Firsts by Laurie Elizabeth Flynn
3 out of 5 stars.

Expected publication: January 5th 2016 by St. Martin’s Griffin

Goodreads Description: Seventeen-year-old Mercedes Ayres has an open-door policy when it comes to her bedroom, but only if the guy fulfills a specific criteria: he has to be a virgin. Mercedes lets the boys get their awkward, fumbling first times over with, and all she asks in return is that they give their girlfriends the perfect first time- the kind Mercedes never had herself. Keeping what goes on in her bedroom a secret has been easy- so far. Her absentee mother isn’t home nearly enough to know about Mercedes’ extracurricular activities, and her uber-religious best friend, Angela, won’t even say the word “sex” until she gets married. But Mercedes doesn’t bank on Angela’s boyfriend finding out about her services and wanting a turn- or on Zach, who likes her for who she is instead of what she can do in bed. When Mercedes’ perfect system falls apart, she has to find a way to salvage her reputation and figure out where her heart really belongs in the process. Funny, smart, and true-to-life, FIRSTS is a one-of-a-kind young adult novel about growing up.

“It’s scary not knowing what comes next. But not knowing might also be the best part.”

I was given an opportunity by the publisher via NetGalley to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

The description of Firsts sounded really interesting, so I knew I wanted to check it out. Honestly, at first I really wasn’t sure why it was categorized as YA. There was a lot of talk about sex (which I’m sure you can tell just by the description), so that made me question it. I guess because Mercy was 17 and still in high school. It kind of seemed a little unrealistic at times, because really, what teenage girl in high school is having sex with 14 different guys? Maybe high school has changed since I’ve been there.

Anyway! There was some bullying and shaming in this book and that really made me angry and sad for Mercy. You can tell right off the bat that she was going through her own issues and that was a big part of the reason why she decided to sleep with all of these virgins in her school. That was obvious from the start, but you don’t find out exactly what happened until closer to the end of the book. The bullying and shaming was very much realistic and I’m sure happens every day in high school still. A lot of teenagers may be able to relate to that.

There were a few times that I thought the book was going to end, but another chapter started again. It could have properly ended a few times, so I think it went on a little longer than it had to. There were times that I really did enjoy this book though and it was pretty easy to read. I really loved that Mercy had some pretty amazing friends. She probably wouldn’t have gotten through everything without them. I really liked Mercy herself as well and she was a pretty strong person.

Overall, I did enjoy it for the most part. It could have been better and it was a bit weird at times. It was interesting and different, so I definitely give it that. If you’re not really into reading about sex, then this book isn’t for you. It’s not too bad on that front, but it is mentioned quite a bit (which is to be expected) and sometimes there are some detail, but not super crazy with it.

Have you read Firsts? If so, what did you think? If not, do you think you will? Let me know! 🙂

I’ll be posting my December recap and my 2015 end of survey on my blog soon, so be on the look out for those posts! 🙂

I hope you have a happy New Year!

Book Haul||December & LOTS MORE!

img_6971

Hi!

My first attempt at my December book haul post was a fail, because WordPress decided it would be fun to delete EVERYTHING I wrote and not save, sigh. I got quite a bit of books throughout the month of December, but happy to say that I didn’t spend too much money! I’ll get straight into the book haul.

Amazon.

The Man in the High Castle by Philip K. Dick
Shattered Blue by Lauren Bird Horowitz

I bought the boyfriend The Man in the High Castle, but I will eventually read that one myself. I heard it’s really good and Amazon made a series out of it! Lauren (author of Shattered Blue) was nice enough to sign my copy of Shattered Blue for me! I love her so much, she’s so fun to talk to and her book was SOOO good. Forever recommend it! I plan to do a reread next month! She sent along some bookmarks and posters as well! A little surprise from Ninja (her dog) to my furbabies was a new beaver toy for Dax and catnip (with toy inside) for ColbyJack! That was so cute and thoughtful for Lauren to include them! They love the toys!

Book Outlet.

So I went a little bit book buying crazy on Book Outlet this month and ended up placing two pretty decent sized orders. One was actually purchased on black Friday, but I didn’t receive until the first week of December. That is the following books:

Far Far Away by Tom McNeal
Conversion by Katherine Howe
Lock In by John Scalzi
Etiquette & Espionage by Gail Carriger
Living Dead Girl by Elizabeth Scott
Love Fortunes and Other Disasters by Kimberly Karalius
The Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot
The Summer I Turned Pretty by Jenny Han
Love and Other Perishable Items by Laura Buzo

My second Book Outlet purchase was because they had this little thing going on that if you spent $35 or more, you get a free Book Outlet bear. I NEEDED THAT BEAR! They also had the Jasper Dent series in hardcover, so that made it a little easier for me to finally click “check out”. It’s my new favorite series, so I needed to own the hardcovers! Here are the books from that purchase:

I Hunt Killers by Barry Lyga
Game by Barry Lyga
Blood of My Blood by Barry Lyga
Sisters Red by Jackson Pearce
Anything but Typical by Nora Raleigh Baskin
Freakboy by Kristin Elizabeth Clark
Twenty Boy Summer by Sarah Ockler
Ten by Gretchen McNeil

Christmas & OwlCrate.

My new bestie, Shelbie from Lu-Lu’s Rants & Reads sent me an awesome Christmas package this month, which of course contained some books I really wanted! I was so stoked to get it and even more stoked for her to get hers from me! Besides the books below, it also had lots of socks (love socks), Supernatural magnet, nail polish, and a home library kit (which is so cool).

img_6042

Uglies by Scott Westerfeld
Pretties by Scott Westerfeld
Specials by Scott Westerfeld
Shattering Glass by Gail Giles

The boyfriend got me a couple books for Christmas this year, which I was so excited about. It was two that I really wanted, so that was exciting! Here are the books that he got me for Christmas.

The Accident Season by Moira Fowley-Doyle
Cut Both Ways by Carrie Mesrobian

He also got me three different Doctor Who Funkos (TARDIS, Fourth Doctor, and the Evolving Dalek Sec. I was so excited to get the evolving Dalek, because I really wanted that one so bad! He also got me socks. PS: The Doctor Who Christmas special was SOO good!

img_6906

My December OwlCrate was pretty awesome this month! I haven’t really been let down from their monthly boxes though, so that’s a plus! Here is my OwlCrate and a list of the things that I received inside! The theme was: Get Inspired.

img_6584-1

Da Vinci’s Tiger by L.M. Elliott

I have never heard of this book, but it sounds pretty interesting. The book came with little magnets with words on them, so that’ll be fun to create my own little sentences or as they said “poems”. The other things included were:

+ A “to do list” notepad from Boy Girl Party.
+ A candle from Frostbeard & it smells amazing!
+ A magnet from Sandra Vargas.
+ There was a little reading journal, which you put down the book you read and your thoughts on it. I thought that was cute. It also has quotes inside. I think mine is the one from Penguin. There was two options.

E-Books.

I may have went a little crazy with e-book buying again. I mean, it really could have been worse…I think. I tried not to look too hard this month for e-books. I guess I still got quite a bit though. I didn’t pay over $2.99 for these at the time except for one. So good deals! A few of these I may have gotten last month, but not sure if I included in past book haul posts. Here there are:

Court of Fives by Kate Elliott
The Bookseller by Cynthia Swanson
The Bureau of Time by Brett Michael Orr
Things We Know by Heart by Jessi Kirby
Kissing in America by Margo Rabb
Legacy of Kings by Eleanor Herman

These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman
The Darkest Part of the Forest by Holly Black
The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater
On the Fence by Kasie West
Liars, Inc. by Paula Stokes
Relentless by Karen Lynch

Misc. Things & More Christmas.

Cute bookmarks from Happy Hello Art. HELLO TACO CAT! “The Book is Always Better!” has Harry Potter, Katniss, and Hazel & Augustus Waters on it! I couldn’t pass up getting Clark Griswold when I seen him.

For Christmas I also got some new TOMS from my mom, Emoji pillows (the laughing crying one and the poop one) from my younger sister and aunt. I also got a bracelet from my older sister.

If you got through this entire post, then you’re amazing! Seriously, so amazing! December was a pretty good month as far as getting books and other little goodies along the way! I hope you all had an amazing Christmas and holiday! Feel free to link me to all of your book haul posts or Chrismas haul posts! I would love to see everything! 😀

Merry Christmas Eve!

145097039522732

HI! 🙂

I am so excited that it’s Christmas Eve and can’t wait for Christmas tomorrow! I want everyone to see the gifts I got them! That’s always my favorite part! I wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! I also figured why not do a picture post while I am at it!

Last weekend we drove to my cousin’s house for her family Christmas party that she hosts every year. We went the night before, so we can have more time spending with everyone and also to help out on all the cooking! The Christmas party was a success! Everyone had a blast! There was so much yummy food (which I hate that I didn’t take pictures of!), games, prizes and presents. I won lots of DVDs! Kicked butt on Christmas trivia!

Sunrise & Sunset.

Christmas lights. 😀 These were at the park across the street from my cousin’s house.

We made homemade noodles and cookies!

Canal across the street from her and cows on the drive home!

She had a little craft section for the kids, but the adults were doing the crafts while the kids decided to be at the park. I made Santa. 😛

img_6320

And below are just some random pictures that I took over the last week or two. Christmas book themed pictures, of course! I also just really love Christmas lights.

I went to the flea market with the family and they had one of those fortune teller guys, so I got one and this is the Christmas tree from there. Also some awesome pulled pork from one of the restaurants there.

Forever obsessed with socks. My reindeer ones on the right are the ones that I am currently wearing today. I did #socksunday for Lauren (author of Shattered Blue).

My dudes. Dax & ColbyJack.

And then me! 😛 Oh and ColbyJack chillin in a box, of course! He was so stoked about that huge box I got from Amazon. Chilled in that everyday until I threw it away. Poor guy.

That is all for this post! I hope you enjoyed it! I will be having my December book haul post up after Christmas! I’m just waiting on my OwlCrate to come (which is being delivered today)! I already have it all typed out (if WordPress doesn’t eat it again!).

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas Eve! I might be MIA until after Christmas as well. Lots of things to do today as far as Christmas Eve dinner goes and then of course Christmas. The boyfriend is making the dinner today, so I will probably be helping him and doing last minute Christmas stuff!

Have a great day! Merry Christmas! Happy Holidays! ❤

Hey!

I’ve been kind of busy and just forgot about the 12 Days of Christmas Blogging challenge, oops! I’ll post the last two days in this same post!

Day 11: What was your favorite childhood Christmas present.

I received tons of toys that I loved when I was a child. Here are a few of my favorite ones that I loved the most.

I had the black Furby, which at the time my dad told me was a rare one to find. I had a pink Talkboy, which was so fun! I used to record tapes all the time. And the Hit Clips. I had so many of those little clips and I think the O-Town one was my favorite, haha. I miss those toys! I also really loved Tamagotchi too! I think I still have a couple of those laying around my house.

Day 12: What are you grateful for this Christmas?

There are so many things for me to be grateful for! I’m going to throw this out there and first say that I am grateful I am finished with my Christmas shopping. I swear it was the biggest source of stress for me this month and part of why I just completely checked out with doing anything at all. I was so stressed about Christmas and what to get everyone that I just couldn’t even focus to do any reading or anything. I just played games or watched movies.

I am grateful for my family and my furbabies. They always brighten my day even when this month was a complete mess for me. I am grateful for my bosses, because they completely saved Christmas for me this year. I’m grateful that some of my family from Illinois were able to come down and spend Christmas with us. We had an awesome family Christmas party and I’m sure Christmas day will be great too! I’m just grateful for everything and YOU GUYS! It hasn’t been the best year for me at all, but I still have lots to be grateful for regardless.

That is all for this challenge! It was so fun sharing all the things I love about Christmas. I really enjoy this holiday so much even if this month was super stressful. I am so ready to start a new year and crossing my fingers for a better one! 😀 I am kind of also glad that Christmas is almost here and gone, because I really need to get back into reading. I haven’t done the most reading this month, sigh.

I gotta get to work! I hope you have a great day! ❤

Top Ten Tuesday||Books I want from Santa.

Top Ten Books I Wouldn’t Mind Santa Leaving Under My Tree This Year.

Hi! 🙂

How about ALL THE BOOKS, Santa!? There are so many books that I really want both new and old. Here are some of the ones that I would love for Santa to leave under my Christmas tree this year.

Paperweight by Meg Haston
Reawakened by Colleen Houck
Rebel Mechanics by Shanna Swendson
Forget Tomorrow by Pintip Dunn
Willful Machines by Tim Floreen

Zeroes by Scott Westerfeld
Cut Both Ways by Carrie Mesrobian
Blood and Salt by Kim Leggett
It’s a Wonderful Death by Sarah J. Schmitt
Truest by Jackie Lea Sommers

I am pretty in love with all of these book covers too. If Santa can just bring me all of these books, then I would be one happy girl on Christmas! Even some Amazon gift cards wouldn’t hurt. 😛

And because I was extra good this year; feel free to throw in the Harry Potter Coloring Book, Santa!

What are some of the books that you hope Santa will leave under your tree? Let me know and link me to your posts!

It’s a short week for me, so no work on Friday! 😀 I think I will be having a picture post coming soon! I have lots of pictures to share with you all! So be on the look out for that. I am currently in the middle of reading Cress (yes still, sadly) and Firsts by Laurie Elizabeth Flynn (an eARC). I am hoping to get these both done before the month is over! So expect a review on Firsts to come! 🙂

I hope you have an amazing Tuesday! ❤

Hi,

So I skipped a day, because I was out of town for the family Christmas party! That was a lot of fun and always exciting! 🙂 I do have a weekend of blog posts to read and a couple to write up myself. For this challenge though, I’ll do day nine and ten together.

Day Nine: Who will be sitting with you for Christmas dinner?

It’s usually my mom, my aunt, my older sister, my younger sister, my niece, my nephew, and my boyfriend at Christmas dinner. Sometimes my mom and aunt’s friend John will come to our holiday dinners as well. This year though, we have family visiting for Christmas. So it’ll be all of us (listed above) and then my brother, his wife, and their three kids. It’ll be one packed Christmas dinner this year! It’ll be fun though, because we were all at the family Christmas party my cousin Michelle was hosting and that was so much fun!

Day Ten: Favorite Christmas movie or song.

I love a lot of Christmas songs, but for the life of me I cannot think of any of the names, lol. So we’ll go with favorite movie. I have a lot of favorite movies, so I will list them all. You may have already seen this list before in another post, but it doesn’t hurt to share twice. 😀

homealone2jingleallthewayelfthesantaclause

  • Home Alone 2: Lost in New York
  • Jingle All the Way
  • Elf
  • The Santa Clause
  • A Christmas Story
  • National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation
  • How the Grinch Stole Christmas (cartoon one)
  • A Charlie Brown Christmas

achristmasstorychristmasvacationgrinchcharliebrownchristmas

So far this month I have watched Elf, Christmas Vacation, and How the Grinch Stole Christmas. I’ll probably watch The Santa Clause tonight while I am wrapping up some Christmas presents and possibly Jingle All the Way too, because that is definitely my top one out of all of these. The boyfriend bought it for my for Christmas last year and then let me have it early since I kept missing it on TV that year.

Who do you spend Christmas dinner with? What are your favorite Christmas movies and songs? Let me know! 😀

I hope you have an amazing Sunday! ❤

Day Eight: Share a local Christmas tradition in your town or country.

I moved to my current town about four years ago and I don’t know too many things that they have going on for Christmas. I know at the beach they have a parade called the Candy Cane Parade. I live pretty much walking distance to the beach and this beach has a little strip of bars and restaurants and then across the little strip is the actual sand and ocean. Every year they have this parade on the strip, which is always cool.

There are tons of Christmas floats, decorated cars, marching bands, etc. Of course at the end of the parade comes Santa! Everyone that is participating in the parade throws out candy canes for all the kids to collect. Who doesn’t love candy canes!? 😀 It’s always fun seeing all the deocrated cars and floats. It’s always so colorful and it’s awesome that it’s right on the beach. I’ve gone a couple times to the parade and enjoyed it the times I’ve gone.

What is a Christmas tradition in your town?

So stoked that it’s almost the weekend! I am off to stay with my cousin tonight and Saturday is the family Christmas party! Some family from Illinois came down, so there will be even more people than last year! Sorry for the lack of bookish posts. I promise to get back into those soon! It’s been a crazy month for me. December usually always is, especially at my work and the fact that I have been so stressed out over Christmas this year! I haven’t been reading as much as I hoped I would. I will hoping finish two books from my TBR before the month ends though.

Day Seven. – Christmas pictures from over the years.

I hope you have a great Friday! ❤

Day Seven: A photo day, share some Christmas pictures past or present.

I wasn’t able to find lots of pictures of Christmas over the years, besides mostly my decorating over the year. LOL. I love decorating for Christmas, which I have said so many times already! WARNING: Christmas tree heavy! Here you go! 😀

Christmas 2011.

That year were were in a tiny apartment, so we had a super tiny tree!
There’s the boyfriend and Santa Dax! 😛

xmas2011 (2)xmas2011 (1)

Christmas 2012.

We upgraded to a bigger tree! I also had three Christmas trees in my living room that year, haha. Four if you count the picture of a tree on the wall that you can’t see. I love Christmas trees!

xmas2012xmas2012 (2)

Christmas 2013.

We had a pink mini Christmas tree that year and that’s the year we got ColbyJack! Awww, little baby Colby! 😀
That’s my niece and nephew decorating my mom’s Christmas tree that year.
And ColbyJack and Dax messing with the Christmas tree, of course!

Christmas 2014.

Oh, hey! I was Santa Claus this Christmas. HAHAHA. This was fun and totally random. I think I make a good Santa, what do you think? The furbabies love Christmas trees too. Dax with my mom’s tree and Colby with ours.

Christmas 2015.

I’ve shared quite a few Christmas pictures from this year already over here, so feel free to check those out! Here is a really cute one of ColbyJack and my Christmas setup right now.

I am such a fan of Christmas, especially the decorating (obviously)! I really can’t believe Christmas is next week! This must be some kind of joke! 😛 This month flew by!

I hope you enjoyed the pictures! Feel free to check out some of my other recent posts linked down below! 🙂

Day Six: Share a fond childhood Christmas memory.

I have such a horrible memory, especially with remembering childhood things. Let’s see if I can remember anything! I don’t remember too many actual Christmases, but when I was a kid from when I was a baby until after 2nd grade I used to live in Illinois. We actually kind of lived on a park (South Island Park in Wilmington IL). There was a huge hill (which our house was on top of it) and then it was the park. Our backyard was basically the park, which was awesome.

Anyway, our house was on this huge hill and when it snowed it would be covered in it. So we had the perfect sledding area! It was always so much fun sledding. I can’t remember the last time I’ve gone sledding, sigh. We also built snowmen at the end of the hill. I remember my dad had this awesome idea of putting food coloring in water spray bottles with water. After we would build the snowmen, we would spray them with the colored water and we would have colorful snowmen. They always turned out awesome.

What is one of your childhood Christmas memories?

Thoughts||Anatomy of a Misfit.

18340210.jpg

Anatomy of a Misfit by Andrea Portes
3 out of 5 stars.

“It’s one of those dumb days where nothing’s really wrong but nothing’s really right either and the sky can’t even choose to be white or gray.”

Goodreads Description: Fall’s buzzed-about, in-house favorite. Outside, Anika Dragomir is all lip gloss and blond hair—the third most popular girl in school. Inside, she’s a freak: a mix of dark thoughts, diabolical plots, and, if local chatter is to be believed, vampire DNA (after all, her father is Romanian). But she keeps it under wraps to maintain her social position. One step out of line and Becky Vilhauer, first most popular girl in school, will make her life hell. So when former loner Logan McDonough shows up one September hotter, smarter, and more mysterious than ever, Anika knows she can’t get involved. It would be insane to throw away her social safety for a nerd. So what if that nerd is now a black-leather-jacket-wearing dreamboat, and his loner status is clearly the result of his troubled home life? Who cares if the right girl could help him with all that, maybe even save him from it? Who needs him when Jared Kline, the bad boy every girl dreams of, is asking her on dates? Who?

It took me a little while to think of a proper rating for this book, because there were a lot of things I didn’t like about it. The synopsis sounded promising enough, so I decided to give it a chance.

I really wasn’t an Anika fan and she seemed a bit annoying. I also didn’t like the way she (and other kids) used the word “gay” and “queer” in the story. For example, they would call things they didn’t like gay. That irked me so much. In the beginning of the book they did it so much that I almost didn’t finish it. Aside from not liking Anika (and some of the other characters) and their use of those words, I still continued with the book.

It had it’s fun moments and there were times I did enjoy it. I really liked both Logan and Jared, so with the whole love triangle going on it was hard to say who I was rooting for at first. In the end, I was definitely rooting for Logan! Anika really annoyed me in the fact that she felt her social status was way more important than being with Logan who she really liked.

The ending was strange, so strange. I honestly did not expect it at all. If someone asked me to make a list of possible endings for this book, I would have NEVER thought about the one it had. I wanted it to end so differently. Overall, I did enjoy it aside from the things I really didn’t like. It probably could have been written a little better, but it was a pretty okay read. It wasn’t horrible, but it wasn’t the best.

“Ceaseless.
Almost too much for this small frame.
You make me part of the sky.”

Have you read this book? If so, what did you think?

I hope you have a great day! ❤

Day Five: What is on your personal wish list this year?

I don’t usually ask for gifts on Christmas. I haven’t since I got older. It’s so hard trying to think about what I want for Christmas, when I usually just buy what I want throughout the year. I mainly ask for books and gift cards, which usually means Amazon gift cards and I buy my own books, lol. I also usually ask for anything Doctor Who and Supernatural related.

There were two other things that I did ask for this year though. Those things being a new bed set (sheets, comforter, pillow cases).  I also seen this thing on Shark Tank (I love that show so much) called a Simply Fit Board, so I asked for that. I am horrible with exercising and eating good, so this little exercise equipment thing looked fun and easy. I could totally watch my favorite TV shows and do it at the same time, haha.

They have videos and stuff on their website, but this is pretty much what it is.

4 boards black2

I don’t really ask or expect much, because honestly, I like giving gifts more than receiving them. I usually already have the things that I want and it’s always fun for me picking out gifts for other people. It’s kind of like a game, plus I really love wrapping presents, haha. 🙂

What are things on your Christmas wishlist? Let me know! 🙂

Top Ten Best Books I Read In 2015.

Hi!

I have read and listened to so many books this year, which has been so exciting! I’m really excited to share with you ten of my favorite books that I read in 2015. It wasn’t easy picking just ten!

ihuntkillerstheknifeofsimonvs2595360322328546

I Hunt Killers by Barry Lyga – Actually, the entire series! It’s one of my top favorites now. There was never a dull moment and it was pretty intense! The things that happened were crazy and so unpredictable. So many OMG moments.

The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness – Words can’t even explain how much I loved this book. It broke my heart into a million pieces and I still haven’t put it completely together again. I can’t wait to finish the series next year.

Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli – Simon ❤ I don’t even I ever stopped smiling while reading this book. Becky did such an amazing job with writing it. I still thinking about Simon and Blue all the time.

Shattered Blue by Lauren Bird Horowitz – Lauren is my girl! Love her! I also loved her book so much. It was so hard to put down and there were so many twists and things going on. There is also some awesome poetry as well! A whole new take on the Fae! I still can’t get over the ending and I can’t wait to see more from Lauren!

Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard – Red Queen was so fantastic! I couldn’t put into words how much I liked it. I had to use gifs in my review of this book. I wasn’t expecting any of the things that happened in this book and it was exciting. I am dying for the next one!

dumplineverythingeverything115002171766141618525657

Dumplin’ by Julie Murphy – HIGH FIVE for Julie! Willowdean will forever be engraved in my mind and heart forever. I enjoyed this book so much and it really got me thinking about myself. Forever rooting for Willow!

Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon – The cutest book ever. Seriously, it’s so cute I can’t stand it! 😛 I loved everything about this book. Everything, Everything was in fact everything!

Angelfall by Susan Ee – Actually, the entire series for this one as well! Susan Ee is amazing, end of story. This series was amazing! From beginning to end. It also had it’s creepy factor, which was awesome! So different from anything I’ve read.

Made You Up by Francesca Zappia – Magic Eight ball, is this book amazing? WITHOUT A DOUBT! I flew threw this book, because it was that good. It was hard to get back to normal life when reading this book. So well written, love the characters, loved everything about it really.

Broken Hearts, Fences, and Other Things to Mend by Katie Finn – I also loved the second book and novella in this series as well. Broken Hearts was so fun to read. Lots of surprises, lots of laughs, and lots of “OMG”. The ending was a total shocker. I can’t wait for the last book in the series. You Morgan Matson fans might love this since Katie Finn IS Morgan Matson. 😛

I hope you have a great day!

Day Four: Share a Christmas story or write one of your own.

I am not very good at writing stories of my own and I’m not sure if I have any good Christmas stories to share. Let’s see if I can come up with something. Mom, if you are reading this, SORRY!

There was one year where all the adults went out and left my younger sister, myself, and two of my cousins at home. It was around Christmas time. They had already wrapped a lot of the presents and put them under the Christmas tree. That year I asked for the Napoleon Dynamite DVD. If you’re not sure what that is, here is the DVD cover.

napoleondynamite

I knew my mom got it for me, so we decided to carefully open the DVD and watch it. The movie was so hilarious and it became one of my favorites. It’s been such a long time since I have watched it. After we finished the movie, we wrapped it back up and put it under the Christmas tree. I made sure the DVD was the first thing I opened on Christmas, haha.

What is a Christmas story that you have? Let me know!

Feel free to take part it in this blog challenge too and link me to your posts, so I can see all the things you love about Christmas! 🙂 Linked down below are the other days I have done in this challenge and another recent post that I’ve done! 🙂

Day Three: Your favorite Christmas recipe/food.

One of my favorite things about Christmas is of course the yummy food and the pie! My mom usually makes all the food for Christmas dinner, which is usually what we have for Thanksgiving as well. I LOVE THAT, because her Thanksgiving food is the best. Also, I don’t always have Thanksgiving with her, so it’s nice that I get to still enjoy the food at Christmas time!

I am a huge fan of deviled eggs and I do believe that my mom and I are the only ones in the family that eats them, so she really makes them for me! Me trying to help her make them is always a bad idea, because I probably eat a ton of them before we’re done. Haha. For those of you that do not know what deviled eggs are, here is a picture.

deviled-eggs1
**not my picture, taken from Google**

Another thing that my mom makes that I love so much is ham roll ups. Me helping her make those is always a fail too, because again I eat more than I make. HAHA. I couldn’t find a picture that I liked on Google, so you’ll have to use your imagination. It’s pretty much ham and cream cheese. You spread the cream cheese on the ham and roll it up! Then  you can cut it in little pieces with toothpicks sticking out of them. SO GOOD!

What is some your favorite Christmas recipes/food? Let me know!

I am really enjoying this Christmas blogging challenge! Feel free to take part it in too and link me to your posts, so I can see all the things you love about Christmas! 🙂 Linked down below are my first two days of this challenge.

2016 Read My Books Challenge.

2016readmybooks

Hello! 🙂

One of my favorite bloggers, Maren from The Worn Bookmark, came up with this pretty awesome book challenge to read the books you already have on your shelves. I know that I went book buying crazy this year and so many of them are now collecting dust. Tons of them were some of my highly anticipated books of the year! Sigh. I also used the library a lot more this year as well. I want to tackle some of these older books and that is where the 2016 Read My Books Challenge comes into play!

The Rules:

  • Count up your unread books (whether physical, Kindle, ebook, audiobook, etc) and decide on how many you of those books you want to read in 2016.  You can make a list and include that in your sign-up post or you can just include the number.  I chose to create a page on my blog that has my entire physical book collection with the titles read bolded to help me keep track.
  • Create your sign-up post with your total number unread and the number that you want to accomplish reading in 2016 and link to it Maren’s sign-up link. Sign-ups are open until January 10 @ 9 am CST.
  • When (if) you do your monthly review posts, add a line to show your progress and link up your posts to Maren’s 2016 RMHLC monthly update posts.
  • Optional: As you’re reading books for this challenge, feel free to use the hashtag #2016readmybooks on Twitter and Instagram to share the books you are reading.

Sounds simple enough! I will be linking Maren’s page down below and it has the above rules as well as the sign-up link! There will also be an International giveaway (13 chances to win!) at the end of the year for $30 USD to Book Depository as long as they ship to your country! So please feel free to join in on the challenge! Here is the link to Maren’s challenge page!

My Challenge:

For my 2016 challenge I am going to choose 30 books to read by the end of 2016. That way I can still read others as well! You don’t have to make a TBR for the challenge (unless you want to, of course), so have fun with it and read whatever you like! I thought about choosing the books beforehand, but I will be updating my TBR jar at the end of the year and using that for a lot of this challenge. I think I will make a second TBR jar in 2016 for the books I buy in 2016, so I can get my older books read for this challenge as well as some of those newer books! I will be doing both Kindle books and physical books. I made pages on my blog for all the books that I own. I’ll link you to those pages below.

Here is my official count and goal for the 2016 Read My Books Challenge!
464 books (owned – physical & e-book)
327 books are unread.
30 books is my goal for 2016.

You can check out the books I own linked down below and linked on my blog main page next to my “about me” page.
Kindle e-books.
Physical books.

I hope to see you participating! 😀

Hi! I am back for day two of the 12 days of Christmas blogging challenge! I’ll link at the end of this post to my first day, so you can check that out if you missed it or just curious what my favorite things about Christmas are!

Day Two: Favorite Christmas tradition new or old.

I don’t really have too many Christmas traditions, to be honest. I do like to watch certain Christmas movies every single year, which I listed in another blog post. I’ll save the movie talk for the movie topic though!

I do enjoy driving around different neighborhoods and looking at everyone’s Christmas lights that they decorated their homes with. It’s always so fun seeing how creative everyone can get, especially with Christmas lights! I love seeing the houses that go all out and crazy with it. I know there are a few TV shows that airs throughout the month of December just solely about houses that are decorated with so many lights and decorations.

I don’t think I could personally ever be as creative as some of those people out there with thousands and thousands of lights on their houses. Or the ones that the lights “dance” to Christmas themed music. It can get pretty intense, but so cool. I remember in Cape Coral where I used to live they had (I think still do) this event going on that shows people’s boats all decked out in Christmas lights and holiday decorations. The boats would parade around the water with all their lights and that was fun!

So one of my Christmas traditions is driving (or walking too) around neighborhoods just looking at Christmas decorations. I love the colors, the decorations, and it’s just plain fun! 😀

If you click the picture, then it’ll take you to a website showcasing six other houses just like this one below!

What is one of your favorite Christmas traditions? Let me know!

Feel free to do this tag and link me to your posts! I would love to see everyone’s 12 days of Christmas blogging posts! As promised, linked down below is my day one of this Christmas blogging challenge and also my Friday Finds post that I did earlier today of the books that I added to my TBR this week. 🙂

Friday Finds #40.

fridayfindspinkpattern

FRIDAY FINDS showcases the books you ‘found’ and added to your To Be Read (TBR) list… whether you found them online, or in a bookstore, or in the library — wherever! (they aren’t necessarily books you purchased). Hosted by A Daily Rhythm*All linked to Goodreads*

Hi 🙂

It’s Friday again, yay! It was another one of those crazy busy weeks for me at work, but it helped with making the week go by fast. I also didn’t get very much reading done this week (so sad), because Jessica Jones has been taking over my life. This Netflix show is SOO good and I am not really a fan of Marvel, so that tells you something! It also has David Tennant in it and I love that man more than words, so there’s that. Warning: if you ever want to read a book again, do NOT watch Jessica Jones. But no, you totally should go watch Jessica Jones! 😛

Let’s talk about books though! I added tons of books to my TBR this week, but I am going to share with you ten of those tons. You can see more of my TBR list over on my Goodreads account over here and feel free to add me as a friend!

Every Exquisite Thing by Matthew Quick
Dreamology by Lucy Keating
The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August by Claire North
Everland by Wendy Spinale
Black Five by J. Lynn Bailey

These Vicious Masks by Tarun Shanker
Rebel of the Sands by Alwyn Hamilton
The Way I Used To Be by Amber Smith
Demon Road by Derek Landy
Asleep by Krystal Wade

All of these sound quite amazing and interesting. I am digging the book covers for them all as well! Have you seen A Christmas Story? You know, Red Ryder BB gun, you’ll shoot your eye out kid? Sure you have, it only plays for 24 hours on Christmas. I’m sure you caught a glimpse about a hundred times in your lifetime so far. 😛

whatiwantforchristmas

What I want for Christmas…

I want an official Red Ryder, carbine action, two-hundred shot range model air rifle! Ohhhh fuuudge! JUST KIDDING, more like all the money in the world, so I can buy all of these beautiful books.

Have you added any new books to your TBR this week? Let me know and link me to your posts!

I’ll be posting my day two of the Christmas blogging challenge later today. Two blog posts from me in one day, that’s my little early Christmas gift to you! 😛

I hope you have an amazing Friday!

Day One||12 Days of Christmas Blogging.

12-days-of-christmas-blogging.jpg

Hi!

I was tagged by Deanna from A Novel Glimpse to do 12 Days of Christmas Blogging! Thanks for tagging me, Deanna! The challenge was created by StephJ from Scale Simple.

The Rules:

  • Include the photo below in each blog post
  • You may start at any point in December
  • Use the topic supplied for the post of that day
  • Make sure all posts are in December, but they don’t have to be posted consecutively (lets face it it’s a busy time)
  • Nominate 3 people after each blog to start the challenge
  • Have fun!

Day 1: List your favorite things about Christmas.

It’s no surprise that I love Christmas time so much! I am pretty sure my Instagram (heyyitsashley) account speaks for itself! 😛

  • Christmas decorations. I love decorating my apartment for Christmas. I love colorful Christmas lights the best.
  • Christmas trees. Decorating the Christmas tree is always fun and there was one year where I had three different Christmas trees in my tiny apartment, lol
  • Christmas cookies. GIVE ME ALL THE COOKIES! I am a sucker for cookies in general, but I swear Christmas cookies just always taste the best. I also love the shapes like trees, snowmen, and Santa.
  • Christmas movies. I have a pretty decent sized list of Christmas movies that I watch every single year and then there are some that I randomly will catch on the Hallmark channel. I love a good Christmas movie. See my list over here.
  • Spending time with my family. Pretty much my entire family lives next door to me, but I still like spending holiday time with them as well doing Christmasy type things. My cousin Michelle also has a Christmas party every year, so it’s nice getting to see my extended family as well.
  • Wrapping paper and wrapping gifts. I really enjoy wrapping gifts and I love finding the cutest wrapping paper for the gifts. It’s definitely one of my favorite things.
  • Finding the perfect Christmas gifts. I am always so good at finding the best gifts for everyone for Christmas and I love giving more than receiving. This year hasn’t been my best year though, sadly. I can’t think of anything to get anyone!

What are some of the things you love about Christmas? Let me know!

I tag:

I am going to do things little differently and tag a bunch of you lovely friends on this first post instead of tagging someone every post.

Thoughts||Not If I See You First.

IMG_5027

Not If I See You First by Eric Lindstrom
4 out of 5 stars.

“It’s amazing how people can be so blind to what’s good for them and what isn’t, what’s truth and what’s not, or the difference between secrets and things just not known.”

Goodreads Description: Parker Grant doesn’t need 20/20 vision to see right through you. That’s why she created the Rules: Don’t treat her any differently just because she’s blind, and never take advantage. There will be no second chances. Just ask Scott Kilpatrick, the boy who broke her heart. When Scott suddenly reappears in her life after being gone for years, Parker knows there’s only one way to react-shun him so hard it hurts. She has enough on her mind already, like trying out for the track team (that’s right, her eyes don’t work but her legs still do), doling out tough-love advice to her painfully naive classmates, and giving herself gold stars for every day she hasn’t cried since her dad’s death three months ago. But avoiding her past quickly proves impossible, and the more Parker learns about what really happened–both with Scott, and her dad–the more she starts to question if things are always as they seem. Maybe, just maybe, some Rules are meant to be broken.

I won Not If I See You First from The Novl in their monthly newsletter! If you go to their website and sign up for the newsletter, then you can have a chance to win books and ARCs like this! 🙂

It took me a little bit to really get into the story. It wasn’t a horrible start, but it wasn’t blowing me away at first. It was easy to just read and read even if it didn’t exactly blow me away in the first half though. It was pretty enjoyable and there are tons of likable characters.

Parker was one of the more likable characters in my opinion. She was surprisingly such a strong person going through everything she has had to deal with day to day. She was a tough cookie, but she almost had to be. I was rooting for Parker throughout the entire book. She had a lot of struggles to cope with, but she did a pretty good job for the most part.

I think it helped that she had some pretty amazing friends! Sarah, Molly, and Faith were definitely good people in her life and didn’t abandon her when things got too tough. Everyone needs friends like that in their lives. I loved the love advice scenes that involved Parker and Sarah giving out love advice to fellow classmates.

This book will definitely make you laugh and it’ll also make you cry a bit. I’ve never really read a book with a blind main character, so this was a change. It was an interesting read and it was nice reading about something new. I really liked the way that Eric wrote this book. I can’t wait to see more from him! I think his writing style is what made it so easy to keep reading even if it didn’t exactly blow me away at first. Overall, it was a bit of a slow start but I enjoyed it so much. I will definitely be recommending this book!

Have you read Not If I See You First? If not, do you think you’ll be checking it out? Let me know! 😀

I am starting back on Cress today, so I can get a move on with my December TBR. 🙂 I read a little bit in the car on the way to work today and it got pretty interesting and I was actually sad I had to put it down! Feel free to check out my other recent post linked down below. It’s a fun Christmas tag!

Tag||Dashing Through the Snow.

dashingthroughthesnow

Hey! I was tagged by Loreva from La Book Dreamer to do the Dashing Through the Snow tag. Thank you for tagging me! This tag was originally created by Astra @ A Stranger’s Guide to Novels.

The rules are simple:

  • Thank the curator.
  • Tag 5 people to spread the Christmas joy.
  • Have fun!

Now onto the questions!

Name a book you would like to see under your Christmas tree…

I went so book buying crazy this year and this is actually kind of a tough question, lol! I was such a huge Clarissa Explains It All fan as a kid (I swear I loved that show so much), so I was excited when I heard there was going to be a book out about her! The only reason why I haven’t actually bought it myself is because the hardcover is kind of pricey; it jumps from $17-20 (e-book is $13) and I just can’t do it. So I will definitely be okay with someone else buying it for me, haha. 😛 Here’s the first sentence taken off Goodreads:

thingsicantexplain
Things I Can’t Explain by Mitchel Kriegman

“A complete re-imagining of Clarissa Explains it All as 20-something Clarissa tries to navigate the unemployment line, mompreneurs and the collision of two people in love. “

A book you will be reading during the Christmas season!

I don’t have any Christmasy themed books to read this month, but I did make a December TBR and one of the books that I will be hopefully reading this month is Wolf by Wolf by Ryan Graudin. I’m excited that I won an ARC of it. 🙂

wolfbywolf

Favorite Christmas movie!

I think I will instead list you the Christmas movies I watch every single December. These are all my favorites and I make it a point to watch them every year. Ask the boyfriend, I’m sure he’ll tell you how annoying it is for him. 😛

homealone2jingleallthewayelfthesantaclause

  • Home Alone 2: Lost in New York
  • Jingle All the Way
  • Elf
  • The Santa Clause
  • A Christmas Story
  • National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation
  • How the Grinch Stole Christmas (cartoon one)
  • A Charlie Brown Christmas

achristmasstorychristmasvacationgrinchcharliebrownchristmas

Do you like snow?

I was actually born in Illinois, so I was able to experience snow as a kid and it was fun! I loved it! Then I moved to Florida and snow is non-existent here. HELLO SANDY WINTER! Then when I was going to start 9th grade, we moved back to Illinois for a year and the snow was no longer any fun. It was more annoying than anything! So I guess I have a love/hate for snow. I want it because I don’t have it, but I know if I have it then I won’t want it anymore.

Name a character that you would like to spend your Christmas with!

Just one? This is going to be a tough one, because I just want one huge Christmas party with all of my favorite characters. I think I’ll choose Jasper Dent from I Hunt Killers. I think that will make for one pretty crazy Christmas.

To give or to receive?

I am all about giving gifts! I take pride in finding the perfect gifts for everyone. I love seeing their faces when they open their gifts. This year though, I have no idea what to buy anyone! Like NO IDEA! I actually haven’t gotten anyone anything, besides Shelbie LOL! She’s easy and fun to buy for though, because I just buy all the things I want since we pretty much like almost all of the same things. 😛 So this year, it’s going to be one of those “it’s the thought that counts” type of things, because I haven’t done any Christmas shopping and I really am at a loss at what to get anyone!

What fictional place would you like to spend Christmas at?

Hogwarts. End of story. It sounds like it’ll be so fun and I really just need to hop on the Hogwarts Express like NOW, because before you know it Christmas will be here and I will be sad if I miss the train!

Fondest Christmas memory!

My memory is horrible and I don’t really remember too many Christmas’. I do love spending time with my family on Christmas. My cousin Michelle has a Christmas party every year, so it’s always fun going to that. This year I am going to be leaving a day earlier, so I can help her with all the decorating and cooking and Christmas crafts! haha. 😀

Can you say Christmas tree ten times FAST  in a row (pronouncing it correctly)!

Hmmm, so I tried this and it kind of sounds like I can pronounce it correctly. GO ME! CHRISTMAS TREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

I tag:

Shelbie @ Lu-Lu’s Rants & Reads
Maren @ The Worn Bookmark
Emily @ The Diary of a Bibliophile
Kayla @ Bookedsolid1989
Jenna @ Reading with Jenna
And anyone else that wants to do this tag! It’s a lot of fun! Please feel free to ignore if you have already done the tag, don’t want to do it or you don’t celebrate Christmas.

I have a couple book reviews coming up soon! 😀 I’m glad I am getting back into the swing of things as far as reading goes this month! Feel free to check out some of my recent posts linked below.

Random||Thanksgiving, Christmas, Pictures & More. – a kind of non-bookish post talking about my Thanksgiving trip and pictures I’ve taken to go along with it.
Friday Finds #39. – the books that I added to my Goodreads TBR last week! I actually been adding lots the last couple weeks. The last couple months I haven’t really been finding many new books, so I am excited!

I hope you have a great day! 🙂

Random||Thanksgiving, Christmas, Pictures & More.

christmasthanksgivingwhiterrandom

Hi! 🙂

The promised picture post! Warning: this may be picture heavy! I’ll make them smaller sized. So a couple days before Thanksgiving we took a mini trip to Cape Coral to spend Thanksgiving with the boyfriend’s family (which I’ve mentioned before). That trip was a lot of fun!

On the road; goodbye Dania!

IMG_5189IMG_5205

The drive is about 2.5-3 hours depending on how fast you drive. The boyfriend drove ridiculously fast and we ended up there a lot earlier than we thought we would. So I stopped at Book-A-Million, LOL! I didn’t get anything though. I still had to stop, because we don’t have one that close to us. Visiting his parents was a lot of fun like it always is.

That’s Digby their dog. I first started dating Andy when they got him and he was such a tiny puppy! There’s Digby and my pup Dax chillin on the sofa.

IMG_5236IMG_5231

On the day before Thanksgiving I was able to hangout with Shelbie (I mentioned in another post) and that was  a lot of fun! We walked around Target and bought some things! Here are my Target finds that day! Fairest (I was missing it), cat bookmarks I can color (I got Shelbie some too), markers to color my bookmarks, and Christmas socks. I am sucker for some socks!

IMG_5247

Andy, his parents, and I then went to a restaurant called Capone’s in Fort Myers and had pizza and beer. YESSSS! 😀 The restaurant was prety cool and the pizza was amazing. No food pictures, sorry. I did take some pictures on the way though.

Goodbye Cape Coral, Hello Fort Myers. It’s a short bridge drive away. 😛

IMG_5266

The Christmas tree in downtown Fort Myers. It’s so pretty! This year I want to take a picture of every Christmas tree I see at different places.

IMG_5265

Thanksgiving itself was great and Andy’s mom always makes such good food! I ate so much and had a good time! It was sad that I had to get up at 5am the next day to leave to come home and go to work! 😦 We need to visit more often! This was the first time I’ve been there since probably last Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving sunset & last night in Cape Coral.

IMG_5364

Here are just a couple random pictures also taken in Cape. My favorite tree (I take a picture of it every single time I see it, I just love it, haha) and this big leaf that fell off said tree.

IMG_5285IMG_5715

I’ve been pretty busy decorating my apartment with Christmas decorations and watching Netflix with the boyfriend. That is taking away from my reading, but oh well! I think I need a little break anyway! We made a little fireplace (boxes, paper, paint) and although it didn’t come out exactly like I planned, it still is nice!

IMG_5610IMG_5614

I got our stockings and hung them up. We put white lights on the floor in front of the little fire my sister drew for me. I was so excited when I found a cat and dog stocking!

IMG_5684

The finished product aka my fireplace and Christmas tree!
Exploding TARDIS picture in the background. 😛
I’ve had it for way over a year now and still obsessed with it.

IMG_5700

Here are some other random pictures!
TARDIS ornament for the tree of course.
Hot chocolate in my new Santa mug that I am obsessed with.

IMG_5428IMG_5723

I also dug out my Christmas sweater and Christmas shirts.
Real Friends Christmas sweater (love that band so much)
Blink-182 Christmas shirt (of course I LOVE BLINK just as much if not more)

IMG_5785IMG_5692

And it wouldn’t be a proper post without including some cute pictures of my two furbabies!

OH!!!!! I almost forgot about this! Actually, I really can’t even remember if I mentioned this or not here. So if I did, let’s pretend I didn’t mention this in here and you are hearing about it for the first time. So Craftedvan (they sell magnetic bookmarks) had this little contest where you send in pictures of your cat and you could win a chance to have your cat turned into a bookmark! Well, you guys, my little ColbyJack was one of the cats chosen! Sooooo….HERE HE IS!

I just got it last week, so I am excited! ALSO! If you want to own ColbyJack you can purchase him on their website (or plenty of other cats as well) over here.

Well, I think that is plenty for this post! 🙂 I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did making it! I love sharing my pictures and sorry for those of you that follow me on Instagram, chances are you already seen these before! 😛

I hope you have an amazing weekend!

Hey! 🙂 Happy Friday!

I am super stoked that it’s Friday, because that means no work for two days after today! This week was insanely busy and I ended up working late three days out of four of the days. I don’t think I will be working late today though. I just need to get through today and HELLO WEEKEND!

I have some new adds to my Goodreads TBR to share this week! I actually did look for some new books to add this week. I’ve been slacking on the reading and finding new books. Not this week though as far as new adds go! Here is what I have for you guys!

Have you added any new books to your TBR? Let me know and link me to your posts!

Funny story: I was leaving work yesterday and it was pouring down rain. I had my jacket on, but I didn’t have a bag big enough for my book I had with me. So I stopped in the doorway of the office and zipped up my book in my jacket. When I got in the car, the first thing out of the boyfriend’s mouth was “nerd problems”. He seen me trying to zip up my book in my jacket. 😛 He also once called me “Mad-Eye Moody” when one side of my glasses fogged up from going from a cold car to it being super hot outside.

Well, I am off to get some work done. Stay tuned for a picture post sometime over the weekend. I mentioned it in my last post, which is linked over here. It’s kind of an “all-over-the-place” review of Every Day by David Levithan. 😛

I hope you have an great day! ❤

Thoughts||Every Day.

everyday

Every Day by David Levithan
4.5 out of 5 stars.

“If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this: We all want everything to be okay. We don’t even wish so much for fantastic or marvelous or outstanding. We will happily settle for okay, because most of the time, okay is enough.”

Goodreads Description: Every day a different body. Every day a different life. Every day in love with the same girl. There’s never any warning about where it will be or who it will be. A has made peace with that, even established guidelines by which to live: Never get too attached. Avoid being noticed. Do not interfere. It’s all fine until the morning that A wakes up in the body of Justin and meets Justin’s girlfriend, Rhiannon. From that moment, the rules by which A has been living no longer apply. Because finally A has found someone he wants to be with—day in, day out, day after day.

Happy December! 🙂

I’ve been so back and forth on if I wanted to read this book and I am so glad that I did! I am kind of struggling with how to even write up a review or my thoughts on this book. At first it was a little weird for me, but also interesting at the same time. A wakes up in the body of Justin and falls in love with his girlfriend Rhiannon, which I at first didn’t like. It was insta-love for A, but I guess when you’re switching from body to body (life to life) then you don’t know what to expect or how to react about some things.

I personally wasn’t that big of a fan of Rhiannon. She kind of annoyed me, especially when she was falling in love with A but was so offish when he was in a body she wasn’t particularly okay with (example: when he was in the 300 pound body of a guy). I guess I can see where she is coming from though, because how do you react when someone you know and are falling for is in a new body every single day? That’s where all the weirdness came to me. It was SO strange, lol. I don’t even know any other way to put it. A seemed a little needy, but I guess I can also see where he is coming from with having to switch from body to body (life to life) every day and finally finding someone he wants to be with and can’t.

This post is kind of just everywhere LOL! So sorry about that. I just honestly have no idea how to form my thoughts on the book other than I really enjoyed it and I want to read the next book as soon as possible! I really liked how this book seemed so different from other books I have read and it was so interesting. I think the next book is about Rhiannon though, so I’m not sure how much I’ll like it. We’ll see!

“It’s as simple as that. Simple and complicated, as most true things are.”

Have you read Every Day? If so, what did you think about it?

I seriously apologize for this review. I really enjoyed the book SO much, but I just can’t really put it into the right words. I also apologize for my lack of posts. I’m around though reading all of your blogs, so at least I am not completely gone! I just have no idea what I want to post about, because I am not really reading much over the last month. Sigh. GIVE ME IDEAS 😛 I currently put Cress to the side and am currently reading Not If I See You First. I’m not too far into it though, but hopefully I’ll get a lot more read tonight.

I had to take out my Christmas fireplace picture, because I couldn’t get it to not be my main picture on the reader. I hate when it defaults to not being the picture I choose for my feature image, I don’t understand why it does that. I’ll save it for my next post. I think this weekend I am finally going to do that picture post that I’ve been wanting to do. It’ll just be a random little update about things going on in my life with pictures included! 🙂

I gotta get to work! I hope you have a great day! ❤
