Friday Finds #26.

FRIDAY FINDS showcases the books you ‘found’ and added to your To Be Read (TBR) list… whether you found them online, or in a bookstore, or in the library — wherever! (they aren’t necessarily books you purchased). Hosted by A Daily Rhythm.

Hi 🙂

I hope everyone has had a good week so far! It went by pretty quickly and I am super stoked for the weekend, because that’s when I get most of my reading in! Here are some of the books that I added to my TBR. You can see more of my TBR list over on my Goodreads account over here and feel free to add me as a friend!

The Book of Ivy by Amy Engel
Pawn by Aimee Carter
The Stars Turned Away by Lisa Maxwell
Blackhearts by Nicole Castroman
The Monstrumologist by Rick Yancey

These all sound pretty amazing and I’m really excited to eventually read them one day, lol! I add so many books to my TBR that I have no clue when I ever will, sadly. 😦 It’s nice adding them though and knowing that I will never run out of things to read! I did get the e-book Brew for free last Friday, so that’s cool. What books did you add to your TBR this week? Let me know in the comments and link me to your posts if you’ve done one! 🙂

In other news, I made a new book jar. I saw these cute jars at Target yesterday and decided to get one since it was only $3. I took all my little papers from my bowl that I was using and added them to the jar. I also bought the Insurgent DVD, because my mom really wanted to see the movie. Plus, I had to have it, duh! She was excited that I got it. I had her read the books, so she loves them lol.

I may have bought a book or two, but I’ll save those for another time. 😛 I’ll probably do a mid-month book haul depending on if I get more books or not. I’m really trying not to though. I have a lot of preorders coming soonish; most being next month, so I need to save my money. I did get quite a few e-books this month though, but they were all free so far besides maybe one or two.

Last month I did pretty good with doing more reviews, so I need to get back into the swing of things this month. I don’t see a need to review the novellas and that’s all I’ve finished so far this month. But hopefully in the next week or two I’ll have some. I haven’t even been listening to any audiobooks and I usually review those too. I haven’t really been in the mood for them so far this month.

I guess that’s all! I hope you have a wonderful Friday! And if you still want to read what I have to say, then you can always check out some of my other recent posts. I’ll even link them for you below to make it easier for you! 😉

  1. Love the jar! I got the Insurgent bluray on Tuesday and I’m super excited to watch it again. One of my friends has never seen either of the movies so I’m going over to her house tomorrow to watch both. I had put myself on a book buying ban but that didn’t work out so well. I saw on Goodreads they had these awesome new illustrated versions of two Jane Austen books and I couldn’t resist buying them since she is my favorite author. Ruin and Rising is being released on paperback on the 18th and I want to order it SO BAD but it’s on my wishlist for #OTSPSecretSister so I don’t feel like I can buy it yet lol.

    • Thanks 🙂 I like it so much more than the bowl I was using.
Watching the Divergent movies with your friend tomorrow sounds fun! I hope she likes them!
Do book buying bans ever work out well? 😛
Sometimes I can be really good about it though and not buy as much as usual. But stopping completely is way too hard haha.
Maybe you’ll get lucky and your secret sister will get it for you soon! I could understand not buying it when you put it on your list though. It would be crazy if you bought it and then got it, lol! I’m glad the paperback is releasing soon though, because I want a paperback copy as well. I like to try to keep my series in the same format.

      • Ha-ha book buying bans almost never work out. At least mine don’t. I’ve been better this month though.
I’m the same way about my formats. I have a couple of series that don’t match and it drives me a little bit crazy!

  2. A lot of great finds as always! I have some of them on my TBR already and it looks like I will be adding more to my already impossibly large list. 😉 I love your new TBR jar!
    Have a great weekend! 😀

  3. Awesome finds! Some of these I’ve heard of and want to read, but found that I forgot to add them to my Goodreads TBR. so thanks! XD And there are a bunch of other books I just added to my TBR, they seem so interesting!
On another note, love your TBR jar! So cute. 🙂 I’ve seen lots of bloggers make one, I might do one too, but I’m not sure yet. And it’s great you got the Insurgent DVD, I watched the movie in theatres and I liked it, although it wasn’t perfect. (Really, what book-to-film movie is? Lol.)
Anyway, have a great weekend! ❤
