Ten Books That Celebrate Diversity/Diverse Characters (example: features minority/religious minority, socioeconomic diversity, disabled MC, neurotypical character, LGBTQ etc etc.)
Hi 🙂
I really love this topic so much, because I truly believe that we need more diverse books! I’ve read some and then there are TONS that I still want and need to read! I decided to split the post up into 5 books I’ve read and 5 that I want to read. Let’s get started!
Five Books I’ve Read:
Made You Up by Francesca Zappia
None of the Above by I.W. Greggorio
Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli
Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Bengamin Alire Saenz
Switching Time by Richard Baer
These all were such amazing books and definitely top of my list of favorite books! I highly recommend all of these books if you haven’t read them yet!
Five Books I Want To Read:
George by Alex Gino
I’ll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson
More Than This by Patrick Ness
More Happy Than Not by Adam Silvera
Anything Could Happen by Will Walton
A few of these I already own, so I want to read them soon! I already started More Than This and plan to pick it up again soon! 🙂 I made the mistake of also starting another book while reading that one and it’s currently getting the majority of my attention, oops!
What are some diverse books you have read or want to read? Let me know in the comments and link me to your TTT posts!
I’ll hopefully have my July book haul post up tomorrow. For now, I have to finish getting ready for work. I hope you all have an awesome day! Bye! ❤
