Hi ๐
It’s been one crazy week, but it ended on a happy note. Thanks for your comments on my last post about my dog Dax. The X-Ray showed that it wasn’t something really serious and he should be getting better and be back to his normal cute self! So thankful for that, because I don’t know what I would do without my pup.
Anyway! Tag time! I was tagged by the awesome Analee from Book Snacks to do the “my life in books” tag. It looks like a lot of fun, so here we go!
1: Find a book for each of your initials.
+ My initials are A-N-D and here are the books that I found on my bookshelf with those initials!
Alice in Zombieland by Gena Showalter
None of the Above by I.W. Gregorio
Denton Little’s Death Date by Lance Rubin
I still haven’t had the chance to read Alice in Zombieland or Denton Little’s Death Date, but I really want to. I have copies of them, so that is definitely a possibility soon! I read None of the Above and loved it.
2: Count your age along your bookshelf- which book is it?
+ I chose to go with my hardcover bookshelf and the 27th book (geez, I’m old!) is A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab. I really need to read it!
3: Pick a book set in your city/state/country.
+ The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin. I live in Florida and I believe that this book takes place in Florida. I haven’t had the chance to read it yet, but I have been really wanting to!
4: Pick a book that represents a destination you would love to travel to.
+ Virals by Kathy Reichs. I’ve always wanted to go to South Carolina and this book takes place there. I also really enjoyed this book and I may start book two audiobook in October! ๐
5: Pick a book that’s your favorite color.
+ My favorite color is pink, so I am going withย Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins. I recently got the e-book, because it was on sale. I haven’t read it yet, but I may give it a chance sometime.
6: Which book do you have the fondest memories of?
+ Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll. I love this book so much and it always makes me happy; it’s such a great funย book.
7: Which book did you have the most difficulty reading?
+ Endgame: The Calling by James Frey. I didn’t even finish it. I think I mentioned this a couple times, but it was just so hard to get into and you have to remember SO many things. It’s told in multiple points of view. At one point I had to make a note in my phone (I still have it in my phone) of all the character’s names, family name, and their age; some also had some crazy names! It was quite confusing and annoying trying to remember who is who, because sometimes they would talk about other characters in the book by the family name theyย came from and not always their own name! See below my list:
8: Which book in your TBR pile will you give the biggest sense of accomplishment when you finish it?
+ I am definitely going to go with Outlander by Diana Gabaldon on this one. I have it on my TBR and my bookshelf. I really want to read it, but the amount of pages is kind of terrifying, haha. I have it in e-book form too, so maybe reading an e-book version will make it not as intimidating since I won’t be seeing the physical pages? lol ๐
This was a fun tag! ๐ I am going to tag:
Josie @ Josie’s Book Corner
Emily @ The Diary of a Bibliophile
Anette @ Anette Reads
Maren @ The Worn Bookmark
Alina @ Radiant Reads
Shelbie @ Lu-Lu’s Rants & Reads
Giselle @ Hardwork Boulevard
Cristina @ My Tiny Obsessions
Aimal @ Bookshelves & Paperbacks
Kayla @ Bookedsolid1989
And anyone else that wants to do it, please do! I’d love to see your answers! ๐ Feel free to ignore if you have already done this tag or not interested in doing it. I think I’ll go read some in my current read (The Water Travelers). I’m almost halfway through it and really enjoy it. I am hoping to finish it this weekend, so Shelbie and I can read Siege and Storm together! I hope you have a great weekend! Bye! โค
That’s great news about Dax! ๐ loved this post and thanks for tagging me! And you’re not old, because if you’re old then I’m old lol. Let’s wait until we’re in our 30’s to say we’re old ๐
Thanks ๐
Can’t wait to see your answers if you decide to do it!
Hah! That’s true! ๐
I wanted to like this, but for some reason it wouldn’t let me ๐ฆ
I’ve been seeing that happen on other blogs too, where it won’t let you like the post.
It’s happening on mine as well actually ๐ฆ What do we do?
Are you using the app to read blog posts? I know when I was using my app some blog posts didn’t have the “like” option, but when I log on a computer to look it’s there.
Yeah I’m using the app. I hope you’re right! Sorry I can’t like it anyway. Whenever I can again I will ๐
I figured out what happened! Whichever post of yours isn’t showing the like star, go to edit the post and click “advanced settings” and then check the “show likes” box. ๐ It seemed to work for me. Not sure why it was unchecked since I never mess with the advanced settings.
Same! Thank you so much. This has been annoying me all day. I noticed I was getting likes but not as many as usual and I couldn’t see who. You’ve solved the mystery. I really really appreciate it. Thank you x
You’re welcome! ๐ Glad you were able to get yours fixed as well!
I’ve noticed there’s loads of posts that are like it. It’s so annoying. Clearly there’s a problem somewhere x
Maybe it’s not quite fixed.. I still can’t like your post and it doesn’t seem people can like mine. So annoying! X
I had to restart my app for the star to show back up on my posts. Hopefully WordPress becomes aware of it and fixes it if it’t still not working correctly.
Ahhh. Sorry I realise I am being a right pain here! X
That’s okay! ๐
It seems to be working! Thank you so much
I wanted to like too. I also cant follow from the wordpress app.
This was a great award, your answers were intelligent and fun โบ
Thank you ๐
There must be a glitch with the app or something. I just started noticing it yesterday.
Im sure it will work itself out. I hope so… Youre welcome โบ
what a fun book tag!!!
You should do it! ๐
I’m thinking about it!!
๐
Great answers Ashley! ๐ I hope you’ll enjoy Anna and the French Kiss, and the Mara Dyer series. You need to read both, they’re so amazing! ๐
Thank you! ๐
I hope I enjoy them too. It seems like a lot of people are fans of these books!
Well I hope you’ll become one of those fans! ๐
Ohhhh this is a fun tag!!! Thanks so much for tagging me!! ๐ ๐
You’re welcome!! ๐
Oh my, I have such a difficult time finishing Outlander too. I keep putting it off in favour of other books…
I haven’t started it yet, but I feel like I have to be in a certain mood to pick it up. I really want to though, sigh. lol ๐
Me too! I love the story, but I just don’t seem to get ahead.

Thanks for the tag, Ashley! I totally agree! Outlander is such an intimidating book to read! And I really like the pink cover of Anna & The French Kiss, I’m so glad they changed it! ๐
Ashley my darling, favourite blogger! I am. So happy that Dax is okay, he’s so adorable! I loved your answers for this tag and thank you for tagging me! ๐
xoxo, @ Josie’s Book Corner
Thank you โค It's such a relief that he's going to be okay. Just have to get through this new week with giving him medicine and he should be fine.

I don’t know how I missed seeing this post until today! So glad to hear that Dax is going to be okay! He’s such a cutie. Thanks for tagging me! This was a fun one.
I’m so happy to hear Dax will be okay! โค I'm sure it would've been devastating if anything *really* bad were to happen to him. I will be looking forward to your thoughts on Anna and the French Kiss–I've been meaning to read it for a while! Great answers. ๐
Thank you! โค
