Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.
10 Wishes I’d Ask The Book Genie To Grant Me (a new book from a certain author, a reading superpower, a library that is your absolutely #librarygoals, a character to come to life, to met a certain author etc. etc.) YOU DREAM IT AND THE BOOKISH GENIE CAN DO IT.
Hi! 🙂
Where is this bookish Genie and how can I find him? I know there must be a mountain of books with a magic lamp buried at the bottom of it somewhere! Here are some of my wishes:
More bookshelf space. I am sure everyone knows the struggle of running out of space on your bookshelf (or shelves). Everything becomes cluttered and books are everywhere. I’ve already had to buy two more bookshelves this year and I actually need a fourth one now.
No more reading slumps. I would wish for never being in a reading slump again. They are the worst, especially when you’re dying to read but you just can’t. Your mind wanders, you get distracted easily. You end up dreading even looking at books and words.
Cheaper hardcovers. I love hardcover books so much, but they are so much more expensive and sometimes I just cannot justify buying a hardcover when I can get more than one paperback for cheaper or the same price. Beautiful hardcovers need to be at a beautiful lower price.
Floor to ceiling library. It’s my dream to have a floor to ceiling library of books in my home. Of course one equipped with a ladder! Think of all the books I can have…and all the fun I can have flying around the room on the ladder. You know that’s what will really happen.
Never have to wait for book releases. We all know how starting it is having to wait a year (sometimes longer) for a book in a series to come out or a new book from a favorite author. I would love if it was just instant. Waiting for a new book is never fun, especially when I am absolutely in love with a series or author.
Read faster. I swear I am a slow reader. I always see everyone flying through so many books a week and I’m still on my first one. Sigh. I would love to read faster, get more books read, and at the same time still be able to fully enjoy them.
Meet Veronica Roth. I love the Divergent series so much and I would love to meet Veronica Roth. She seems like she would be super cool and fun to meet. I can’t wait for new stuff from her. I think I read she has a new book in the works!
Go to Hogwarts. I recently finally read and finished the Harry Potter series for the first time. I enjoyed the books so much and I would love to catch the Hogwarts Express to go off on a magical adventure at Hogwarts. Until that happens, at least I still have the last five movies to still see.
Spend the day with Simon. One of my favorite books I read this year is Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda. Simon is such an amazing character and one of my new favorites. I would love to hangout with Simon and eat mounts of Oreos.
Teleportation powers to get to book events. There are so many awesome book events that go on and I’m always so jealous that I can never attend! I would love to just be able to nod my head and blink my eyes and be there. You know, I Dream Of Jeanie style. Come on book Genie, make this happen!

I hope you have a great day! ❤
YES! I need more book shelf space too. And how cool would it be to be Simon’s friend! (fangirling so hard)
Great wishes!
I am constantly running out of bookshelf space, so an endless amount of space would be great! Yes, SIMON! 🙂
I just want to make all my walls bookshelves 😛
I’m completely relating with all your even numbered wishes! A BIG YES to #2, 4, 6, 8 and 10! And love the new look of the blog! 😀
Glad you agree with some of my wishes! And thank you! 🙂
SEe you at Hogwarts! haha and yes to no more reading slumps. please! 😀
Yes! See you there! 😀
No more reading slumps would be the best!
I love all your wishes Ashley! A huge yes to a elimination of all reading slumps for GOOD and to be able to read incredibly faster without losing the same enjoyment! 😄
Thank you, Josie! 🙂 Reading slumps are the worst, so having no more reading slumps for good would be amazing.
FUN wishes! 🙂 My TTT
These are all great wishes! YES TO GOING TO HOGWARTS! AHHHHHHhhhh! I also wish I could read faster.

I love this list. Hogwarts=OH YEAH! I added in about events but just my travel room and such were paid for I didn’t even think of how much easier teleportation would be! Bag of books heavy? Teleport it back to your house and back in a blink. My Top Ten.
I just finished Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda and I loved him. He’s such a good choice as far as picking a fictional friend goes. Good one!
Thank you and I’m so glad you loved Simon! 🙂
I was stuck on your #1 for a while wondering why I didn’t think of that. My bookshelf is so overstuffed.
I am constantly running out of bookshelf space, so it’s definitely needed!
I can’t believe I didn’t think of Hogwarts!
CHEAPER HARDCOVERS. FREAKING YES. MY TTT.
Oh I never even thought about it, but not having to wait for book releases is so genius! I need that to be a thing! Cheaper Hardcovers – PREACH! They’re so pretty, but you’re right when it’s an option of getting two paperbacks with change to spare or one hardback it’s hard to justify. Great list! I want them all to come true! Why did they have to put the thought of a book genie in my mind, now that’s all I want!
I know! This thought of the book genie is driving me crazy, I want all of this to happen NOW! It is definitely hard to justify getting a hardcover when you can get more than one paperback, so sad. 😦
I still do it, I just feel that extra guilty over it haha!

Never having to wait for new releases would be great!! But sometimes, well, it’s good to wait a little bit, this way, we don’t buy all the books all at once, haha 🙂
And spending the day with Simon, this is definitely on my to-do-list…if only that could happen, haha! Great list Ashley! 🙂

I love all of these!!! I think instead of Verinica I’d want to meet Leigh Bardugo. Ah! Also that House GIF is on point lmfao
