Hey! π
I hope everyone is having a good weekend! I woke up super early today, because the boyfriend and I had to take my younger sister to work. We were also going to go to the mall to go to Books-A-Million. It was really early, so the mall wasn’t opened yet though. We decided to cash in my piggy bank change that I’ve been saving up at Publix and it ended up being $50! I also got a chocolate frosting sprinkle donut from Publix. It was probably the best donut I’ve ever had. Publix seriously has the best stuff though.
After Publix we went to this park that was close by to kill time. It was pretty cool, because the entire park was on huge hills. There were different levels of the hills with different things in the park. The section we went to had a model airplane launching pad and we watched people fly their model airplanes for a little while and then just chilled passing time.
^^*that’s the boyfriend and our car* ^^
We decided to go to the mall an hour before the stores opened and walked around. OMG I’ve never realized how many people exercise in the mall before the stores open! It’s totally a thing!! It was mostly older people, but so many of them walking around in their running shoes, workout clothes, and holding water bottles. It was pretty crazy! I can totally understand why though, it’s empty when stores aren’t open and you don’t have to suffer in the Florida summer heat to get exercise in!
I was actually really disappointed with Books-A-Million. It wasn’t any better than Barnes & Noble in my opinion. I still spent a ton of money that I probably shouldn’t have. I also didn’t see any new releases from this week, which was a huge disappointment! Sigh. I think I’ll stick to Amazon and Book Outlet from now on. It’s so much cheaper and I can get all kinds of books.
Anyway!! I did get five books from the bookstore though. I only had to use $10 over what my piggy bank was, so that was not too bad. I was saving my change, so I could buy books. Below are the books that I got…
Extraordinary Means by Robyn Schneider
The Summer of Chasing Mermaids by Sarah Ockler
Starters by Lissa Price
Alice in Zombieland by Gena Showalter
Let’s Get Lost by Adi Alsaid
Even though I wasn’t exactly happy with the Books-A-Million store itself, I’ve been really wanting these books, so I am glad that I got them. Hopefully in the next few weeks I can get the ones I didn’t see. I’ve been trying really hard not to spend so much money on books like I have been over the last few months. So far I’ve been good this month…so much better than usual!
Overall it was a pretty good morning! It’s so nice when the boyfriend has a Saturday off work. I wish it was more often, but I guess I’ll take what I can get! We also got Steak N Shake for lunch (which I haven’t had in so long). CHEESE FRIES! Modern Romance and catching up on TV shows with the boyfriend.
Check out some of my other posts from this week! You know you want to! π

I hope everyone is having a good weekend! BYE! π
Yay! You finally got Starters! That’s one more that we have in common to read π I am sorry it didn’t impress you. It hasn’t been impressing me either. I just go because it has better clearance books normally. Love the adventure! I am at work π¦ and yes, Public has great stuff! I work there…so staying away from those donuts is a hard task lol
I’m excited that I finally got it! π we’re gonna have a lot of choices to pick from to read next! It sucks that I wasn’t so impressed. π I knew what books I was going in for and I think because I didn’t see any of them, it made me not like it as much too. It would totally be hard for me to stay away from the donuts too if I worked at Publix! lol, they are good!
Ugh. Publix* stupid auto correct
Those are some beautiful books! π I read Robyn Scheider’s other book, but I didn’t much care for it, so I’m looking forward to what you think of her new one. π
I have her other book (The Beginning of Everything), but haven’t read it yet. I will definitely do a review on this one once I read it. I’ve been really wanting to read it, so I’m glad I was able to buy it this weekend. π
Great haul! I have most of them on my wishlist as well… I’m glad to hear you had a fun weekend! π
Thank you ! π
I received a ARC of Extraordinary Means and haven’t had the chance to get around to it. Let me know what you think! π
I will definitely let you know once I read it! π
