Hi!
I actually had a good reading week with finishing some books and audiobooks. It hasn’t been the best month and I know I’ve mentioned that quite a bit! Here’s what I’ve had going on as far as books in the last week or so…
Currently Reading:
The Water Travelers by Daniel Waltz
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J.K. Rowling
I’m not too far into either of these, but I am excited to read them. The Water Travelers is pretty interesting so far and I can’t wait to read more! You should also go check out Daniel’s blog OVER HERE! I haven’t exactly started Deathly Hallows yet, but I am as soon as I post this! It’ll be the audiobook I listen to this week. I’m sad to see the series end, BUT I still have the movies to watch. I’ve only watched the first two so far.
Recently Finished:
The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
Dumplin’ by Julie Murphy
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince by J.K. Rowling
Shelbie sent me a copy of The Great Gatsby, because she knew I wanted to read it. Sadly, I didn’t like it as much as I hoped I would. I was confused a lot of the time. There were some times where I did enjoy it though. I’m going to watch the movie and see if I like the movie better. Dumplin’ was such a great book and I’ll link you below to my review in case you missed it or want to check it out. I loved Half-Blood Prince! There was so much going on and I really enjoyed it. I even cried a few times. 😦 Prisoner of Azkaban is still my favorite. I’ve said that a million times, lol.
Reading Next:
I have no idea what I will be reading next, to be honest. I do know it’ll hopefully be a spooky one for October! And maybe Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo. I think Shelbie and I are going to read it together at some point.
What are you currently reading? Recently finished? Reading next? Let me know in the comments and link me to your posts if you have one!
I am off to work! Here are a few posts I’ve done this week linked below.

I hope you have an awesome day! Bye! ❤
Yes yes yes, read Siege & Storm next 🙂
I’m giving myself a week to read the book I am currently reading and then I am going to start Siege and Storm before I start on my Halloween TBR books. 🙂
I’m reading Dumplin’ right now and I adore it! Great books this week! Here’s my post for this week.
I am so glad that you adore Dumplin’! I loved it so much! 🙂
I’m so jealous of you, reading Harry Potter for the first time! I wish I could go back and read it all new again. Not getting spoiled must be hard work!
I actually never had the desire to read HP or watch any of the movies since they came out, so I never looked at anything that had to do with HP. Staying spoiler free has been pretty easy for me because of that. So far I really am enjoying the books and movies though! I think I probably would have liked them so much more if I had read the books growing up though.
That’s so interesting.I remember I went through a short phase where I didn’t want to know Harry Potter because it was ‘what everyone else was doing’, but it didn’t last, haha!
I’m so glad you loved Dumplin’. I was worried it would be another one of those over-hyped releases which I would find disappointing. Adding it to the TBR now!

I was so scared because I was so excited for Dumplin’ and it was so hyped that I was going to not like it as much. I did though! Definitely one of my favorites. 🙂
So happy to see you finishing up HP! Those books were such a big part of my childhood. The movies are well done. I hope you like them as well. Happy reading and thanks for participating in WWW Wednesday!
I am so jealous of everyone that read it growing up, because even though I am really enjoying this series a lot; I think I would have loved it so much more had I read it growing up.
Reblogged this on and commented:
When your book’s next to Harry Potter #goals!
😀
I am enjoying it so far!
When you’re done leave a review and tag me in it so I know what you thought! And if those final thoughts are good, book two is out!!!
I will definitely been doing a review once I am finished! 🙂
Whenever I see someone reading Harry Potter for the first time, I kinda freak out a little. Also, I get insanely jealous because I wish I had the opportunity to read HP again with a fresh start! I really hope you enjoy Deathly Hallows; it remains my favorite book of the series! 😀
I’ve really enjoyed reading it, but I think I probably would have loved it so much more had I read it growing up. It’s still good though. 🙂
We will need to read Siege & Storm like soon, omg.
Yeah! I’m currently reading another book now. But if we set pages, chapters, time frame or something then I’m sure I can read both. Or maybe in a week we can start it. Because I should have this book finished by then. I’ll just read read read! Haha.
A week is fine! I might suck it up and finish Ari & Dante in that time…or not. Lol
Okay! I’ll let you know as soon as I finish it. And yes, finish Ari and Dante or you never will! Haha.
Oh yay, I’m glad to see you reading The Water Travelers! I can’t wait to hear your thoughts.

I’m a little under 100 pages in and it’s interesting so far. I will for sure be doing a review on my blog once I finish it. 🙂
