Ten Fairytale Retellings I’ve Read/Want To Read.

Hi 🙂

I really love this TTT topic, because I love retellings! I’ve know I’ve said that a few times in my blog already! I will share five retellings that I have read and five that I want to read.

Five Retellings I Have Read:

Dorothy Must Die by Danielle Paige
A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas
The Book of Lost Things by John Connolly
The Looking Glass Wars by Frank Beddor
The Woodcutter by Kate Danley

These were some of my favorites that I have read in the past and recently. The Woodcutter could have been a little better, but it was still enjoyable. The Book of Lost Things is absolutely one of my favorite books ever! I am currently reading the Dorothy Must Die novellas, with one left to go!

Five Retellings I Want To Read:

A Whole New World by Liz Braswell
The Isle of the Lost by Melissa de la Cruz
The Shadow Queen by C.J. Redwine
Of Beast and Beauty by Stacey Jay
Alice by Christina Henry

I am so excited about every single one of these retellings! They all sound amazing and I really can’t wait to read them all! I may be reading The Isle of the Lost this month. I honestly cannot wait for A Whole New World though. Aladdin is my favorite Disney movie, so I am beyond excited about this retelling!

What are some of your favorite retellings? What retellings are you looking forward to reading? Let me know in the comments and link me to your TTT posts!

I hope you all have an awesome Tuesday! Bye! ❤

  1. Yes oh my gosh! A Whole New World is on my list too! It sounds incredible. I loved A Court of Thorns and Roses and as for all the others? I definitely want to read all of them. Great picks! xoxo

    • I love the book cover of The Shadow Queen 🙂
Disney channel put out a movie that goes along with The Isle of the Lost, so I really want to read the book and then see the movie.
Yes, you definitely need to read ACOTAR! 🙂

      • My current plan is to read Siege & Storm, then ACOTAR, then The Wrath and the Dawn. Hopefully I can stick to that plan lol. I also have to add in an author book request I promised by next week.

      • I really want to read Siege and Storm this month too. I need to read The Wicked Will Rise and then The Wrath and the Dawn first though. Since I have to wait for my copy to come anyway, I guess that’s okay lol! Hopefully you’re able to stick to your plan! I rarely can stick to my reading plans. So far this month I have though, but it’s only day 4 haha.

  2. The Isle of the Lost is on my TBR list, too. Mostly because my daughter and I watched The Descendants on Disney the other nights and now she’s interested in reading it together. 🙂 Great list!

  3. After this post, I realized that I really want to read ‘Isle of the Lost’ as well! It sounds so intriguing. 🙂 Great list! x

    • The Isle of the Lost definitely sounds really intriguing and I can’t wait to read it! 🙂 The book cover is also pretty amazing, especially the back cover.

    • Thank you 🙂
I’m glad you added The Shadow Queen to your TBR! It sounds so good!
Hopefully you get to the Woodcutter soon.
I probably have so many books on my Kindle that I completely forgot about getting, lol! I currently think I have over 200 books on there.

  7. Of Beast and Beauty, The Shadow Queen, A Whole New World, and Isle of the Lost are all on my TBR as well! I have Dorothy Must Die on my TBR too, and am now adding The Book of Lost Things, The Woodcutter, The Looking Glass Wars and Alice to my TBR. Lol, the only book from this list I’ve read is A Court of Thorns and Roses. XD Great list, I’m always looking out for new fairytale retellings! ❤
