Hi 🙂

I know I have mentioned this a couple times in my blog already, but I am in a book club over at Goodreads called Bloggers’ Book Club. It was started by one of the book bloggers I follow on here and I am so excited to be apart of it. There are tons of bloggers (some I’ve met on here and some I haven’t yet) that are in the book club as well. Twice a month we are supposed to do group discussions/chats on the book and we did our first one and that was actually so much fun! I figured I would do small little blog posts about the books we read each month. Basically, just how I felt about the book and whether I liked it or not. I’ll try to keep from spoilers as much as I can in case you haven’t read the book yet or plan to ever read it. I set up a “category”, so you can find the posts easier if you are interested in reading them. There is a drop down menu on the right sidebar on my blog with it in there. The Glass Arrow by Kristen Simmons. 4 out of 5 stars.

I really enjoyed reading this book and it was good at keeping my attention. It was kind of a scary read, even though it wasn’t the scary/horror type of genre. It was scary, because it’s something that I could see happening in the world. There were also some things and views of some of the characters that you see every day in the world today. It really makes you think about society now and what it could possibly be like in the future. It was kind of realistic, to be honest; similar things like what was happening in the book could very well be happening in other places that we really don’t know about. I loved the main character Aya, she was such a badass. Some of the other characters were lovable too, especially Brax (he’s a wolf). You also have your annoying characters and the characters you want to knock some sense into! The entire story was so great and I really like how it ended, although I really wanted more. It ended perfectly, but there is still part of you that wants to know what happens to everyone afterward. Like what happens now? It was a great read though.

The moderators of the book club set up a Q&A with the author Kristen Simmons, so I am excited to see how she answers all of our questions!
