Top Ten Books I’ve Read So Far In 2015

Hi 🙂

Picking TEN books out of 74 books read was not an easy task! I’ve both read and listened to SO MANY books so far this year! I thought about “cheating” and using series as one, but then I realized there were books in the series that I loved more than others. Anyway way though, let’s get started! These aren’t in any specific order.

1869243119547856185256572232854622896551

Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon – BLOG POST.
Simon vs. The Homosapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli – BLOG POST.
Broken Hearts, Fences, and Other Things to Mend by Katie Finn – BLOG POST.
Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard – BLOG POST.
None of the Above by I.W. Gregorio – BLOG POST.

193553551150021712000020157457538407173

Take Me With You by Catherine Ryan Hyde (audiobook) – BLOG POST.
Angelfall by Susan Ee – BLOG POST.
Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Saenz – BLOG POST.
Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell (audiobook) – BLOG POST.
Jasper Jones by Craig Silvey (audiobook)

All of these books are SO SO SO amazing and they all received five stars from me. Most of these I have done blog posts for and I linked them next to their names. These are definitely books that I would reread over and over again. As far as Angelfall goes, I absolutely loved the entire series, but I decided to only include the first book instead of adding them all the the post. I laughed and cried the hardest throughout all of these ten books and I am so glad that I was able to read them and experience the amazing stories. I definitely recommend all of these to everyone! 🙂

Have you read any of these books? Leave a comment below and link me to your TTT posts!

None of the Above by I.W. Gregorio
5 OUT OF 5 STARS.

The biggest difference between boys and girls is how people treat them.”

I had really wanted to read this book and I had it for awhile now, but for some reason I just never picked it up. I am so glad that I finally decided to grab it off my bookshelf. I started this book on Sunday and read all but 60 pages that first day and finished the last 60 pages today. I flew through the book! I could not put it down and I dreaded when I actually had to!

I loved this book and I thought it was so brilliant and so well written. I honestly believe we need more diverse books! I’ve heard of intersex, but didn’t really know too much about it going into reading this book. I was definitely educated more while reading this story. I really thought that Gregorio did an amazing job with writing this book and capturing how Kristin was feeling throughout the book. It was written in a way that you could really feel the way that Kristin was feeling throughout. So many feels. So many!

Kristin had it all, boyfriend, best friends, popularity, homecoming queen and that was instantly taken away from her and you could feel her pain throughout. She really struggled throughout the book to deal with her diagnosis, what the future would be like, the aftermath and the kids at her school finding out. The world can be cruel and you really felt that while reading this book. I was rooting for her the entire time and I loved that her dad was really supportive throughout. He was also struggling with the loss of his wife (Kristin’s mom), but he was there for her and never turned his back on her. I love when there are strong parents in a book, because most YA books I have read, the parents weren’t really present in the books or you would get a small glimpse of them.

It was definitely different than a lot of the books that I have read, but it was really interesting and I really enjoyed it. Like I said in the beginning, we need more diverse books and I am glad I was able to read this one and I plan to definitely read more in the future.

“Love isn’t a choice. You fall for the person, not their chromosomes.”

Goodreads Description: A groundbreaking story about a teenage girl who discovers she was born intersex… and what happens when her secret is revealed to the entire school. Incredibly compelling and sensitively told, None of the Above is a thought-provoking novel that explores what it means to be a boy, a girl, or something in between. What if everything you knew about yourself changed in an instant? When Kristin Lattimer is voted homecoming queen, it seems like another piece of her ideal life has fallen into place. She’s a champion hurdler with a full scholarship to college and she’s madly in love with her boyfriend. In fact, she’s decided that she’s ready to take things to the next level with him. But Kristin’s first time isn’t the perfect moment she’s planned—something is very wrong. A visit to the doctor reveals the truth: Kristin is intersex, which means that though she outwardly looks like a girl, she has male chromosomes, not to mention boy “parts.” Dealing with her body is difficult enough, but when her diagnosis is leaked to the whole school, Kristin’s entire identity is thrown into question. As her world unravels, can she come to terms with her new self?

Hopefully sometime this week I will get around to posting up my June Recap post of all the books I read and listened to this month. There are tons! This was a really good month! I hope everyone has a good night! ❤

Adventure & New Books.

Hey! 🙂

I hope everyone is having a good weekend! I woke up super early today, because the boyfriend and I had to take my younger sister to work. We were also going to go to the mall to go to Books-A-Million. It was really early, so the mall wasn’t opened yet though. We decided to cash in my piggy bank change that I’ve been saving up at Publix and it ended up being $50! I also got a chocolate frosting sprinkle donut from Publix. It was probably the best donut I’ve ever had. Publix seriously has the best stuff though.

After Publix we went to this park that was close by to kill time. It was pretty cool, because the entire park was on huge hills. There were different levels of the hills with different things in the park. The section we went to had a model airplane launching pad and we watched people fly their model airplanes for a little while and then just chilled passing time.

IMG_9101

We decided to go to the mall an hour before the stores opened and walked around. OMG I’ve never realized how many people exercise in the mall before the stores open! It’s totally a thing!! It was mostly older people, but so many of them walking around in their running shoes, workout clothes, and holding water bottles. It was pretty crazy! I can totally understand why though, it’s empty when stores aren’t open and you don’t have to suffer in the Florida summer heat to get exercise in!

I was actually really disappointed with Books-A-Million. It wasn’t any better than Barnes & Noble in my opinion. I still spent a ton of money that I probably shouldn’t have. I also didn’t see any new releases from this week, which was a huge disappointment! Sigh. I think I’ll stick to Amazon and Book Outlet from now on. It’s so much cheaper and I can get all kinds of books.

Anyway!! I did get five books from the bookstore though. I only had to use $10 over what my piggy bank was, so that was not too bad. I was saving my change, so I could buy books. Below are the books that I got…

IMG_9095

Extraordinary Means by Robyn Schneider
The Summer of Chasing Mermaids by Sarah Ockler
Starters by Lissa Price
Alice in Zombieland by Gena Showalter
Let’s Get Lost by Adi Alsaid

Even though I wasn’t exactly happy with the Books-A-Million store itself, I’ve been really wanting these books, so I am glad that I got them. Hopefully in the next few weeks I can get the ones I didn’t see. I’ve been trying really hard not to spend so much money on books like I have been over the last few months. So far I’ve been good this month…so much better than usual!

IMG_9094

Overall it was a pretty good morning! It’s so nice when the boyfriend has a Saturday off work. I wish it was more often, but I guess I’ll take what I can get! We also got Steak N Shake for lunch (which I haven’t had in so long). CHEESE FRIES! Modern Romance and catching up on TV shows with the boyfriend.

Check out some of my other posts from this week! You know you want to! 😉

Friday Finds #20 & Random Blog Talk.

FridayFinds-ADailyRhythm2

FRIDAY FINDS showcases the books you ‘found’ and added to your To Be Read (TBR) list… whether you found them online, or in a bookstore, or in the library — wherever! (they aren’t necessarily books you purchased). Hosted by A Daily Rhythm.

*All linked to Goodreads*

Hey! 🙂

I had a good week with adding books to my TBR, although I’m not really sure if that’s a good thing or not since I have so many books on it to begin with! I made another list on Goodreads with the books that I REALLY want to read, so I can be a little more organized with that. Below are some of the books I added to my TBR this week. If you want to see more you can add me over on My Goodsreads.

2414320723299513256793891778868117331819

The Bad Girl and The Good Boy by Karla Luna
The Shadow Queen by C.J. Redwine
Away We Go by Emil Ostrovski
The Stars Never Rise by Rachel Vincent
Reawakened by Colleen Houck

2368581925464015226636292061372623363928

Unhappenings by Edward Aubry
All I’ve Never Wanted by Ana Huang
Shallow Graves by Kali Wallace
Life Unaware by Cole Gibson
The Library at Mount Char by Scott Hawkins

I am seriously so happy with my book adding this week and these are only some of them! They all look and sound like awesome reads. Some of the best covers I’ve ever seen too! Like…look at the amazingness of The Shadow Queen…OMG I NEED IT NOW!! FYI: Amazingness is probably not a word, BUT Becky Albertalli (author of Simon vs. the Homosapiens Agenda) totally told me that it was….

IMG_9046

But anyway, there you have it! Some of the books I added to my TBR list. Now if there could just be more time in a day or if  I could stop time, then everything will be right in the world; at least my world! I’ll have all the time in the world to…

Random Blog Talk:

I’ve been tagged to do a bunch of stuff and I swear I will get around to all of them! I’ve been slacking with that. I’ve been trying to do one a week, so I am not filling up my blog with only tags. I want to have other content too, like all the book reviews that I am failing at doing, sigh. I need to sit down and get organized. I know I’ve mentioned that in another post. I honestly have tons of things I need and want to do as far as my blog goes. Finding the time…well maybe the motivation is the difficult part. I’ve been wanting to read instead. Not that that is a bad thing…reading is always awesome…hello, this blog though! 😛 It wouldn’t be possible if I didn’t read!

I really like how my blog is going and obviously a lot of people like it too since I have over 200 followers. I just feel like if I organized myself better, then this blog can be even better. And that’s what I really want! I also need to stop putting off fixing my computer. That’s another big reason too. The thought of even turning it on when it’s not working properly gets on my nerves, so I just don’t. I’m planning this weekend to do that though. So everything should be as good as new soon!

I’ve been so good about not buying books this month, so I decided to make the boyfriend take me to Book-A-Million tomorrow. So hopefully a book haul post at some point this weekend! 🙂

And with that…I leave you with a few other posts I’ve done this week:

The Disney Book Tag.

tumblr_npkwvcMzJi1u7gnm9o1_500

Hi 🙂

I know I am super late with doing this, but I was tagged by Zezee from ZeZee with Books and Maren from The Worn Bookmark to do the Disney Book Tag! Definitely go check out their blogs; love them! I also really love Disney, so this is going to be a fun tag!

The Little MermaidA character who is out their element, a “fish out of water”.

the-little-mermaid-minimalist-poster-disney-princess-31317566-500-64022328546

Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard

Mare from Red Queen was definitely a fish out of water. She grew up poor and had to steal to get what she wanted to help her family and herself. She was then taken away from that life and thrown into a life of royalty and had to learn the Silver way of life. She was taken from what she knows and grew up with and put into a situation she had no idea about.

CinderellaA character who goes through a major transformation.

cinderella-minimalist-poster-disney-princess-31317560-391-50022628

The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky

I really felt that Charlie from The Perks of Being a Wallflower really transformed throughout the book. I was happy when he met Sam and Patrick, because I felt they really helped me break out of his shell and accept everything about himself. Charlie also went throughout as a kid too, but I felt in the end he was able to come to terms with everything that happened to him and he came out a better person.

Snow WhiteA book with an eclectic cast of characters.

snow-white-minimalist-poster-disney-princess-31317574-500-6409460487

Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs

I loved Miss Peregrine’s so much! There were so many different characters and they were all so different and stranger than the next. It was such a fun read and I can’t wait for Library of Souls.

Sleeping BeautyA book that put you to sleep.

tumblr_m68v3hdgqf1qd4d7jo1_5008755785

City of Heavenly Fire by Cassandra Clare

OMG…this book seriously put me to sleep most of the time. I bought the book when it first came out and it took me MONTHS…lots of months just to finish it, because it was just so boring. I couldn’t handle it. Zzz..

hstd1kJ

The Lion KingA character who had something traumatic happen to them in childhood.

abdbf5b7ccf10200282372d7c37a8ed27766027

I Hunt Killers by Barry Lyga

Jasper had to grow up with his father raising him and his father happened to be an infamous serial killer! I couldn’t even begin to imagine the horror he had to grow up with being raised by his serial killer father. His dad would teach him all about killing and how to get away with it. He would talk about his murders to Jasper in detail and I’m sure as a kid that would be hard to deal with.

Beauty and The BeastA beast of a book (a big book) that you were intimidated by, but found the story to be beautiful.

beauty-and-the-beast-minimalist-poster-disney-princess-31317554-391-5008407173

Jasper Jones by Craig Silvey

This isn’t actually a big book, but I really haven’t read any really big books that wasn’t over 500 pages (besides City of Heavenly Fire, but as you can see above…that wasn’t a great book to me). I have plans to (like Outlander and A Game of Thrones), but I haven’t gotten around to any. This book really stands out for me though as being a really beautiful story and I really think that everyone should read it if you haven’t yet!

AladdinA character who gets their wish granted, for better or for worse.

tumblr_m6iew50cgx1qd4d7jo8_50019547856

Simon vs. the Homosapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli

Simon has been having an email exchange with a boy named Blue and throughout the book he wanted to really meet Blue and find out who he was. He did get his wish! ❤

MulanA character who pretends to be something or someone they are not.

tumblr_m6iew50cgx1qd4d7jo7_50018525657

Broken Hearts, Fences, and Other Things to Mend by Katie Finn

Gemma literally pretended to be someone she was not. She had good intentions though, because she wanted to get her ex-best friend to forgive her for something that she did when they were kids. Such a great book and I really like Gemma.

Toy StoryA book with characters you wish would come to life.

minimal-movie-poster-chicquero-toy-story11500217

Angelfall by Susan Ee

I just want to be friends with everyone in the Penryn and the End of Days series. I would love to jump into their world and hangout and fight off bad Angels. I think it would be a lot of fun to hangout with Penryn and Raffe. Tweedledee and Tweedledum, they are so hilarious!

Disney DescendantsYour favorite villain or morally ambiguous character.

a04039fb-3984-4c3c-861c-e6b553ffc237_560_42013023

Alice in Wonderland by Carroll Lewis

I’m drawing a blank with a villain in books I’ve read recently (like over the last few years), but I really like The Queen of Hearts.

tumblr_lxe6s02g861qllg03o1_500

As for tagging, I’ve seen that a lot of the people that I follow have done this tag. If you haven’t done this tag, then you are OFFICIALLY tagged by me to do it! Don’t forget to link me to your posts if you do choose to do it! I would love to see your answers, because this was such a fun tag and everyone loves Disney, right?!

And with that…I better go! I hope you all are having a really great day! ❤

WWW Wednesdays #12.

WWW Wednesdays is a weekly MEME hosted by Taking on a World of Words. Simply answer the following questions. 🙂)

 The three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

*Goodreads linked below.

Currently Reading:

23453112623492664

Modern Romance by Aziz Ansara
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J.K. Rowling
The Flying Circus by Susan Crandall

I am really enjoying Modern Romance. It has a lot of information for those who are dating or attempting to date in the world today versus how it was in the past. It’s also hilarious, because Aziz makes the topic funny while being serious about it all too. So far the fourth Harry Potter is okay. I’m not too far into it yet and I’m not really far at all into The Flying Circus. I got it for review from Netgalley, so I want to start reading more of it asap.

Recently Finished:

2069642218635016

The Shock of the Fall by Nathan Filer
The One by Kiera Cass

I really didn’t like The Shock of the Fall too much, but I’ll link you to the post I just did on this book at the end of this post. I really liked The One and I know I’ve said this a million times, but I really hated America. I think she was my main problem with the series. I did enjoy it though and I am definitely looking forward to reading The Heir.

Reading Next:

2289655117661416

None of the Above by I.W. Gregorio
Made You Up by Francesca Zappia

Honestly, I have no idea what I am going to read next. I don’t know if I’m going to use my book jar or not. If I don’t, then I think I really want to read one of these next. I’ve had them on my bookshelf and have been dying to read them already! I’m not sure what audiobook I will read next. I did request a hold for the 5th Harry Potter, so maybe I’ll wait until that comes. I feel kind of burned out with audiobooks since I’ve listened to so many this month.

What are you currently reading? Finished reading? Reading next?

Bloggers’ Book Club: June – The Shock of the Fall.

Hi 🙂 I’ve mentioned this quite a few times, but I am in a book club over on Goodreads called Bloggers’ Book Club with some awesome bloggers. I decided to do small little posts that basically just show you guys the book that we’re reading and how I felt about the book. The book chosen for June was…

IMG_8590

The Shock of the Fall by Nathan Filer
2 OUT OF 5 STARS.

“I decided each name on each spine was the person who the book had been written for, rather than who had written it. I decided everyone in the world had a book with their name on, and if I searched hard enough I’d eventually find mine.”

I don’t really have much to say about this book, to be honest. I didn’t really like it as much as I really hoped that I would. I think I had my hopes set way too high. I didn’t really like Matthew. I also thought this book was way too confusing and I didn’t like the writing style. I also hated that it kept switching back and forth to the point that you really didn’t know what was going on or at what point in time it was all happening. I constantly felt like I was missing out on something and I hated that feeling.

It wasn’t extremely horrible, but it wasn’t great at all. I will say, that it did have a lot of good quote worthy stuff. I also liked Nanny Noo, she was pretty cool. I didn’t like any other characters in the book. It was a huge disappointment, because it was my choice for the book club. 😦 I’m pretty sure that if anyone was going crazy in/with this book, it was me as the reader. Maybe that was the point of the way that it was written, who knows. I just didn’t really like it all that much.

IMG_8738

“Some madness doesn’t act mad to begin with, sometimes it will knock politely at the door, and when you let it in, it’ll simply sit in the corner without a fuss – and grow.”

Description: While on vacation with their parents, Matthew Homes and his older brother sneak out in the middle of the night. Only Matthew comes home. Ten years later, Matthew tells us, he has found a way to bring his brother back…// What begins as a the story of a lost boy turns into the story of a brave man yearning to understand what happened that night, and in the years since, to himself and to this family. Unafraid to look at the shadows of our hearts, this rare and brilliant debut shows us the strength that is rooted in resilience and love.

IMG_8593

“Writing about the past is a way of reliving it, a way of seeing it unfold all over again. We place memories on pieces of paper to know they will always exist.

So that this post isn’t a complete downer, here is a picture of my furbaby ColbyJack chillin on some wrapping paper. I had to use old Christmas wrapping paper to wrap a gift, lol. 😛

Summertime Madness Tag.

11287390_873558479371440_258690431_n

Hey! 🙂 I was tagged by Bibliophile Gathering to do the Summertime Madness Tag! I love Stephanie and Taylor’s blog and this tag looks like a lot of fun! Shall I get started?

1: Show a book with a Summery Cover!

18525657Broken Hearts, Fences, and Other Things to Mend
by Katie Finn

I love this book so much and it’s definitely a summery type of cover and read! Relaxing on the beach is always fun to do in the summer. This book is such a fun read and who wouldn’t want to stay in a beach house for the summer?

2: Pick one fictional place that would be the perfect destination for your Summer Vacation!

16096824

A Court of Thorns and Roses
by Sarah J. Maas

The Spring Court in Prythian. Throughout reading this book I wanted to just jump in so badly! The Spring Court sounds like such a great destination and place to just hangout, relax, and have fun. I also wouldn’t mind running into Lucien. 😉

3: You’re about to go on a flight to your Summer Vacation. But you want to read a book that lasts for the whole flight, so what novella do you choose?

8309278

The Giver
by Lois Lowry

This isn’t really a Novella, but it’s such a quick read. I also love this book (and the entire series) so much and I wouldn’t mind reading it again on my flight. It’s definitely a book that can’t last a whole flight and that you could finish in a flight.

4: You have a case of Summertime Sadness. What happy book do you pick up to shine a smile on your face?

11165674

An Idiot Abroad: The Travel Diaries of Karl Pilkington
by Karl Pilkington

If you don’t know me, then you don’t know that I LOVED the show An Idiot Abroad, so I had to get Karl’s book about the destinations he traveled in that first season. It’s not exactly a happy book, but this book is SO hilarious and you will be laughing non-stop. I love Karl Pilkington so much and all of Karl’s mishaps and commentary is definitely going to give you a million laughs.

5: You’re sitting at the beach all alone…which fictional character would be your beach babe?

10507293

The Selection
by Kiera Cass

Prince Maxon from The Selection series. He seriously deserved so much better than America. He would totally be my beach babe and he could definitely use a beach vacation!

6: To match your ice cream you want an icy cool sidekick! Which fictional sidekick do you pick?

15750874

The Glass Arrow
by Kristen Simmons

Aya is such a cool character and I think we would have a lot of fun if she was my sidekick. I’m sure we could get into a bunch of fun adventures together.

7: Share the Summertime Happiness! Who do you TAG?

Joey: thoughts and afterthoughts.

Zezee: Zezee with Books.

Hadjar: Manyreads.

Nicole: awayinneverland.

Shelbie: Lu-Lu’s Rants & Reads.

Maren: The Worn Bookmark.

This tag was kind of difficult, because I haven’t really read many “summery” type books. I know I have tons that I do want to read, I just haven’t ever gotten to them. I also didn’t want to use books that I always use for book tags, so that kind of made it a little more difficult too. I have a few other tags to do too, but I’ll save those for another day!

I have to break down and finally wipe my computer this week, because it’s not working much at all. I’m pretty angry with Dell, because I’ve only had this computer since February and it sucks! I feel like they sent me a defective computer. It hasn’t worked correctly since the day I got it. It’s to the point that I don’t ever really use it much.

I spent the day laying in the sun and in the pool (which is so rare for me – I hate sunburns and swimming) and I feel a little sunburned. I put tons of sunscreen on, but I still got a little sunburn. Ughhh. It was crazy hot today though.

IMG_8873

I started Modern Romance today. I’m not that far into it yet though; only about 20 pages. I’m excited about it though. I also started a Netgalley book today too.

Anyway, I’m going to go read some until the boyfriend gets home from work. I’m also so tired and I am sure that is from being in the sun so much today! I hope everyone had a great weekend. Bye! ❤

Friday Finds #19 & Stuff.

Hey 🙂

I hope everyone had a good week so far! It was definitely a busy one for me as far as work goes. I’m also in a kind of reading slump…I’m just really bored of the book I am currently reading and just not in the mood for reading it and I feel guilty if I start another knowing that I need to get this one done. Sigh. I did listen to the first three books in the Selection series and I actually really liked them, although I really hate America…ughhh. I didn’t really find too many books this month and it’s kind of depressing. I tried to find some right now as I am doing this post, because I felt like only sharing a couple would be a little lame…you know? So here is what I got for you guys today…

23341894181669362282563116133112

Every Last Word by Tamara Ireland Stone
The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender by Leslye Walton
Our Endless Numbered Days by Claire Fuller
Fields of Elysium by A.B. Whelan

2139615535644141188078723550979

The Forbidden Wish by Jessica Khoury
The Uninvited: The True Story of the Union Screaming House by Steve A. LaChance
Are We Nearly There Yet? by Ben Hatch
Peter: The Untold True Story by Christopher Daniel Mechling

Are We Nearly There Yet? gives me the National Lampoon vibe, which is pretty cool because I love those movies so much! This is pretty much all I’ve really added to my TBR, so not really that many. These all sound like they might be good, so I guess we’ll see. I think I’m going to redo my TBR over on Goodreads. I need to reorganize it better. If I ever stop being lazy and wipe my computer, then I will get around to that. lol. I’m also going to be redoing my TBR jar too.

6644117

The Iron King by Julie Kagawa

I was able to get The Iron King on Kindle for $2.99 this week and that was really exciting, because I really wanted to read this book. I also love Julie Kagawa!

What are some of the books that you added to your TBR this week? Link me to your posts or leave a comment below!

TV TALK…

The boyfriend and I finished season three of Orange Is The New Black and we also caught up with season three of Orphan Black, which the season ends Saturday I believe, ugh. I really dislike finishing seasons of my favorite shows, because waiting for the next season is horrible. Hannibal started back up though, so that’s exciting. We haven’t gotten around to watching the episodes yet, but soon! Also, Under the Dome starts back up next week and Big Brother starts next week too, so I am excited about those!

So many of my favorite shows are returning. Doctor Who returns in a few months I believe, so YAY! I am so excited about it, because I am really loving the twelfth Doctor. He is definitely my second favorite! I actually didn’t think I would like him as a Doctor, but OMG I LOVE HIM!! I watch so many shows, lol. This is not even half of them, to be honest. I watch TV as much as I read. I love TV shows like I love buying books…I have so many. I also DVR them and then not watch them until I can marathon them or my DVR is yelling at me that it’s almost full.

Anyway…I should probably go! Before I go though, here are some of the posts I did this week:

ARCs & Stuff.

Hey! 🙂

I mentioned how I won an ARC giveaway on Twitter and thought I would share the books that I won. It was pretty exciting winning the giveaway. Below are the books:

That’s Bella in the picture. I’m dogsitting for my cousin this week.

The Vault of Dreamers by Caragh M. O’Brien
The Brilliant Light of Amber Sunrise by Matthew Crow
The Walls Around Us by Nova Ren Suma
The Secret Sisterhood of Heartbreakers by Lynn Weindarten
The Pretty App by Katie Sise
Because You’ll Never Meet Me by Leah Thomas
The Girl in the Torch by Robert Sharenow
Monday’s Lie by Jamie Mason
Zodiac by Romina Russell (signed)
Reclaimed by Sarah Guillory (not an ARC)

IMG_8325

There are a few that I have heard of and then others that I haven’t ever heard of. It was pretty cool that I won all of these though and I can’t wait to read them. 🙂

IMG_8309IMG_8613

I was also able to finally get a copy of The Isle of the Lost by Melissa De La Cruz. Target is always sold out when I go, but they finally had it again! This one also came with a free magnetic picture frame. I bought it a week or two ago. I also bought these cute mustache magnetic bookmarks! Modern Romance was released on Tuesday, so I got my copy and so excited about it!

I have actually really been good this month and haven’t bought nearly as many books as I usually do. I think I’ve only bought four physical books and a few e-books. Any other books I got were all won from Twitter giveaways. The month is already halfway over, so that’s pretty good. I usually have like at least 15 books bought by now, lol. It has definitely not been easy not buying books, because there are SO MANY books that I want.

I’ve been slacking with the book reviews again…sigh. I read so many more books than I do reviews! I think I need to organize myself more, so that way it doesn’t feel like a chore and so that it doesn’t feel overwhelming. I’m not really organized besides having a list of every book I read each month. So I am definitely looking into more ways to get more organized with the reviews that I want to do and also keeping up with them afterward. Hopefully my weekly memes and tags aren’t so bad until then!

Here are a few other posts I’ve done in case you  missed them:

I should probably go for now though. It’s another busy day at work, so I have to get to that. I hope everyone has an awesome day! Bye! ❤

 The three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

*Goodreads linked below.

Currently Reading:

2069642216248068

The Shock of the Fall by Nathan Filer
The Elite by Kiera Cass

I’m currently reading The Shock of the Fall and I honestly have no idea how I feel about it and I’m half way through it. I’m extremely confused and I don’t really like the writing style and I honestly have no clue what is even going on. I feel like I’m missing something. I am currently listening to the audiobook of The Elite and I really like it, although the love triangle going on with America is starting to really annoy me so much.

Finished Reading:

1609682410507293

A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas
The Selection by Kiera Cass

I recently finished A Court of Thorns and Roses (link to my thoughts at the end of this post) and I loved it so much! I recently finished the audiobook for The Selection and I really enjoyed reading it. I went back and forth for so long on if I even really wanted to read this series, but since the library had the audiobooks, I decided to check it out! I usually go with audiobooks for books that I’m unsure if I want to read or not. That way I can listen to them at work and when I’m not working, I can physically read books that I know that I for sure want to read.

Reading Next:

62345311223492664

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J.K. Rowling
Modern Romance by Aziz Ansari
The Flying Circus by Susan Crandall

My next audiobook is going to be Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. I’ve been listening to the entire series on audiobook this year and so far I’ve really enjoyed it. I’m looking forward to start it and most likely will be today or tomorrow. My next physical read will be Modern Romance, which I am beyond excited about! I’ve been waiting for this book for so long! I also need to read The Flying Circus that I got through Netgalley. I’ll probably be switching between Modern Romance and The Flying Circus.

What are you currently reading? Finished reading? Reading next? Leave a comment and link me to your posts! 🙂

Here are some posts that I have recently done and then I am off to work! It’s going to be an extremely busy day for me at work today, because I had to leave early yesterday. With my job, the work builds up if I’m not there doing it…and it’s already looking scary! sigh.

Top Ten Books On My TBR For Summer 2015.

Hi 🙂

There are so many books that I own that I want to get to ASAP! Making this list was kind of difficult because of that. They may not all be summer type books, but, that’s okay! 🙂 Some of these books I’ve had on my bookshelf for awhile and definitely want to get to them soon!

2339926718392459112357121879898317661416

Anything Could Happen by Will Walton
We All Looked Up by Tommy Wallach
Cinder by Marissa Meyer
The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh
Made You Up by Francesca Zappia

2345311221393526184603922289655122639095

Modern Romance by Aziz Ansari
Magonia by Maria Dahvana Headley
All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven
None of the Above by I.W. Gregorio
The Isle of the Lost by Melissa de la Cruz

I tend not to stick to lists as far as reading goes and I sometimes use my TBR jar too, so we’ll see what happens with these books!

What is on your Summer TBR? Are any of these on your list? Comment below and link me to your posts!

Before I go, here are a couple recent posts I’ve done.

I hope everyone has an awesome Tuesday! Bye!

June Read Along: A Court of Thorns and Roses.

16096824
A Court of Thorns and Roses
by Sarah J. Maas
4 OUT OF 5 STARS.

“I was as unburdened as a piece of dandelion fluff, and he was the wind that stirred me about the world.”

I joined in with Josie at Josie’s Book Corner and Stephanie & Taylor at Bibliophile Gathering to read ACOTAR throughout the month of June. It’s still going on, so if you want to join in then you can see more information about it over here.

I was kind of worried about whether I was going to even like the book, because I wasn’t that big a fan of Throne of Glass by Maas. I wanted to give this a chance though, because it sounded really good. I also love retellings, so I wanted to read it. I loved the book!  I love Beauty and the Beast and I love faeries, so this was definitely awesome!

I loved that it instantly grabbed my attention and got right into the good stuff and I was pretty much hooked from the first page. I love Sarah’s writing style and the way she explained things in this book. It was more fast paced than Throne of Glass, that’s for sure. I love fast paced books, so this was perfect.

IMG_8297

There was the perfect amount of action and romance, so the romance was not at all overpowering, which I really like. Also, a big thing that I loved was there wasn’t a love triangle! I’m kind of over love triangles, so it was nice reading a book without one! I really loved the worldbuilding in this book and I could really picture everything perfectly. I wanted to jump right in!

There are so many awesome characters in this book; so many! I instantly fell in love with Lucien. I wasn’t sure how I felt about Tamlin in the beginning, but he grew on me and I definitely love him. I can’t forget about Feyre though! She was definitely an awesome character and I felt she grew throughout the book. Rhysand, I wasn’t sure about him. I had a love/hate for him. Sometimes I wasn’t sure if I hated him or loved him.

I was pretty happy with the way that the book ended and I definitely can’t wait to read more of the story!

“Don’t feel bad for one moment about doing what brings you joy.”

Goodreads Description: When nineteen-year-old huntress Feyre kills a wolf in the woods, a beast-like creature arrives to demand retribution for it. Dragged to a treacherous magical land she only knows about from legends, Feyre discovers that her captor is not an animal, but Tamlin—one of the lethal, immortal faeries who once ruled their world. As she dwells on his estate, her feelings for Tamlin transform from icy hostility into a fiery passion that burns through every lie and warning she’s been told about the beautiful, dangerous world of the Fae. But an ancient, wicked shadow grows over the faerie lands, and Feyre must find a way to stop it . . . or doom Tamlin—and his world—forever.

“We need hope, or else we cannot endure.”

I would love to write about some other stuff in this post, but I must get to work! I hope everyone has a great day! Bye!

The Book Courtship Tag.

724ae-the2bbook2bcourtship2btag

This photo is originally from simplybookishthings.blogspot.com

Hey! 🙂
I was tagged by Josie at Josies Book Corner to do the Book Courtship Tag; love her and her blog! This tag looks like a lot of fun, so let’s get started! FYI: All will be linked to Goodreads.

Phase One: Initial Attraction: A book you bought because of the cover

17234658

A Thousand Pieces of You by Claudia Gray. I haven’t had the chance to read the book yet, but as soon as I seen this book cover I knew I had to own the book. It’s so pretty and the next book in the series has a pretty amazing book cover too!

Phase Two: First Impressions: A book you got because of the summary

12305758

Please Ignore Vera Dietz by A.S. King. The cover wasn’t that appealing to me, but the summary of the book was. Here is the summary from Goodreads:
“Vera’s spent her whole life secretly in love with her best friend, Charlie Kahn. And over the years she’s kept a lot of his secrets. Even after he betrayed her. Even after he ruined everything. So when Charlie dies in dark circumstances, Vera knows a lot more than anyone—the kids at school, his family, even the police. But will she emerge to clear his name? Does she even want to?”

Phase Three: Sweet Talk: A book with great writing

image

The Time Keeper by Mitch Albom. I am a HUGE fan of Mitch Albom and I loved this book so much. I loved the way that it was written and it felt unique to me and the style made it so easy to read and want to continue to read. The story itself was so great!

Phase Four: First Date: A first book of a series which made you want to pursue the rest of the series

2767052

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. Before reading The Hunger Games, I wasn’t always big into reading. I definitely wasn’t into reading things that weren’t non-fiction. This book made me want to continue the series and it made me appreciate all kinds of books and jump started my love for reading again, especially series books!

Phase Five: Late night phone calls: A book that kept you up all night long

18692431

Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon. This book had me up until 4AM. It was one of the most amazing books I’ve read in a long time. I was up until 3AM reading it and then I was up an hour after just thinking about the book, the characters, and doing a blog post about it! Highly recommend this book!

Fangirl Moment:
IMG_8570

Phase Six: Always on my mind: A book that you could not stop thinking about

22328546

Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard. Since I can’t choose Everything, Everything again (LOL!), I am going with Red Queen. I loved this book SO MUCH! I still think about it now and again. It was such an great read and I can’t wait for more!

Phase Seven: Getting Physical: A book in which you love the way it feels

19547856

Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli. This was kind of a weird question, lol. After going and feeling all of my books, I decided to go with Simon vs. It’s rough on some places and smooth on others and that kind of how the book felt as I was reading it. I also really love this book so much and it needed to be included in this post. 😛

Phase Eight: Meeting the Parents: A book in which you would recommend to your friends and family

IMG_1364

We Have Always Lived in the Castle by Shirley Jackson. I love this book so much. The story was so great. The characters were great. The love these sisters have for each other were amazing. I highly recommend this book.

Phase Nine: Thinking about the future: A book or series that you know you’ll re-read many times in the future

77361829520360121277501212781018705209

The Heroes of Olympus series by Rick Riordan. This series was PERFECT. I loved every single book and all of the characters. It had me laughing, crying, getting angry, I felt every emotion reading this series. I know I will continue to read it over and over again. I also can’t wait to get my nephew into reading these books and Percy Jackson and The Olympians.

Phase Ten: Share the love! Here’s who I am tagging . . .

I tag every single one of you, because I want to see your answers! This is a really fun tag and I think you all should do it if you haven’t already! Also, please link me to your posts if you do it! I want to see your answers! GO GO GO!

Due to unfortunate circumstances, the boyfriend had an entire weekend off with me! It’s so rare that this happens, but it’s been nice. Our car needed fixed, so he’s been trying to fix it and the person that was supposed to fix it on Friday couldn’t finish it and then he never showed up Saturday or today. UGHHHH! But, we’ve had the entire weekend off together and that never really happens.

Also, do to this situation…I barely got much reading done! We’ve been watching Orange Is The New Black and Orphan Black all weekend. Oooops! I do plan to finish A Court of Thorns and Roses today as I only have 100 pages left to go. I also plan to at some point today start my book club book (The Shock of the Fall). I haven’t started that and the month is almost half over, oops!

Anyway, I should probably get back to reading ACOTAR! I really want to finish it soon, so I can start my next book. I kind of feel a reading slump coming on though and that’s not a good sign. 😦

I hope everyone is having a great weekend! Bye!

Lots of awesome books this week though and I am really excited about all of them. I can’t wait to get to reading these books. I really wish there was more time in the day and I had a bigger bank account! Sigh.

KINDLE ADDS:

180812287171637157793662295036825631264

The Orphan Queen by Jodi Meadows
Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare
Edgewood by Karen McQuestion
The Water Travelers by Daniel Waltz
Dissonance by Mariella Hunt

The Orphan Queen and Clockwork Angel were both on sale ($1.99-2.99) this week, so I had to jump on that! I’m not sure when I’ll read Clockwork Angel, since I ended up not liking TMI so much toward the end of the series, but I couldn’t pass up $2.99 and it’s still $2.99 right now if you’re interested! Sadly, The Orphan Queen is no longer on sale. Edgewood is currently free right now.

The Water Travelers is currently free on Kindle until tonight, so you should totally go get it! I’ve had it on my TBR since February and I was asked recently if I would review it by Daniel Waltz (check out his blog here), so I am definitely excited to read it and do a review!

One of my other blogger friends just self-published her book Dissonance and it sounds like such a good read! I definitely plan to also do a review on her book once I read it. You can check out her blog here. Also, it’s currently only $2.99 on Amazon right now!

Any awesome e-book deals I should know about? Let me know!

In case you missed them, you can check out some of my recent posts from this week linked below!

Partials by Dan Wells

I am still reading ACOTAR, but it’s so good! I’ve just had tons of distractions, so I haven’t been able to finish it as fast as I would have liked. I should hopefully have it finished this week. I am starting the audiobook of Partials today and I’m pretty excited about it.

Finished:

208213762537391418692431

Belzhar by Meg Wolitzer
The Wedding Virus and Other Snippets by Natalie Shell
Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon

I’ve actually finished a lot of books since my last WWW post, but here are just a few of those books. Belzhar, it was okay, but I didn’t really like it that much. The Wedding Virus was a really good read. Everything, Everything was SO AMAZING!

The Shock of the Fall by Nathan Filer
The Selection by Kiera Cass

I still have to get around to The Shock of the Fall for the book club. It’s taking me longer than expected to get to it. Hopefully by Monday. My next audiobooks will be The Selection and the 4th Harry Potter; depending on which the library gets first will be what is next. I am really excited about them.

Top Ten Most Anticipated Releases For the Rest of 2015.

HI! 🙂

I am really excited about the topic for this Top Ten Tuesday, because there are SO MANY books that I am dying to read that will be released this year. Tons have already been released, but there are tons more! Narrowing the list was actually not at all easy! Here are some of the books I am really looking forward to and all linked to Goodreads.

2433829824397040237346282339568022910900

Never Always Sometimes by Adi Alsaid – August.
A Whole New World by Liz Braswell – September.
Carry On by Rainbow Rowell – October.
Illuminae by Amie Kaufman – October.
The Rest of Us Just Live Here by Patrick Ness – August.

2069758623315831183043222152444624039396

Some Other Stuff:

I was able to get a few books so far this month. I’ve been trying my hardest to stay away from buying tons of books like I have been over the last few months. So far kind of good with that. Here are the books that I got:

IMG_8232IMG_8302

Vanishing Girls by Lauren Oliver
Me and Earl and the Dying Girl by Jesse Andrews
Becoming Jinn by Lori Goldstein

I got the first two from Target a few days ago. The Target I went to kind of sucks, so they didn’t really have many books that I really wanted. I’m happy with those though; they are on my TBR. There is like a really good Target (which is a little further away from me) and then the crappy Target that’s close by, sigh. Kind of a good thing though, because I probably would have spent a lot of money had there been all the books I’ve been looking for, lol. Becoming Jinn I won in a giveaway on Twitter and I just received it today. The book cover is pretty and it sounds like it’ll be a good read. There are lots of mixed reviews of it though, so we’ll see! 🙂

I’ll leave you with a few recent posts that I have done, in case you missed them and then it’s off to work for me!

I hope everyone has a great day! Bye!

The I Am More Happy Than Not Tag.

more-happy-than-not-tag-featimg-1038x576

Hi 🙂

I was tagged by Stefani at Caught Read Handed and Josie at Josies Book Corner to do the I Am More Happy Than Not Tag. Go check out their blogs, because they are totally awesome and I love their posts!

The tag was adapted by Shelumiel @ Bookish and Awesome as a companion to Adam Silvera’s upcoming novel More Happy Than Not. The book sounds like it’ll be a really great read, so I definitely plan to pick it up as soon possible!

For this tag you just have to highlight ways you’ve been able to express happiness from the things—big and small—in your life.

It makes me more happy than not when I receive book mail! Other mail is cool too though.

I’m more happy than not when new music is released from my favorite bands.

Going to a bunch of concerts definitely makes me more happy than not! I think I went to eight last year; counting Warped Tour and I seen a BUNCH of bands there too.

That time I seen The Maine at Warped Tour.
IMG_3317

I am totally more happy than not when my two furbabies actually want to cuddle with me. They are loners most of the time.

IMG_8292

Binge watching my favorite TV shows always makes me more happy than not.

Falling in love with a new book makes me more happy than not.

When Target has new stuff in their dollar bins it makes me more happy than not. I always go straight there first.

My little family makes me more happy than not.

IMG_0935

I live in Florida, so I am more happy than not when it’s not extremely hot outside! It can get pretty bad.

Taking pictures (especially of nature and sunsets) makes me more happy than not. I also have a thing for taking macro shots of snails.

IMG_3166

IMG_1667IMG_5695

When the boyfriend and I go on movie and dinner dates makes me more happy than not.

PINTEREST! Pinterest always makes me more happy than not. Hours and hours of happiness.

ALSO TEA! Tea always makes me more happy than not!

IMG_9909

I am always more happy than not when I have freshly painted nails.

I am more happy than not when I go on random road trips (long or short).

I believe this was when we were on our way home from visiting the boyfriend’s parents in Cape Coral and there is my sunset picture taking again.
IMG_3937

The boyfriend and I being huge geeks makes me more happy than not and the fact that we both love Doctor Who so much. 😛

We have a lot of matching stuff, haha.

IMG_6444IMG_3249

I could probably go on forever, but I think this is good for now. 🙂 I am tagging:

If you weren’t tagged, you should still do it! It’s a really fun tag to do! Also, feel free to skip if you don’t want to do it! 🙂

Busy day at work today, so I better go! Bye! ❤

Everything, Everything.

Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon
5 OUT OF 5 STARS

“Sometimes you do things for the right reasons and sometimes for the wrong ones and sometimes it’s impossible to tell the difference.”

I stayed up until 3am reading this book. I couldn’t stop reading it and it didn’t feel right going to sleep leaving it unfinished. I absolutely loved this book more than words can even explain! It was EVERYTHING and more if there was more than everything. I love Maddy with every piece of my heart and she was such an awesome character and such a strong person. I instantly fell in love with Olly and Carla too.

Nicola Yoon did such an amazing job writing this book and it was uniquely written and I guarantee you won’t be able to put it down! I laughed. I cried. I got angry. I felt everything. I am so glad that I was able to read this book and be apart of this amazing story. I highly recommend this book!

I received this book from Netgalley for an honest review. It will be released in September and I do hope you all give it a chance! “Life is a gift.” I could talk about this book forever and it wouldn’t be enough. It was definitely such an amazing and beautiful story. I think I’ll end it here though, because I don’t want to give anything away. Just know, it’s amazing and it’ll shock you and make you fall in love; with Maddy, the world, and your own life.

“But it’s never just one moment. It’s a series of them. And your life can branch out from each one in a thousand different ways. Maybe there’s a version of your life for all the choices you make and all the choices you don’t.”

Goodreads Description: My disease is as rare as it is famous. It’s a form of Severe Combined Immunodeficiency, but basically, I’m allergic to the world. I don’t leave my house, have not left my house in fifteen years. The only people I ever see are my mom and my nurse, Carla. But then one day, a moving truck arrives. New next door neighbors. I look out the window, and I see him. He’s tall, lean and wearing all black—black t-shirt, black jeans, black sneakers and a black knit cap that covers his hair completely. He catches me looking and stares at me. I stare right back. His name is Olly. I want to learn everything about him, and I do. I learn that he is funny and fierce. I learn that his eyes are Atlantic Ocean-blue and that his vice is stealing silverware. I learn that when I talk to him, my whole world opens up, and I feel myself starting to change—starting to want things. To want out of my bubble. To want everything, everything the world has to offer.

“Love is worth everything. Everything.”

Since I was up until after 4AM and I am up four hours later, I think I’ll be heading back to sleep (or at least attempting to). I hope everyone is having a great weekend! Bye!

I Hunt Killers.

I Hunt Killers by Barry Lyga
5 OUT OF 5 STARS

“Sometimes hope could be the most frightening thing in the world.”

I know I’ve mentioned this before, but I love books, TV shows, documentaries, movies, etc. about murder and serial killers. If I’m not reading or catching up on my DVR, then my TV always has the Investigation Discovery channel on. So I of course wanted to read (well listen in this case) this book as soon as I read the description. It was so easy to follow along with the story and it was so good! Throughout the entire book I was trying to figure out who the killer was along with Jasper, his friends, and the police. Turns out, I was wrong the entire time and I never would have guessed! It was so fun trying though! Lots of “Oh my gosh” moments and “WHAAAAT!?” moments.

I loved Jasper and his girlfriend Connie and best friend Howie. Jasper had some pretty awesome friends to help him with some of the things he wanted to do. It was interesting getting an idea about how a child was raised by a serial killer. It was also heartbreaking that Jasper had to go through and deal with so much even after his father was arrested. It was really dark at times, but it was an interesting and really good read. I loved the book so much and the surprise ending was crazy! I really can’t wait to get the next book in the series! I’m disappointed that my library doesn’t have it 😦

I definitely recommend this book and especially if you’re into this type of thing; and mysteries and thrillers. It was so good!

“This is why I forgive, but I don’t forget. When you forget someone, the forgiveness doesn’t mean anything anymore.”

Goodreads Description: What if the world’s worst serial killer…was your dad? Jasper “Jazz” Dent is a likable teenager. A charmer, one might say. But he’s also the son of the world’s most infamous serial killer, and for Dear Old Dad, Take Your Son to Work Day was year-round. Jazz has witnessed crime scenes the way cops wish they could—from the criminal’s point of view. And now bodies are piling up in Lobo’s Nod. In an effort to clear his name, Jazz joins the police in a hunt for a new serial killer. But Jazz has a secret—could he be more like his father than anyone knows?

“We humans have the capacity to wreak horrors on each other. But we also have the capacity to survive those horrors.”

What are you currently reading right now? Any book recommendations?

Here are some posts from this week:

  • Friday Finds #17. – Some of the books I added to my TBR and Kindle this week.
  • WWW Wednesdays #9. – Books I’m currently reading, recently finished, and reading next.
  • May Reads Recap. – A look at all the books that I was able to get through in May.

I sadly didn’t do as many posts as I wanted to do, but I still have some tags I need to get to. Hopefully soon! I’ve been distracted with either reading or TV. Hannibal returned!! And I mentioned before how I’ve been obsessed with Orphan Black and have been watching that. Next Friday Orange Is the New Black returns, so I’m pretty sure I’ll be binge watching that. I actually told my boyfriend that he better ask for the day off work, because I would be watching it without him if he didn’t. 😛

followed-blog-200-2x

I do have some exciting news…I reached 200 followers and I am so excited about it! 🙂 Thank you all for being amazing and following me and liking my stuff! It’s been so fun having this blog and being able to share my love for books (and other things) with you all! I’ve met some really awesome people through doing this blog and I’m excited about all the people I will continue to meet! ❤

I hope everyone is having a great weekend! I have to eventually this weekend move everything off my computer, so I can completely wipe it and my bedroom is kind of a disaster 😦 … But for now I’m going to go read! I’m really getting into A Court of Thorns and Roses! It’s so good! Bye! ❤

Friday Finds #17.

Hey 🙂

This week I went a little crazy with adding books to my TBR. I’ve added probably over 30 books! I’m obviously not going to show you 30 books, but I’ll share 10 of them. Choosing which ones to share was such a hard decision! If you want to see other books that I added to my TBR, you can add me over on Goodreads over here. Let’s get started…

After the Woods by Kim Savage

I am super excited about all of these recent adds! They all sound awesome and I am hoping when I do eventually get to them that they are as good as they sound! I also love all of these books overs! I am most excited about Dumplin’ and Emancipated. 🙂

I also got a couple e-books and a couple approvals for some books from Netgalley this week. Below are the e-books and Netgalley approvals.

The Wedding Virus and Other Snippets by Natalie Shell
Afterworlds by Scott Westerfeld
The Flying Circus by Susan Crandall – Netgalley
Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon – Netgalley

I already mentioned Everything, Everything in my last post, but figured I would share again since it goes with this post. I started to read The Wedding Virus a little bit to see what it was like before buying and it’s pretty funny and interesting; it is currently 99 cents on Kindle right now. I got Afterworlds when it was on sale for $1.99 and I was so happy about that, because now it’s back to $10.99! I can’t wait to read The Flying Circus, it sounds really good.

What are some of the books that you added to your TBR this week? Link me to your posts or leave a comment below!

I am so excited that it’s Friday, because I have lots of books that I want to read and I feel like I haven’t really gotten much reading done throughout this week. For now though, it’s off to work for me! I hope everyone has a great Friday! Bye! ❤

WWW Wednesdays #9.

WWW Wednesdays is a weekly MEME hosted by Taking on a World of Words. Simply answer the following questions. 🙂)

 The three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

’89 Walls by Katie Pierson
A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas
The Looking Glass Wars by  Frank Beddor

I know, I know…I’m still reading ’89 Walls and it’s been like a month almost? Sigh. I’m just not sure how I feel about it and I’ve been getting distracted with other books, oops. I am trying to finish it in the next couple days. I’m about 45% through with it, so hopefully soon! I’ve been switching between ACOTAR and so far it’s good. I’m not really that far into it, just a few chapters, but I’m not bored at all…so that’s a good sign. My audiobook is The Looking Glass Wars and I really love this! I’m almost done and I’ll most likely have it finished today.

Recently Finished:

2201927416131484

Revenge, Ice Cream, and Other Things Best Served Cold by Katie Finn
The Infinite Sea by Rick Yancey

I’ve talked about Revenge, Ice Cream a lot, so I am sure that you all know how much I love this book and the entire series so far. I’m sure you all also know that you should NOT read the description to this book without reading the first book (Broken Hearts, Fences, and Other Things to Mend) first! lol…I know I said that a million times and I purposely did not link to the Goodreads page for that reason, lol. The Infinite Sea was definitely really good and I can’t wait for the next book! You’ll see these books in my recap post, which I will link at the end of this entry in case you missed it.

Reading Next:

The Shock of the Fall by Nathan Filer
I Hunt Killers by Barry Lyga

The Shock of the Fall is my read for the book club I’m in and I know I’ve mentioned that before. It was my choice, so I hope I like it. I know some people didn’t like it, but others absolutely loved it…so we’ll see how I feel once I get it started! I Hunt Killers is going to be my next audiobook. It sounds really good and can’t wait to get started with it.

What are you currently reading? Finished reading? Reading next? Or link me to your post! 🙂

Other random things:

  • I was approved for Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon on Netgalley and I am SO SO SO excited about this! It’s been one of the books that I’m most excited about releasing this year! I will definitely be trying to read it this month or in July if I can’t get to it this month. Also, isn’t the cover so pretty?! 🙂

18692431

  • I’ve been tagged to do a bunch of stuff, which I will be getting to ASAP! I’ve just been busy…well obsessed and binge watching Orphan Black. The show is so crazy and ahhhhhh I love it!
  • There are so many new releases that just came out and it’s seriously killing me that I can’t buy them all RIGHT NOW! I’m trying to hold myself back from spending ridiculous amounts of money that I don’t have right now. It’s probably a good thing I don’t have any credit cards. 😛
  • Over the weekend I have to completely wipe my new computer and restart it. I am NOT happy about this. I’ve been having problems since the day I bought it and took it out of the box. I’m just waiting on a flash drive, so I can move all my pictures and music off it. Sigh.

I guess that’s all for this post. In case you missed it, you can see my May Recap post over hereAll the books I read or listened to in May. I will end this post with a picture of my furbaby ColbyJack trying to harass my younger sister’s gerbils, lol.
