her characters were flawless. You could tell that Miles was troubled right off that bat, but I never expected the reason and it was a shocker.

The story is told from Miles’ perspective from six years earlier and Tate’s was told in the present. It was all so well written and it was so much fun to read even when it wasn’t fun at all. It was hard to put down. In my case, it was hard to stop the audiobook. It was hard to take my headphones out of my ears for the day.

My heart broke quite a few times while reading this book. Colleen broke it and put it back together over and over again. It was happy and oh man was it sad too. I was laughing and crying. If you don’t love roller coasters, then this book is not for you. You will be taken on a huge emotional roller coaster. Twists and turns and upside down.

I really don’t even know what else to say and this is all over the place, sorry! This is basically me fangirling about how much I loved this book, lol. This isn’t the greatest review, but I honestly have no idea what to even say about this book. I’ve seen a lot of hype and this time the book actually lived up to all the hype for me! I am finding that very rare for me lately.

I am now a CoHo fan without a doubt! I highly recommend Ugly Love to everyone! Strap in tight, because it’s going to be one ugly roller coaster ride.

“Ugly love becomes you. Consumes you. Makes you hate it all. Makes you realize that all the beautiful parts aren’t even worth it. Without the beautiful, you’ll never risk feeling the ugly. So you give it all up. You give it all up. You never want love again, no matter what kind it is, because no type of love will ever be worth living through the ugly love again.”

Have you read Ugly Love? If so, what did you think? Let me know!

I hope you have a great day!
