Hi! 🙂

I hope you are having an awesome weekend! I was tagged by Joey from Thoughts and Afterthoughts to do the How I Read tag!  I’m glad he tagged me, because it saves me from not having a post for the weekend! I’ve been slacking on the blogging this month with not reading much. Onto the questions and answers!

How did you find out about new books to read?

+ I use Goodreads and fellow bloggers to find out about new books. When I wasn’t on or using either of these, I was just trusting Amazon to find me books that I would like based on what I’ve already read and purchased and Amazon never failed me!

How did you get into reading?

+ I used to have a love/hate for reading, to be honest. When I read the Hunger Games series a few years ago though, it really got me into loving reading so much more. I haven’t looked back since, even though this book reading journey has broken my heart over and over again 3849738472 times!

How has your taste in books changed as you got older?

+ I used to only read non-fiction books or fiction based on real things. I never really into fairy-tales, make believe, or things that couldn’t possibly happen. Reading the Hunger Games changed that for me though and I started to read all kinds of books. Right now I am mostly reading just YA stuff. So I guess as I got older, I’ve allowed myself to read other types of genres and I am all about that magic and make believe now.

How often do you buy books?

+ The real questions is how often do I NOT buy books, hah. I buy books a lot, probably way too much. Last month I acquired about 70 books! Also, Joey got me into checking Book Outlet every single day when I wake up, lol. THANK YOU, JOEY…it wasn’t like my debit card hated me enough already. 😛

How did you get into book reviewing?

+ I tried to talk about books to the boyfriend, but he’s not really into reading and he would just be like “oh, cool, okay” and I’m like “TALK TO ME ABOUT BOOKS” and he just never understood what I was talking about. So I decided to look around WordPress for other book bloggers and when I found that it was actually a pretty big community, I decided to turn my old blog of nothingness into a book blog and here I am today.

How did you react when you don’t like the end of a book?

+ I get really disappointed and yell “WHHHHHYYYYYYYYY” and then when my cat and dog don’t answer me, I just write a review about it and how much I didn’t like it.

How often do you take a sneak peek at the ending to see if there is a happy ending?

+ PEOPLE DO THAT?! I never do that. I may want to throughout the book, but I hold myself back and never look. If things start looking bad, I usually put the book down…breathe…and then pick it back up. I like to prepare myself for the worst, so if that happy ending isn’t there…it might hurt a little less. FYI: it never hurts any less.

I am going to break the rules and tag everyone, because I want to see all of your answers to these questions! So I tag YOU, and YOU, and YOU! FYI: the “YOU” is your name, so do the tag. 😛

Share your links with me if you choose to do it, so I can check them out!

I hope you have a great Sunday! I plan to finish Dumplin’ today and post a review tomorrow; I am flying through this book. Then I really need to get back to this eARC I started. I may just finish the Half-Blood Prince audiobook though, because I am really enjoying it and I only have four hours left of it. The Prisoner of Azkaban is still my favorite though! OH, I watched the second HP movie on Friday. Okay, that’s all! BYE! ❤

      • Goblet of Fire was definitely a huge read and focused a lot on the sports aspect. The saddest part at the end teared me up when HP’s fellow contestant dies. I am not much of a “book crier” but HP made me tear up a lot especially in the last few books.

  1. Haha! Yep, 95% of the time I peek at the end. I’m impatient and if the suspense is too much, I’ll break and look at the ending. I’ll still be surprised when I get there.

    • That’s good that you’re still surprised when you get to the ending. Sometimes I’ll glance down to the bottom of the page if something is going on, but I won’t look at the ending of the book. lol.

  2. “I get really disappointed and yell “WHHHHHYYYYYYYYY” and then when my cat and dog don’t answer me, I just write a review about it and how much I didn’t like it.” I’m still laughing and I loved all of your answers! Definitely will be doing this tag 🙂
