FRIDAY FINDS showcases the books you ‘found’ and added to your To Be Read (TBR) list… whether you found them online, or in a bookstore, or in the library — wherever! (they aren’t necessarily books you purchased). Hosted by A Daily Rhythm. *All linked to Goodreads*
Hi 🙂
It’s Friday again, yay! It was another one of those crazy busy weeks for me at work, but it helped with making the week go by fast. I also didn’t get very much reading done this week (so sad), because Jessica Jones has been taking over my life. This Netflix show is SOO good and I am not really a fan of Marvel, so that tells you something! It also has David Tennant in it and I love that man more than words, so there’s that. Warning: if you ever want to read a book again, do NOT watch Jessica Jones. But no, you totally should go watch Jessica Jones! 😛
Let’s talk about books though! I added tons of books to my TBR this week, but I am going to share with you ten of those tons. You can see more of my TBR list over on my Goodreads account over here and feel free to add me as a friend!
Every Exquisite Thing by Matthew Quick
Dreamology by Lucy Keating
The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August by Claire North
Everland by Wendy Spinale
Black Five by J. Lynn Bailey
These Vicious Masks by Tarun Shanker
Rebel of the Sands by Alwyn Hamilton
The Way I Used To Be by Amber Smith
Demon Road by Derek Landy
Asleep by Krystal Wade
All of these sound quite amazing and interesting. I am digging the book covers for them all as well! Have you seen A Christmas Story? You know, Red Ryder BB gun, you’ll shoot your eye out kid? Sure you have, it only plays for 24 hours on Christmas. I’m sure you caught a glimpse about a hundred times in your lifetime so far. 😛
What I want for Christmas…
I want an official Red Ryder, carbine action, two-hundred shot range model air rifle! Ohhhh fuuudge! JUST KIDDING, more like all the money in the world, so I can buy all of these beautiful books.
Have you added any new books to your TBR this week? Let me know and link me to your posts!
I’ll be posting my day two of the Christmas blogging challenge later today. Two blog posts from me in one day, that’s my little early Christmas gift to you! 😛
I hope you have an amazing Friday!
Haha I love your Christmas Story quotes. Such a hilarious movie! All of those books you added look awesome. I especially love the cover for Rebel of the Sands.
So, how are you feeling towards David Tennant right now? 😛
He’s so crazy, but I LOVE HIM so much in this show, haha. 😉
He’s kind of perfect at being bad. And he uses his Doctor Voice to do Kilgrave and that just gives me the chills =/
I just finished episode seven earlier today and it was sooo good! He can definitely be pretty scary in this show at times! I’m obsessed haha.
good!!! There’s one point when he says “WELL” in that 10th Doctor accent, and I almost lost my sh**, I mean, come on, don’t do that to my heart!
I believe that happened in this last episode I watched and I was like “yep that’s his Doctor voice”. The boyfriend said maybe this is the other dimension where Rose and the other Ten went. LOL.
i don’t know, but it’s creepy, because Kilgrave looks and sounds like a deranged version of the 10th Doctor.
He does! And I think that is what is making me slightly fall in love with him. Haha.
ohhh, that’s a problem! Remember: Kilgrave is not nice! 😛
Yeah, he is not nice, but he’s also kind of cool. 😛 Did you ever watch Broadchurch with him in it? I liked him in that, but I LOVE him as Kilgrave! He actually makes a pretty awesome creepy villain!
oh, yeah, I love Broadchurch, LOVE IT. But there he doesn’t look like the Doctor, so I dissociate it easily. Here he’s a fantastic villain who looks and sounds too much like my favorite Doctor ever… (and one of my biggest celebrity crushes)
I love Broadchurch so much too, haha. Yeah, he didn’t look like the Doctor in that show. He was my favorite Doctor ever as well. Although, Peter Capaldi is high up there now. I love him!
I have to be super attentive while watching Boradchurch because David’s accent is so thick, lol, but so gorgeous. I like Capaldi too, though I still haven’t watched this last season, I was a bit disappointed by the last one, but I want to binge watch it soon
When I watched the first season of Broadchurch on Netflix, I had to use the subtitles lol. He does have a thick accent in it. I had to really pay attention in the second, because I watched it live when they aired it on TV. It was hard for me to get into the season with Capaldi, but I swear I love that man almost as much as Tennant now. Hopefully you can catch up with the newest season. It ended last weekend I believe. I know that River is back for the Christmas special!
Lol, I think I would have done better with subtitle… I had to rewind it sometimes, lol. I’ll catch up during Christmas break, because I’m curious about River in the Christmas special 😀
Me too! I’m excited to see how this Christmas special plays out with her in it! 🙂
me too. I love River, I just hope that they do her justice
Yay for Everland and The Way I Used To Be duplicates! 😉 And I really enjoyed Matthew Quick’s Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock, so I’m definitely going to add his new novel to my wishlist. I hope you have a great weekend! 😀
Happy reading to you!! Here’s my link to Friday Finds this week: http://captivatedreader.blogspot.com/2015/12/friday-finds-104.html

SO many of these books I just recently added to my TBR thanks to fellow bloggers’ Top Ten Tuesday posts! 😀 So great choices!
Also, I just started Jessica Jones as well! But about 2 episodes in my husband started watching it with me which means now I have to wait for him to continue since he wants to know what happens haha. Otherwise, I totally would have binge watched it 😀
Here are my Friday Finds!
