Greyhound by Steffan Piper. I was browsing the Kindle Unlimited with narration section of Amazon looking for a new book to listen to at work. I was instantly drawn to this book by the cover. It looked like it would be an interesting read, so I decided to read the description and it seemed interesting enough.

I absolutely LOVED the book so much! I was laughing (sometimes out loud), smiling (I’m sure everyone at work thought I was crazy), getting angry, sad, and even tearing up. I experienced almost every emotion in only 240 pages. I decided to come home and finish the book and by the end I was crying so much; happy tears. I was glad I finished it at home because if I finished it at work, I probably would have gotten a lot of crazy looks and questions why I was crying, lol.

I finished the book in one day between listening at work for 6 hours and finishing the rest at home for 2 hours. The narration was perfect and I think that influenced a lot of why I loved it so much. The characters were perfect and the entire story was great. It really makes you think about life and what and who is truly important. It shows you how kind people can truly be; people you don’t know. It also shows you how dangerous and cruel people can be. Reading this book only further made me believe that there is always light at the end of the tunnel even if it takes awhile and a bunch of bumps in the road to get there.

I already want to read it again and I just finished it today. This will be a book that I plan on actually purchasing. It has definitely been the best book I’ve read so far this year. This will be one of those books that I will always recommend to someone and read over and over. I am so glad the cover popped out at me, because I don’t think I would have given it a second look.
